AIBU to worry about taking enough sunscreen in cabin luggage?

I've never been overseas before.
Going to Greece in 2 days with 2 little DC.
Easyjet.
We are taking cabin luggage only.
100mls restriction for any lotions.
I am really worried about sunscreen for DC.
What do people do?? I00mls sunscreen wont last 2 weeks for both DC, as I'm planning on smothering them in it every couple of hours and every time they get out of sea.
I've been told it's twice the price or poor quality to buy in Crete.
Can i buy it at Gatwick or will they ban me from taking it on the plane?

Sun cream is widely available overseas, including brands that you see in the UK.

You can buy it once you've gone through security - so you can get a full one/two bottles at the Boots at the airport and it'll be fine. Might be slightly more expensive in there :)

Once you have been through security there will be shops on the other side where you can buy more.

Well mainly this is why I don’t only take cabin luggage! We have one checked bag for this sort of thing.
But most places will have some of the same brands of sun cream we have here. It may be more expensive.

Buy it after you go through security, or pay for hold luggage.

We’ve just got back from 2 weeks in Spain and we got through 6 full size bottles! If you’re applying it properly, 2 bottles wouldn’t be enough for a family of 4.

Buy it at Gatwick once you are through security. There is a Boots. They won't stop you taking it on the plane.

However, Gatwick has the new scanners. You can take up to 2 litres in your hand luggage now. You just can't bring it back.

It is more expensive in Greece but you can get the usual brands, Nivea etc

You can buy it at Gatwick. But there’s no need. You can take up to 2-litre containers through. They got rid of the 100ml rule at Gatwick.

You can take the Boots Once stick variety as your carry on but then as others say stock up after security. Don't forget yourself!

Buy it after security. But the liquid limit has been lifted at all the London airports hasn't it? We went through Heathrow multiple times and no liquid check anymore.

You just buy a big bottle at Gatwick after you've gone through security. It's very easy.

Take the solid sticks? If the weight is given in grams, rather than volume in ml, then it’s not a liquid.

Why on earth are you only taking hand luggage on a family holiday?

You can also do a click and collect to the boots after security, which should give you better choice/guarantees you will get the one you are after

It's going to be so incredibly hot they'll be in swimmers in the pool or sea every day lol. A few tshirts and shorts that I can hand wash and dry on balcony in a few hours. Hats. All towels are at hotel.
I will buy all toiletries out there.
What else do we need!
My only worry is needing endless bottles of sunscreen!

You say you will buy toiletries out there what makes you think sunscreen won't be available? Just buy more there or at the airport. If you run out, buy more. You're not going to a third world country.

You can buy sunscreen in every European country I have ever been to.

most major tourist destinations will even stock brands from Germany/France/Spain.

i always buy it there - you need far more than is worth putting in your suitcase.

A very quick Google search will tell you that Gatwick allow liquid containers up to 2 litres

Yes I read this online earlier but even though Gatwick has got rid of the 100mls rule, what about Easyjet themselves?
All the email information I've received from Easyjet since booking last month stipulates a 100ml restriction.....
So are Easyjet rules different to the new Gatwick allowance?
Sorry to sound clueless, but I am. I've never flown before!

The rules around liquids apply to those you take with you from home. If you’ve bought it in the airport then neither the airport themselves or the airline will have an issue with it.

Buy it at the airport once through security, EasyJet will not have an issue with that. Or buy it in Greece, will be widely available everywhere.

I went through Luton the other day and it was 100ml liquid still so drinks had to be tipped out. Only the airports that have special scanners than can detect the difference between a drinking liquid and dangerous chemical have lifted the liquid rule.
