You will win the undying respect and gratitude of the whole nation if you use your votes to kick Farage out and elect Count Binface as your local MP.

And I don't think you will regret it. Underneath the silliness, there is an intelligent man with a genuine commitment to democracy. He might be a joker, but I believe he would serve you well if elected. And definitely better than Farage.

and Jaywick, the most deprived part of the UK.

My DB lives there, and I can confirm that it is an utter shithole.

His stated policies are to build at least one affordable house, cap the price of 99 flakes at 99pence, nationalise Adele, and force water company executives to swim in the rivers they say they’re not polluting.

Im not entirely sure how nationalising Adele works, but I’m willing to hear him out and the other policies all sound good to me.

Anything pro adele is a dreadful policy if it means having g to listen to her warbling

If this heatwave gets even worse cos I’m forced to spend my whole summer not just explaining Count BinFace to Italians, but then having to explain why he’s obliged to remove just the lid in parliament cos he won….. I may actually melt.

Nine attempts to explain it to DH so far today.

So far all I’ve managed to make sense to him is a successful translation of the name.

And I’m not sure it’s helped my case much. He’s still stuck on radical concept of Count Binface not having an ID card at all times.

Il Conte Viso di Bidone?

Many people never engage in politics. I expect they were representative of a lot of people.

Many people don't watch news bulletins much if at all either.

Exactly. Thats how corrupt arseholes like Farage flourish.

They capitalise on lack of knowledge and foment hatred among the disposed. They target lower socio economic groups because they can tell them that there is someone to blame for their woes. The people they exploit haven't got the critical thinking skills to realise its actually the very people telling them to hate others that are manipulating them.

MauveLibrary · 09/07/2026 19:09

I think he seems like a decent sort of chap who will actually try to do his best for Clacton. It will be interesting to see how many vote for him as opposed to Nigek Farage.

RevengeOfTheDirtyLaundry · 09/07/2026 19:11

This from 2019 is one of my favourite election pictures.

Frinton - on - sea is nice and more upmarket than Walton or Clacton. There are some lovely houses in parts of these towns. I’m sure that pockets have old money around.
It’ll never be the Riveria or as nice as Devon , but people move out there from the east end and love it by the sea. It has its problems, but doesn’t everywhere!

the80sweregreat · 09/07/2026 18:51

This bin count sounds quite credible with some of the policies then, shame he doesn’t want to build more affordable housing than just one though.

Isn’t he just being realistic? And one affordable house is one more than Farrago of lies has on offer.

the80sweregreat · 09/07/2026 19:14

I wonder what Adele’s view is of Count bin face ?
She hasn’t made an album in a few years ,
Maybe a collab with the Bin face if he gets in?

I’m more annoyed that tax payers money is being used for this and the same with the Makerfield by election too. We are constantly told ‘ there’s no money ‘ yet millions are being found for this.

Blame Farage then for this completely pointless by election.

I imagine it means all of the money Adele makes once she's nationalised goes into the country's coffers!

the80sweregreat · 09/07/2026 19:19

I do blame Mr Farage for it all. Not sure what his thinking is really. Yet more money down the drains

Il Conte Viso di Bidone?

You can see why it’s going to be a long summer 😅

the80sweregreat · 09/07/2026 19:19

I've seen 6 August mooted. But having looked again, 13 August is also being stated as the likely date.

the80sweregreat · 09/07/2026 19:22

Not long then.
it is crazy.

HideousKinky · 09/07/2026 19:26

One of his policies was banning noisy snacks in theatres.
I think I'd vote for him for that alone

HumberSquid · 09/07/2026 19:26

hay5689 · 09/07/2026 18:35

The people of Clacton should vote for whoever they want not whoever everyone else wants.

This. Its a pity they are so sold on Reform but there you have it. Let them reap what they sow.

Apparently the investigations into his 5 million gets suspended if he stands down as an MP?
(Someone with more knowledge than me clarify if not right, please)
So if so, that'll be why.
He's foul.

the80sweregreat · 09/07/2026 19:28

Banning noisy snacks is a good one.
Maybe he would bring back ‘ keep Britain tidy’ and arrange more dustbins to be around?

HenriettaHippopotamus · 09/07/2026 19:28

The lowest turnout in UK electoral history after the Second World War came in the 2012 Manchester Central by-election which had a turnout of just 18.2%. I wonder if this one could beat it.

If I was there I'd vote Binface but I wonder about the general population. Many I imagine will just ignore it.

Did you send the same message to the people of Makerfield?

Personally, I felt the same about that, as I do with any purely self-indulgent, self-serving by-election.
