Jabs to lose 1.5 stone?

I’m 5’7 and feel my best when I’m between 10.5-11st. A couple of years ago I had a really bad time with my mental health (ended up sectioned) and lost 3 stone, making me 9st and I looked too thin. I’m much better now and I’ve gained 3st - I’m now 12st 4 and feel disgusting.

is it worth trying a GLP-1 to lost the 1-2 stone? I’m mainly worried about the side effects eg vomiting and stomach pains. What is everyone’s experience? Thank you.

is the jab making it easier to make better choices with your food? since you aren’t having the same cravings?

Im exactly the same as PP, I already had an excellent diet and exercised loads.
I have lost without changing diet much.
Something was clearly wrong with my hormones as on the jab Im much less tired and have more even energy. Probably insulin resistance which on its own causes weight gain.
Not everyone is overweight through things that can be easily helped.

I've got my first wegovy pack coming tomorrow. @torquayturkey I only started the order process on Saturday. Since then I've downloaded the Voy app, been able to ask any questions and had a video call to prove my BMI. It's a seamless process. They are available any time with info and remedies on side effects.

I’ve gone from BMI 25.7 to 22.6 in about 15 weeks on the lowest dose of Wegovy. Absolutely brilliant drug. No real side effects to speak of. My joint pain is significantly better. My skin is brighter. My peri symptoms are reduced. Amazing!

I already ate healthily and exercised consistently. It just enables me to stay in effort of a calorie deficit to actually lose weight.

I don’t really understand the message that these drugs should only be for obese people. Why? I was obese as a teenager and lost a lot of weight through calorie counting. I kept it off. I know the drill when it comes to dieting, nutrition and health. Why can’t I take a prescribed medication to help me even though I wasn’t significantly overweight?

I’m older but over the last 15 years or so, when I’ve wanted to lose up to a stone or so I’ve always been successful with Slimfast, having two shakes a day, plenty of waster, cutting out bread and biscuits, and logging everything I eat and drink on MyFitnessPal. I know it always works for me and it’s my default choice.

It goes back on when I stop Slimfast and re-introduce bread and biscuits, and I’ll put up with being a stone more than my ideal weight until the next family wedding or reason to lose it.
