Not a huge fan of Labour I must say, but this is well overdue!

No there isn't any data that proves me wrong. The data says that you are more likely to be sexually assaulted by someone who is white British. That's what the data says. So don't go copying links of various individual crimes or making up spurious claims about "grooming gangs" when the data says explicitly that it is white British men committing the majority of sexual offences.

That's all that needs to be said. Close the thread, refugees welcome. Free Palestine.

I have nothing more to say to you.

If white British men commit the majority of sexual offences, that is because they are the majority.

Why have you shoehorned Palestine into this?

I think the t word comes to mind

There is data (not from the UK as they won't release it) that says men from some African countries are up to 22 times more likely to rape/sexually assault a woman than the native population. But don't let facts get in the way of your rhetoric.

Even the UK data says 3 to 4 times more likely

My sister has just come back from York. She described the same scenes there. Once beautiful cathedral cities are now spoiled. If you say anything you're racist no, you're saying that swathes of men, coming from France, are bringing with them a culture that is at odds with our own with regards to the 'availability' of women and girls.

I wonder if the sort of problems people are reporting are predominantly a northern/midlands thing?

In the last 15 months or so, I've been to Salisbury, Winchester, Norwich and Wells and I visit Chichester regularly. All of them are just as lovely as ever; not spoiled in any way (although I concede that they appear to have lost some independent shops, but that seems to be the case everywhere).

I think Debbie Savage is Titiana McGrath…

Regarding democracy, yes, I think we will hit a problem soon. There could be around 30 Muslim vote MPs in the next parliament. That is not MPs who happen to be Muslim, but people standing on purely a Muslim ticket - pro-cousin marriage, relaxed immigration, segregation etc. High turnout (organised postal voting) and being directed how to vote will dramatically affect certain cities. With devolved local council powers we will begin to see “city states” making their own rules, too.

angelos02 · Yesterday 12:00

Why is it that certain parts of the UK are very much demographically different to other areas? People tend to prefer to be around others that are culturally similar to themselves. But God forbid a white family wants to live around other white families in a predominantly white area! They get called racist. Doesn't happen the other way round though.

I think that's a very cynical thing to say about people fleeing persecution and looking for a better life from themselves. The assumption is that they will integrate and find themselves a partner from the local area, I know a lot of young British women will benefit from an expansion in the dating market. All I had to choose from when I was young was white British men!

Oh how positively awful for you.

It’s amazing how often the conversation about “the boats” completely ignores Britain’s own history. Britain spent centuries travelling across the world, colonising countries, controlling their people and extracting their resources. We created political, economic and cultural connections with huge parts of the world that still exist today.

Then look at Windrush. People from the Caribbean came to the so-called mother country, many as British subjects, and helped rebuild post-war Britain. They worked in our NHS, transport system and industries, only to face horrendous racism and discrimination. Decades later, some were even wrongly treated as illegal immigrants, detained and removed from the very country they had every right to call home.

That doesn't mean we shouldn't control our borders or deal with dangerous Channel crossings. We absolutely should. But this idea that Britain has always existed as some isolated little island that the rest of the world suddenly decided to descend upon is historically ridiculous.

For centuries Britain went out into the world. Now people act completely bewildered that some of the world comes to Britain. And as for the suggestion elsewhere on this thread that these men are coming because they want British womene bodies talk about flattering yourselves.

You're a bit late with that one. That was tried on last night.

What statistic says that it's never been safer to be a woman, and if such a statistic exists how do you directly link that to immigration? The number of recorded rapes in England and Wales in 1997 was 6628, its now 74727. In Poland it was less than 1100 for the 2025 calendar year.

Poland is a safe place.
But Poland also records rape cases differently. That doesn't mean it is secretly a rape capital and the truth is being covered up. It does mean that it's hard to compare rape statistics across countries.

Marital rape for example is much more likely to be reported and followed up since the 90s. Likewise attitudes towards what counts as rape (rape as being sex without consent rather than sex accompanied by physical violence/force) have rightly changed. This is a good thing but also means more cases of rape are reported rather than just accepted as how things are.

Poland is a safe country on the whole for women but it's lower rates of rape are also affected by differences in the legal and cultural definitions of rape https://notesfrompoland.com/2021/04/17/the-legal-definition-of-rape-in-poland-needs-to-change-but-so-do-cultural-attitudes/

Russia, on paper, doesn't have bad DV or sexual violence rates but that's because rape and domestic violence is in many cases effectively legalised. If we made all crime legal we would dramatically reduced crime rates. But we would not have created a safer country.

The legal definition of rape in Poland needs to change - but so do cultural attitudes

I don't know if you are middle class or not but I think an easier way to look at is is to ask yourself if you live in a predominantly white area.

If the answer to that is "yes" then you can rest assured that you will be in one of the areas that will be getting "its fair share", whether you drink a merlot with your supper or keep coal in the bath.

Andy dare not say " White areas will have to take their fair share" so he uses "middle class" instead. So transparent!

Good, it's about time there was more diversity where I live.

I'm sorry I just came in this thread to dispute the accusation about asylum seeker men needing their 'sexual needs met' when they can find many local women who will be more than happy to establish long lasting relationships with them, I have no interest in getting into protracted arguments over suspicious data from countries like Germany when I know for a fact that these people are no danger to us whatsoever. They are desperate people fleeing war, famine and persecution. They need to be treated with kindness and respect, not subjected to horrendous accusations about their sexual intentions.

I just hate what's happening to society. This must be what it felt like to a sensible liberal in 1930's Germany. I am so scared.

How do you propose these men “get their needs met” in Piddington, Oxon where they will outnumber the locals 4 to 1?

Where there is a village shop and a church, and nothing else except for an infrequently running bus service?

Where presumably the vast majority of women are minors or if adults, in relationships, given villages are famously not exactly fertile grounds for young single people?

It's alright Lucky, I might just divorce my husband and bag myself one of these young exotic men coming over from overseas anyway. Apparently they have all these voracious 'sexual needs' that require satisfying which might come in handy for a woman married to a 45 year old man that has really let himself go after all these years.

Saw the other day that there is special “Bangladeshi” social housing in London, taking into account cultural norms and for extended family living. I believe Sadiq Khan said that Muslim people want to live amongst other Muslims. Fine - but why is it the taxpayer’s job to fund this?

There seems to be no expectation of this community contributing - it’s London fgs - why are people unemployed?

If that floats your boat. You could also adopt a myriad of other misogynistic cultural traditions if you like. Go for it girl! Just don’t force it on those of us that like our safety and freedoms.
