Broke until payday - cannot buy the glasses

Autistic 7yo will not understand nor care

Will just stick it on the telly and call it a day

Have LOVED saying 'full moon, half moon, total eclipse' to myself though 😄😩

We are going to the cinema which starts at 745pm so depends whether we are outside or inside, but I’m not stressing too much about it.

No going outside and I would advise everyone else to stay indoors. You will either blind yourself or have a horrible accident. It's all in the news today. Stay safe people. Oh and make sure your phone is inside in a tin box just in case!!

Tbf i only found out a couple of days ago through Reddit, I don’t watch the news or read it anymore. I did have a quick look on Amazon for some glasses, wouldn’t come until Friday 🤷‍♀️

199p the plan was to go up the nearby chuch tower (skeleton staff of the uninterested left behind) I got stuck on the phone for AGES with an unhappy client and only noticed it went a bit dim, the outside security light came on and eventually the birds started ? a dawn chorus.

Client eventually said as they concluded the call "Ooo I missed the eclipse" (like it was my fault somehow) They did get a rather terse "Yes we did".

I'm not in a good place to see the sun and can't get to one so imagining similiar underwhelment, but hope everyone has a good time! It's meant to get a bit cooler for a bit, huge plus.

Do you have a spare cereal packet (or similar cardboard box? And kitchen foil?

Line the inside base with white paper (an envelope would probably do) and cut two squares out of the lid end (you will look through to the base from one and the other will accommodate the pinhole).

Stick/sellotape the lid shut and cover one hole with foil (tape it down). Get a pin or needle and make a tiny hole in the foil.

You should then be able to angle the box at the sun to project onto the white end of the inside of the box.
