Count Binface has a genuine chance against Nigel Farage!

Sounds crazy but…

None of the major parties are competing…

Farage won Clacton with 46% of the vote…

If the 54% united together to vote for Binface, we could have the most preposterous election outcome of all time!

I reckon this could get some genuine momentum… all the other parties would LOVE this result, and even if they didn’t actively campaign for it, would surely quietly be gunning for Binface to win.

I’ve been on strikes and worked to rule.

Me too. Because we have the right to strike and can’t be sacked or arrested for it. Would you still strike if those two things started happening to strikers?

Surely Fox would just split Farage's vote if anything. I csnt see anyine with any sense voting for him. Thats fine by me but what's in it for him?

Attention, but also clicks and content.

I assume that he makes his money from social media platforms.

The NHS is overloaded. If a private company treated me ( still paid for with taxes ) then fine..
Tue private sector has been assisting the NHS for decades. You’ll find your GP works for a partnership if expect.

If Bupa for example can do thing more cost effective than they NHS, is that so bad ?

GPs have never been employed directly by the NHS. When the NHS began not all GPs were in favour of it.

Yes, because you currently have legal rights to strike.

You must be kidding us, you can't really not understand there can be a difference between the past, the present and the future Grin

I can’t strike I work for a government department . So it’s not an option for me. I have strikes in a previous job and nothing was achieved other than I lost pay.

If it makes Farage even less likely to get elected then crack on!

Lawrence Fox. Oh my.

I haven't. I hate them. If Reform put in their policy to get rid of them (which I don't think they have) I'd switch to vote for them over the Tories.

I hope you never take a pay rise they negotiate then

Bookies corner -

5 to 1 - Binface
1 to 9 - Farage

You can? Unless you are the police or the secret service?

So you simultaneously Dont think unions/strikes achieve anything but will rely on them to stop Farage and Reform government doing the things you would vote for him to do, because you don’t actually want them done, you just want to stick two fingers up to Labour and the Tories?
I truly despair.

lightseeker · Yesterday 15:11

Farage triggering this election could well be the thing that sees him off. We can but hope!

Everyone knows this is a cynical, desperate move to delay and distract from the financial investigation against him - trying to make it about 'the people' rather than him. All smoke and mirrors as usual.

Some of the poor sods will still vote for him. But I am also hearing there's a strong sentiment in Clacton that Farage is never there and has done f all for them? But I think this will backfire because if anyone wasn't talking about his £5m gift and his other corruption yesterday, they are now.

Didn't he also avoid paying stamp duty on the house he bought near Clacton by getting his partner to purchase it in her name?

Count Binface winning would be the icing on the cake. Come on Clacton! Do the right thing.

Lets start a slogan - "Bin him off,,,"

The civil service has a union and civil servants have gone on strike in the past.

My DM’s friend and family live in Clacton. They hate Farage. It’s the lowlife who live in Jaywick that voted for him.

When the by election does happen, it will be the second time that Farage has been to the constituency. First time was the general election day.

My brother lives in Jaywick, and yes, he voted for him.

He's gone right off him now though and, if he bothers to sort out photo ID, would vote for Count Binface.

Is a joke MP really what the country needs right now?

No, which is why if I lived in Clacton I’d vote for Count Binface and not Nigel Farage.

Well what else would you expect when you have a permanent population, displaced by bombing in the East End, living in what was only ever supposed to be temporary holiday accommodation?

They're little more than big beach huts which are rapidly getting on for 100 years old.

They only got proper sewerage in the 1970s and they've got the highest flood risk in the country.

It's nothing more than a strongly established favela - it was doomed from the start.

Edited

And because they were built as holiday homes, many of them are of non-standard construction; plus there's some sort of covenant or restriction that they can't be rebuilt if they get burn down, washed away in floods or blown away in a hurricane. And they're not mortgageable.

My brother was warned about all this when he bought his, but went ahead regardless.

If the other choice is a racist grifter, which it is, then yes!

But lest be honest Farage will still win a two way race.
If they really wanted to hurt Farage Bin Face would stand down so Farage has no one to fight against ?

Surely that would be more beneficial to Farages critics?

Nope. I'm looking forward to this election very much. If Im going to be paying for a useless By-election, I want it to be entertaining.😁

Perhaps Count Binface could actually do a better job of drawing attention to problems in Jaywick than Farage?

Apparently a picture of Jaywick was used in a Republican attack ad in the US https://www.buzzfeed.com/patricksmith/jayhawk-essex-illinois-nick-stella although I think they were just using a stock image rather than make a specific point about Essex.

A Picture Of This Essex Seaside Town Was Used By A Republican Politician As An Example Of Poverty And People Are Angry

Jaywick Sands in Essex, UK, was used as the backdrop for an attack ad from a candidate running for Congress in Illinois. And they weren't happy about it.

Your answers contradict each other so I'm finding it hard to follow what you're talking about.

You said everyone would strike regardless of whether it was legal, you said you yourself have been on strike, now you say you can't strike even though worker in the government can strike.

What you haven't said is whether you support Reform's plans to reduce workers' rights.

noblegiraffe · Yesterday 16:04

I just watched Farage's re-election campaign video where he has scrabbled together some shots of the extremely few times he has actually been in Clacton.

It ends with his signature. Am I too much of a secondary school teacher who is sick of graffiti, or does his signature look like a nob?

I've had 4 operations in the last 25 years or so. Every single one has been done in a private hospital, but on the NHS.
