To think that Harry and Megan's return to the UK has everything to do with money running out?

That really. I mean it's not like they are loved here whether it comes to family or the public. I think Harry might genuinly want to live in England whereas his wife is looking for the attention and money.

I suspect Harry's had a heads up that his visa was not going to be renewed.

Why the focus on Meghan all the time? Very strange how she is blamed and monstered for everything. I wonder what the reason for the hate could be?

Easier to blame the already famous celeb American tbh.

The U.K. were always sold the story of a happy cheeky chappy prince. Turns out it was all a cover for a grumpy racist man who is jealous of not being born first or getting more sausages 😬🫣

I expect you're trying to imply that poster is racist, but the most obvious difference between them is that one is an American brought up in celebrity culture and the other is a member of the British royal family.

We all know a lot of the hatred for Meghan is steeped in racism.

It’s relentless.

That's interesting. What makes you think Harry is genuine and reasonable, and his wife is a money-grabbing attention-seeker?

What's the difference between them, I wonder?

Considering you know neither of them.....what obvious traits are you drawing on here?

🙄

Why is it, seriously, that people who, I am quite sure, would proclaim themselves "not racist in any way" turn to race, identify race and focus on race as soon as they see it whilst the rest of us, lesser beings, just see people.....

tarheelbaby · 20/08/2026 09:36

I wonder whether Harry is having immigration problems? Has he managed to acquire a green card?

I’m not sure he has much good feeling here left.

Do we? I'm not white and I'm not fond of either of them, because they come across as entitled, tone-deaf, immature and spiteful, all while making significant claims of victim status.

Yet it’s Harry’s family who comprise of a rapist (Andrew), adulterer (Charles), woman who pays bribes to get her son off rape charges (Elizabeth II), using connections and title for financial gain (Prince Edward, Fergie and Andrew).

Fascinating that you’re silent on all that and yet Meghan gets all your ire.

Being not white doesn’t make anyone incapable of racism.

How do you know what I'm silent about? Ire is pushing it, as well, but my lack of regard for Meghan is more than matched by my negative opinion of Harry.

Well if they will lose an ill advised court case with almost no evidence, make the world’s most boring lifestyle show which people saw as inauthentic, refuse to get jobs and have two children, what do they expect? They massively overestimated the public’s interest in them as a couple, the only thing people want to hear about is the beef with their families.

So true

You're boring me with your infantile "points" learnt on social media.

Are any of them in the papers currently being the headlines?

Because I’m sure most of us have shared an opinion on all of them at one point or another.

HoppityBun · 20/08/2026 09:42

They’ve just run out of options where they were living and have to try their luck back here.

Which part of ‘Being not white doesn’t make anyone incapable of racism’ is learned from social media?

No, I reckon they want a British education for their kids so they become properly British and are shaped in their heritage. And to mark their territory. And maybe to get away from US politics.

Well there's lots of possible reasons and I don't suppose we will ever know. One thing I do know is being homesick can be powerful. I've two close family members who married people from other countries. Starts off as a fun adventure living here for a while living there for a while but there came a stage when they wanted to be in their own country. In my family both ended up in divorce and one partner returning home.

Maybe Harry is homesick and Meghan is going to give living here another chance for his sake. Who knows?

Which is why I said "a lot of the hatred" not "all the hatred". I agree that not everyone who has this irrational hatred for a woman they don't know and who has zero impact on their lives is racist. But some are.

I always find it fascinating when people act as if they know them.

And feel like they have the right to judge.

People can judge by actions taken in the public eye. By what is said in public. By what is written.
People can form a view of someone by their behaviour. You do not have to know someone to have an opinion.

Gemilo · 20/08/2026 09:47

I think the most obvious answer is that they want to get their feet back under the table before the King passes. Because once William is King there will be no way back.

Of course people can have opinions.

It’s just odd how some of them are presented as facts.

No, I was pointing out the "obvious difference" between them. I have no better opinion of the British Royal Family than I do American celebrity culture.

Keep on ascribing thoughts and prejudices to me, though, you obviously enjoy that kind of superiority posturing.
