AIBU to think if we need to politely ask men not to rape women (or men), then we don't want such people in the UK?

Don't rape, sexually assault or make kissing noises' at people, asylum seekers warned in guidance about living in UK
UK arrivals have been told to treat women equally, not sexually assault partners or have sex with children in a new Home Office pamphlet. As well as the guidebook, a series of posters have also been designed by the government.

Have you actually read the thread, or indeed any of my comments?

As stated several times, a poster earlier in the thread posted the Ministry of Justice data. I then analysed it per capita of population.

So your response is, then, to deny the validity of the data rather than to actually respond to what the data shows.

Or to answer why it is you think that the MOJ is refusing to comply with the ICO’s order to release crime statistic data by nationality, making completely implausible excuses not to do so and appealing the ICO’s order in court?

I’ve just looked back at the thread. You posted the same table on 20 Aug. The table has no date. Neither you nor anyone else posted a link.

I’ve googled it but it won’t show the underlying spreadsheet.

Can you link to the website?

Lammy fighting to ‘cover up’ foreigners’ crimes

Ministry of Justice taking legal action to avoid publishing conviction data broken down by nationality

The MoJ is seeking to overturn a ruling by the Information Commissioner that data revealing the full scale of foreign offending in England and Wales from 2018 to 2024 should be published.

Nick Timothy, the shadow justice secretary, said: “Labour have consistently refused to publish sex crime data by nationality, even though we know migrants from some countries are much more likely to be convicted of rape and assault,

Be alarmed.

@nomas here is the data from the MOJ again, regarding rape prosecutions/ convictions by ethnicity, then adjusted per capita so that you can clearly see the difference in offending rates. And that is with the vast majority of the men in this data being British nationals/ long-term residents - the very statistically significant differences are still obvious. It’s absurd to deny that culture has an impact.

I ask again, why do you think the MOJ is making an appeal on utterly spurious legal grounds to try to withhold the data split by nationality, where the differences in offending rates will doubtless be even more stark?

I mean, surely @nomas you must recognise that in the context of this debate it’s relevant that — based on the limited data the MOJ has deigned to release to the public so far — we can see that, as one example, if a woman in the UK happens to come across a man of Chinese ethnicity he is statistically less than 10 times less likely to rape her than a man of Pakistani ethnicity?

That is extremely relevant information, when we are considering which people we might like to come to live here and from which kinds of cultures. This is why the request to release the crime statistics based on nationality was made: it will be far more granular (avoiding the absurdities here that I pointed out in earlier posts, like men of Middle Eastern heritage being categorised with men of Japanese heritage, for example, which likely masks the much higher offending rates of the former and the much lower offending rates of the latter, given the offending rates in their respective cultures).

When cross sectioned with this data based on ethnicity, were we to be allowed access to the data about offending rates for different crimes by nationality (data collected at our expense, from our own institutions, that is meant to be publicly available to us per our laws and as is necessary for a democracy to continue to function and make evidence-based decisions) it would be very revealing of the true risk profile of those coming to live in the UK from various countries and types of culture, and how these risks persist across generations in some specific cultures and not others even when people are second or third generation British citizens because certain communities refuse to integrate and adopt our cultural values and norms.

I think it’s perfectly reasonable for us as a country to prioritise the safety of our women and children above the desire of men from other countries to come to live here if they demonstrably pose a significantly increased in risk to us and there is evidence that there is a very low chance of them respecting our culture or intergrating and accepting our social norms and values. Why should we? There are many other countries to choose from which might be a better fit for them.

Democracies rely on people having information with which to make informed decisions. Sometimes the data shows that the objective facts are not what we might have hoped to be the case, but that does not mean that the data and objective facts should be repressed.

Ironically, such an attitude which aims to repress knowledge, science, fact, rationality and open discussion is precisely the opposite approach to what has made western societies the better places on Earth to live in terms of affluence and safety, resulting in so many people having a preference to live in them if they were given the choice. If they wish to do so, we need to be able to assure ourselves that they are people who will contribute to and be part of our society and uphold the very things which created the environment in which they desire to live, rather than them degrade our environment to make it more like the societies they wish to leave and bring with them the very different values which makes those places awful places to live.

It is not at all unreasonable to stipulate that we will only accept those capable and willing of integrating into our society and accepting our values and we have a right to know what we are agreeing to, who we are accepting and the risk that this poses to us and our children before we agree to do so. Or, indeed, to refuse.

Nobody has a “right” to go and live wherever they want to and then disrupt that society. We have a right to the information to be able to make informed decisions and hold our politicians to account and people trying to repress release or rational discussion of the data is sinister and fundamentally undermines everything which actually makes this a safe country to live in, in the first place.

Sorry you think I am an AI. Maybe you’re just not used to reading posts from literate people. In fact, because I’m tired, I’ve had to edit a few to correct spelling and grammatical errors I’ve made so presumably that should evidence that your latest derailment attempt is just further nonsense.

You’ve been told where the figures come from. They are MOJ figures posted earlier in the thread by another poster. You can check them in the MOJ’s published data.

Do you have anything to say about what the data actually demonstrates? Or are you going to continually pretend that you don’t understand it/ it’s not real/ you don’t know which row to look at, etc.?

MaturingCheeseball · 23/08/2026 19:44

@nomas - sympathy for the 13-year-old - maybe. But for the police? Nah. You couldn’t give a toss. Victim hierarchy rools, ok. So women and girls similarly are way down the pecking order and rapists et al - as long as they identify as asylum seekers or refugees are either non-existent or untouchable.

Yes I bloody do.

i remember the days when the sun would do a countdown of the days until a particular celebrity was aged 16 and could legally have sex. Rinse and repeat, very very frequently. Emma Watson and Charlotte church were both subjected to this.
https://www.theguardian.com/media/2011/dec/29/leveson-inquiry-sexist-offensive-reporting?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other

so few rapes are prosecuted and convicted that frankly those stats tell you more about which groups of men are stupid enough to leave evidence then anything else.

One in four women have been raped or sexually abused. One in six children have.

yes, we need to give this to all men!

Again: do you have anything to say about what the data shows to be the case i.e. the enormous difference in offending rates between people of different ethnic origin?

MaturingCheeseball · 23/08/2026 19:51

I shouldn’t get so worked up. But it is so dispiriting that people like Nomas don’t see any problem.

In Ceuta the beaches are now no-go areas. People are staying indoors. The men are openly defecating and trying to rob shops. Demanding to go to Spain. The French camps are brutal places with rampant crime, filth and drug-taking.

But these men present no greater threat to women and girls here than the general male population. Yep. Right.

I agree. Unfortunately many will call us far right racist bigots for such views, to try and close down legitimate concerns. Well, it’s going to affect them soon too.

They'll probs find some way to blame it on the Tories. 🤣

Last thread it was "why would they act with humanity when we don't treat them with humanity?" An argument that might be worth considering if these men weren't already doing this stuff back home.

Lara Logan was only one of many reporters who've been raped/SA'd in public by middle eastern men. And the feminists who so love to wang on about the 'two women a week' were oddly silent about the 1200 women in one night who were sexually assaulted in Germany by a mob of mainly north African and Arabic men. 🤔

It shows that a lot of people don't really care about the issues so much as about virtue signalling. They'll throw women and girls to the wolves at the slightest hint that defending them might involve criticising ethnic minorities. Some people just can't comprehend that you can simultaneously be oppressed and be an oppressor to those with even less power than yourself. It's like how many abusers are abuse victims themselves.
