To ask if you think the prime minister has a democratic duty to house asylum seekers in middle class areas

By which I mean, would most voters support this as opposed to a change in policy to refuse in greater numbers? I honestly can't tell what "the majority" actually wants. I would prefer fewer having seen how things went in Germany thanks to the Merkel wave but I am willing to believe I'm a backwards old boomer and a majority would be more welcoming.

They (UK governments) tend to say they have no choice due to the echr but this isn't true. There are a lot of operational choices they could make (eg sometimes when people are denied entry at the border they are actually allowed into the country for a few days and instructed to report back to the airport when it's time for the removal flight).

I am suggesting that the envy poisoning people who are bringing down society take their misery to the “up” crowd, maybe they’ll be less vitriolic about the fact they are now sharing the problem.

We're obviously not in control of our own borders. Neither are the rest of Europe, Canada, Australia or New Zealand. Even the US is experiencing an influx of middle eastern/north African people. It's baffling. Almost as though it's a coordinated effort.

Not according to the people who live there. It's not being reported though. Of course the press are restricted in what they can report.

I agree it all seems to have exploded recently. Why are there so many Somalis in the US all of a sudden? And causing no end of trouble. As people have commented, other immigrants came to make their way, not to arrive in order to claim welfare.

I believe all forms of supported accommodation (asylum seekers, domestic abuse accommodation, supported living for mh community patients, ex offenders hostels, supported living for people with physical disabilities, recovery hostels and so on) should be in in all socioeconomic areas.

this has long been an issue, this puts extra pressure on local public services, why should this not be shared so we are treating everyone regardless of their finances more equally
