But what exactly do you mean by “men from third world countries”, and where are the UK per capita rape statistics that prove your claim?
Cologne was horrific. Nobody is denying what happened to those women. But a mass sexual assault in Germany on New Year's Eve 2015 doesn't establish the rape rate of millions of people from developing countries, nor does it establish the rape rate of migrants or asylum seekers in Britain.
If you're making a per capita claim, you need actual data the number of offenders in the group, the size and demographic make up of that population, and a genuinely comparable rate for the rest of the population. Look at Cologne isn't a per capita statistic.
In fact, the ONS has explicitly said it doesn't hold crime statistics broken down by asylum seeker or migrant status. So where is your figure coming from?
And while we're discussing sexual violence, the latest ONS evidence shows victims of rape or assault by penetration were considerably more likely to report that the perpetrator was a partner or ex partner than a stranger.
Sexual violence is an enormous problem and women deserve better than having their experiences turned into ammunition for an immigration argument. If the evidence shows a particular group presents a greater risk, then show the evidence and let's discuss it. But nationality, immigration status and third world countries aren't interchangeable categories, and Cologne isn't a statistic for Britain.
