AIBU to think if we need to politely ask men not to rape women (or men), then we don't want such people in the UK?

Don't rape, sexually assault or make kissing noises' at people, asylum seekers warned in guidance about living in UK
UK arrivals have been told to treat women equally, not sexually assault partners or have sex with children in a new Home Office pamphlet. As well as the guidebook, a series of posters have also been designed by the government.

I remember Angela Merkel admonishing someone for waving a German flag

It's staggering how much damage one woman did to Germany.

And she’s getting awards for it.

I see you.

In fact, I’ve seen you for a long time.

Is that a threat?

What is wrong with you?

Seriously, help me out here.

If that's not revolting and debauched enough, it takes it to a whole new level when elderly men are raped. They are becoming more emboldened.

I was quite shocked to hear about that. It made me wonder if the perpetrator was latently homosexual, just wanted to have sex with something/anything, or whether it was an intended act of debasement.

I remember being surprised to hear that in some African countries (often amongst the most homophobic cultures) that male rape is a common tool used by soldiers to suppress the men of conquered villages. I remember a man explaining how the general/warlord had anally raped him while he was held face down by soldiers. It wasn't seen as a homosexual act. The shame was on the victim.

Grim stuff by all accounts.

She's just trying to sound high and mighty and all knowing. Best to ignore people like that, they get a kick out of looking down on people.

"I see you" is a common expression effectively saying "I see you for what you are" or "I know your game".

I find it hard to believe you've not seen it used on here before. It's extremely common in the feminist section. In practically every thread where somebody disagrees with the popular feminist stance somebody will say "I see you" and then proceed to imply that said poster is a man. I've been called a man in there more times than Caitlyn Jenner!

GaIadriel · 23/08/2026 23:58

But I think its safe to say that Gunnel doesn't have a telescope aimed at your window lol.

Couldn't be anyone else holding this particular data really could it

I mean did poster think that McDonald's held the data

He/ she clearly is refusing to respond to the statistically significant differences in offending rates shown in the data because this proves his/ her position (that men from all cultures are equally likely to attack women and children) is factually wrong. He/ she prefers instead to pretend that the MOJ has invented its data. 🙄🤯

It really is beyond ridiculous for someone to be making so many comments on this topic and yet not be capable even of having a rational discussion about facts: first pretending that the data doesn’t exist, then claiming they don’t understand it or know “which bit” to look at, then trying to claim the data has been invented, all of these excuses to avoid having to engage with the uncomfortable truths that the data reveals.

@nomashere you go, a link to the original publication following a freedom of information request made to the CPS:

Now, are you going to answer my questions?

I won’t hold my breath.

Is that a threat?

Strange that you find other posters’ questions in an online discussion “threatenig” yet simultaneously you appear to be unconcerned about the physical threat to women and children in the UK due large numbers of men from countries with violent and misogynistic cultures being let loose in our society.

Rape? Nah, don’t worry about it.

People disagreeing with you and sharing statistics that show you’re wrong? Very threatening, they must be stalkers, or something. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🫠

ProudBlackMomma · 24/08/2026 06:12

No idea why my posts were deleted. The men who require such guidance add no value . We don’t need them here. Honestly, sometimes I think Kemi is one of the few politicians who gets this. She is very impressive on this topic.

Oh come on now you're being disingenuous. She hasn't said she finds questions or statistics threatening at all.

She said she finds someone saying they see her and have for a long time threatening, and being honest it was supposed to come across that way wasn't it.

I think you're the one being disingenuous. The poster has form for making others believe they are being unreasonable with concern about asylum seekers carrying out sexual assault. @GunnelVallquist was pointing that out, since we are mindful of what we can say according to MN guidelines.

I've had people say "I see you" to me loads of times (I guess implication being that I'm a mad racist or something). I didn't take it as a theat.

Up until recently it was mostly used this way. The arguments aren’t really holding up now though.

nomas · 23/08/2026 17:30

are you in disagreement that a feature of rapes by migrant men is that they attack in packs?

The majority of group based rape is by white men. Like these Hartlepool group of men who have just been released, they abducted a 13yo and took turns to rape her and treated her like an object.

Rape is unacceptable regardless of the perpetrator’s race.

No one wants uncontrolled migration.

No wants any woman to be raped.

But you can’t white wash rape as a racialised crime, we see through you.

"We see through you" is identical to "we/I see you" in terms of intent and meaning. Its literally the same thing.

Same turn of phrase, same context. Its not threatening when you say it though, its only threatening when you're struggling in a debate and you need to fabricate a means of side-stepping the hammering you're taking.

BubbleAndLeek · 24/08/2026 08:43

Again white British men commit VAWG. VAWG happens here. No need to bring in men from nations where VAWG is even more and the culture is horrific. You can go out and have a day in London without getting groped or assaulted. You go for a day out in Turkey, Morocco or Tunisia the men will constantly hound you

Quite. I knew they’d used the phrase to me.

It’s a good point by a pp about stranger attack statistics. Are they available anywhere?

WhoTookMyGlassess · 24/08/2026 08:56

What about a pamphlet aimed at British males, especially those who are now waiting for early release following domestic violence and sexual offences? Perhaps in simplified English at reading level of 9-11 years old or lower, as it's the average reading age in the UK
