You will win the undying respect and gratitude of the whole nation if you use your votes to kick Farage out and elect Count Binface as your local MP.

And I don't think you will regret it. Underneath the silliness, there is an intelligent man with a genuine commitment to democracy. He might be a joker, but I believe he would serve you well if elected. And definitely better than Farage.

I've seen 6 August mooted. But having looked again, 13 August is also being stated as the likely date.

That's my birthday. It would be a lovely birthday present if Farage failed to get re-elected.

No they are not that’s illegal under electoral law. Its costing the taxpayer.

I wouldn't be surprised if they knew that before they offered to pay.

Frinton - on - sea is nice and more upmarket than Walton or Clacton. There are some lovely houses in parts of these towns. I’m sure that pockets have old money around.
It’ll never be the Riveria or as nice as Devon , but people move out there from the east end and love it by the sea. It has its problems, but doesn’t everywhere!

Yep. Here's something (quite sad) for balance, re. the lovely Dorset, with many of the comments also backing up what was said. Beaches in the Clacton area mentioned are my local beaches, and have been a godsend in this weather. While not 99p the ice cream cornets are also fairly priced. The place is not simply a laughing stock or a punchbag despite how it's being positioned.

Where have I told anyone how to vote? I have merely said that the rest of us will be eternally grateful if they choose to use their votes to kick Farage out. I am perfectly at liberty to express this.

Of course they can vote for whoever they like. It is ridiculous to suggest that anyone is going to suddenly decide to vote for Farage simply because someone on the Internet said they would be grateful if people voted for Binface. You accuse me of patronising people, but i would suggest that you're the one patronising people by suggesting that they are so shallow and unthinking as to be swayed by something so trivial.

Aye ok.

I voted YABU as it’s incredibly patronising to tell people who to vote for @MrsBennetsPoorNervesAreBackunless you are actively canvassing for votes. I’m no NF fan but it’s up to people in the constituency to cast their votes as they see fit. Telling them to do what you tell them is likely to make people more adamant to vote for NF if they’re that way inclined.

Why do you think anybody ever starts or contributes their opinion to any political thread, challenges other posters, or engages in debate if not to influence?
OP has simply used a plea to the voters of Clacton as a device to express her hope they will get rid of Farage.
This kick starts a discussion where both those who agree with her and those who don't get to state their case, presumably in the hope of persuading others to their viewpoint, which is the whole purpose of debate.
I highly doubt her intent was to be taken literally.

Who are you to determine the intellect of a voter base? Do you know every single one of Reform voters? Another thread proving how much Farage winds up so many people. Desperate.

I didn't start the thread to prove how much Farage winds people up - surely that's self evident and doesn't need saying?

I mean, I doubt that there are many people who aren't at least a little bit wound up by corruption on such a grand scale? There are some who are obviously happy to turn a blind eye, but I think most ordinary people would think it was a problem?

I agree. However, when the sneery left are hoping Binface wins, it really does mock the whole outrage at Farage, the other populist.

Farage is corrupt, racist, xenophobic and unbelievably vain to burden the country with another by election (or maybe so corrupt that he desperately needs to create a distraction). He's just a horrible human being..

Count binface wants to keep 99p flakes at 99p and hand dryers to be usable. He isn't a horrible human being.

Never vote for horrible human beings. Why is that so difficult to understand?

NeverLookInTheMirror · 10/07/2026 00:05

I do believe that Binface will at the very least get his deposit back this time 🤣.

Either way Farage is finished as are reform.

Vote Farage in and the parliamentary committee will find him guilty and he’ll be stripped of the MP title and there will be a proper election.

If binface wins then Farage will slither back into oblivion from whence he came.

Either way, he won’t be able to be elected prime minister because he won’t be an MP.

And without Farage there is no reform. It’s worth bearing in mind that Reform isn’t actually a political party, it’s a limited company, so it’s not like a party where you just elect a new leader.

HeartinWinter · 09/07/2026 18:43

The constituency includes Thorpe le Soken which has a spa...

A very nice Spa, but thorpe le soken is tiny compared to Clacton and much less densely populated and that's before you even think about Jaywick

Dilemma999 · 10/07/2026 00:19

I love Frinton - it’s line going back to the 50’s.

NoodleHorses · 10/07/2026 00:21

I see that horrible Kai Stephens has thrown his hat into the ring. Stood for Crome ward, Norwich, back in May. Nasty right wing child. Been arrested and charged for his racist hate speech. I only know who he is as I have a friend in Crome Ward, who didn’t vote for him. He came last in May. I hope he doesn’t get inflicted on Clacton or anywhere else really.

I have faith in the British people. Yes, Reform is polling strongly right now. But even their strongest polling figures suggest that the majority of the British public don't support them.

I don't know anything about this character really. But if he can help to split the far right vote, then that will weaken Farage and improve Binface's chances.

I agree. You just have to look at how Zelenskyy is doing to see the Count has just a good as chance. I think Jon would do a really good job.

This is what I was as thinking too.
The Count for the win.
in the meantime, just enjoy the memes!

GimmieABreakOr3 · 10/07/2026 07:00

You really don't get this, do you?
You reduce everything to left or right. Do you really not get that there are intelligent decent people who may differ in their views as to how best to manage the economy or social issues, hence being left or right leaning, but all agree that corruption, close ties with a money launderer for the drugs trade, abject neglect of their job to further foriegn interests, makes Farage unfit for office?
Thats before we get to zero workable policies and a party stuffed with proven incompetents and criminals (another arrested in Walsall yesterday!)

'The sneering lefties' may have additional problems from an ideological perspective, but if you think the majority of the nation, left and right, would rather have a comedian with a bin on his head because of a difference in political leanings, you have badly misunderstood.

Well that's a point. We are told there's so many Reform bots. The amount of Farage/Reform threads suggests it's not only Reform bots that might be lurking. After all, if it's OK to speculate on Reform bots... Either way, I can't believe the obsession with Farage. Rent free.

Well, exactly. The polling is showing that around 70% of voters aren't Reform supporters. Farage achieved 46% of the vote in Clacton last time. By using either of those measures, it's not a nailed on cert for Reform in the Clacton by election. And the more loony right wingers who add themselves to the ballot, the more potential splitting of that vote there is.

If those 'intelligent' people presented their arguments free of insults and/or derision towards other voters, you might have a point. So yes, they remain sneery lefties. The only balanced views I see on the matter are from those who find the Greens as much of an extremist threat. Funny how it's OK to reduce everything to the 'far' right when discussing immigration and law and order though.

I am not a leftie, nor sneering (in the main! 😬). More a centrist with some right and some left leaning tendencies.

Farage is corrupt and utterly unsuitable for office. Binface would be a great MP for Clacton, and I hope he manages to get this message through to the voters there (particularly the 54% who didn't vote for Farage in the GE).

ouchynose · 10/07/2026 07:41

Oh please vote for Binface, it’s what Farage deserves.

I’m more annoyed that tax payers money is being used for this and the same with the Makerfield by election too. We are constantly told ‘ there’s no money ‘ yet millions are being found for this.

A byelection does not cost millions. But I do agree with the sentiment, especially in this case, it's a waste of money to massage the ego of a snivelling narcissist who is trying to get a free pass for corruption and evade scrutiny.

Are you suggesting that I'm a bot?

If not, what's your point?

As for being obsessed with Farage, no, not really. But deeply concerned for our democracy, well yes. It seems unsurprising to me that the shockingly corrupt behaviour of someone who is frequently touted as a future PM is likely to be a talking point for many people.
