AIBU to not want a Tesla?

My dh is insistent we get a Tesla. I am insistent we do not due to difference in opinion with Elon. AIBU?

Spanner is a big Musk/Trump/Farage fan.

I should be used to it by now but god the pearl-clutching virtue signalling on display here is incredible. It puts me in mind of Victorian ladies and their smelling salts.

That's absolutely the right approach, however European EV cars, although much better quality, are considerably more expensive than Chinese EVs and the majority of consumers are price driven rather than ethical decisions.

I’ve got a Tesla. Musk is a minor shareholder holder. I also buy stuff off Amazon who don’t pay taxes and have a Dyson - James Dyson fleeced the government during COVID. I could go on but hopefully I’ve made my point.

I buy what I want and will continue to do so. Morals don't come into it. I also buy from Amazon because it's convenient. And I have a Dyson .
