To ask about totally inappropriate behaviour at wedding?

Notallthatx · 06/07/2026 12:50

Was at a seemingly lovely wedding at the weekend. Beautiful setting and lovely ceremony.

One of my friends was chief bridesmaid and she had put so much effort into making the day perfect for the happy couple. But she started to drink a lot after the ceremony and by the end of dinner she was very tipsy and all over the singer from the wedding band. They had been playing some acoustic songs throughout the day and she kept making requests. It was obvious she fancied him.

Later on, one of the other guys from the band was lovely and asked if I had seen their singer because they were setting up for their evening set. I mentioned that my friend was also missing so went to look for them together. We joked that maybe they had eloped or something.

But nothing prepared me for what I was about to witness. Behind the outdoor toilets, my friend was down on her knees giving the singer from the band oral. I was mortified and the other guy from the band told me his friend had done this a few times. We are not even sure if they seen us and I’ve been too embarrassed to bring it up with my friend.

On the up side, the other guy from the band was really sweet and we danced a bit later that night and swapped numbers.

What is the craziest thing you’ve ever witnessed at a wedding?

It wasn’t on the dance floor. They were behind the toilets out of sight from ‘the public’.

You were actively looking for her, like a worried parent searching a toddler.

She may have had a nice room, but she didn’t want to go there. She wanted to give the singer a quick BJ in a field and she did.

I bet she’s back at work with a spring in her step today and I’ll bet he’ll be at another wedding next weekend hoping for more of the same. They’re young and single. Fair play to them.

Absolutely. I mean, no one got hurt. No horses were frightened in the street. The groom’s granny did not keel over in shock and get blue lighted to hospital.

This wasn’t the apocalypse. Most people, had they felt compelled to go search for a friend it was fairly clear was going to be found having sex, would give a second glance to check she wasn’t so drunk she couldn’t consent, and bugger off, mildly amused.

Happy couple posing for photos in the leafy arbour outside. Bride's father passes carrying someone's luggage from their car, and jokingly gives them the middle finger as he goes. Amusement all round. The photographer kept it in!

Sounds like something my own DF would have done, then sulked when called out for it.

Because I didn’t hook up with a guy. We chatted, danced and now will go on a date. Nothing like the bridesmaid.

Ah this is the truth now... you are judging her, you think you're better than her cos she got drunk and got with the band singer, but you are doing it the 'proper' way. You don't sound like a very nice friend. You're judgy as hell. Hope she had a good time

thefourthbeatle · 06/07/2026 17:01

They should be arrested.

Zippedydoobaah · 06/07/2026 17:01

A colleague of mine is from a very conservative family and her brother coming out as gay was very difficult for the parents and whole family. They accepted him and his partner over time (they lived together) but no one really out loud acknowledged they were a couple, even though they attended family events together. Friends grandparents didn't know, thought they were friends. My friend's wedding was the height of tradition, her father had requested she wore a veil (he paid for everything), it was very high brow and elegant, set in a beautiful castle. Day went beautifully. At the evening do, the bride and her father were called forward for the first dance and about three seconds into it her brother and his partner got onto the dancefloor and started dancing and snogging the face off each other.

Perhaps you’ve done the exact same thing. Each to their own I guess.

Behind the outdoor toilets? Classy I don't think.

I agree, its not classy but at least it was in private. Weddings do bring out extreme behaviours in people at times such as fights or drunken antics. But none of those are the case here.

So what if I am. You’re now judging me.

I don’t think I’m better at all than her. She has her ways but I’ll stick to mine thanks.

Pretty much yeah. Never at a wedding though.

BillieWiper · 06/07/2026 17:12

What difference does it make to you?
She was single. I don't believe she did it to him in public anyway but it didn't ruin the wedding.
It's the singer who should've refused her advances anyway.

Anyone else humming “sitting in the dock of the bay?”

Ahhh - now I have "sitting on a cock in the bay" going through my head!!!

TheBlueKoala · 06/07/2026 15:09

@Notallthatx I might be an outlier but if the friend was single I would have thought this hilarious. Well, no actually considering a blow job is more prostitute action since she doesn't get anything from it. But I would have laughed if I had found them shagging. I'm such a prude so I live through other people's wild acts .

A blow job is prostitute action? It's a perfectly normal part of foreplay, or do you think that lying there and thinking of England is as kinky as it should get?

When I read threads like this it truly amazes me that there are absolutely no boundaries for people now.

I know that drunk people having sex in toilets is nothing new. What is new is people thinking this is normal and acceptable behaviour.
To me it's just plain sordid.

And please spare me the odious " pearl clutching" comments. I unashamedly would be disgusted at people behaving like rutting animals at a wedding celebration.

Totally agree, surprised how many people on here think it’s fine and to be expected when the general consensus is usually that children should be at weddings. That’d be nice wouldn’t it, for children running around outside to witness. It seems anything goes these days.

Cool story. I love that for you.

It certainly reads like something made up.

However... my best friend, when she was 20, did actually shag one of the undertakers at her grandfather's funeral. In a broom cupboard, while everyone else was in the living room tucking into their egg and cress sandwiches and cups of tea.

It sounds absolutely outrageous and unbelievable now, but at the time (we are both 60 now) it was exactly the sort of thing I knew she'd do and I didn't doubt her story for a second. 😂

parthyphibday · 06/07/2026 14:54

I can't believe you went behind the toilets looking for them!!! They were obviously going to be snogging or shagging somewhere!!

I was once head bridesmaid, and offered my hotel room up for the after party. As soon as I got back I immediately fell asleep in the bed, but the party and the drama) unfolded.

Apparently a group of revellers came back to see guest F giving guest M a BJ in the bed that I was also sound asleep snoring in, Unfortunately guest F's boyfriend was in the group, and he happened to be guest M's best friend an business partner.

Cue a blazing row and a punch up all in the room with me snoring, oblivious on the bed.

I woke up in the best with guest F in the morning, who insisted in buying me breakfast! Me completely unaware of what had happened the night before.

I kind of miss the late twenties hi-jinx!

Sniggered at you also being
“head bridesmaid..” - that’s what this whole thread is about, hahaha.

Sorry - very juvenile of me 😆

Floralibra · 06/07/2026 17:21

ruolocretaw · 06/07/2026 14:47

Yes, it's gross. He wasn't off duty. He was supposed to be getting ready to perform—in a different way. And behind the toilet wasn't exactly private! Anyone could have overheard them or even wandered past and gotten an unwelcome eyeful. It's nasty.

Exactly this!! Also imagine if children were in attendance to the wedding - it’s just disgusting behaviour

but OP has met a nice man in the other band member so I guess every cloud?

Mumtobabyhavoc · 06/07/2026 17:21

"To ask about totally inappropriate behaviour at wedding?"

"What is the craziest thing you’ve ever witnessed at a wedding?"

Not sure what OP wants from her post.
Title indicates she wants opinions if the behaviour was appropriate or not, but then ends asking for people to post crazy stories.
She has judged some replies. What's the point here?

MrDobbs · 06/07/2026 17:22

Totally out of order. The instrumentalists will be busy setting up their own gear and the lead singer needs to be there for sound checks, getting the vocal mix right etc. Plenty of time for outdoor toilet blow jobs once the work is done.

Hahahahaha. I rarely laugh enough to need to quote someone, but this one got me! Gold star to you.

Weeellokthen · 06/07/2026 17:31

I must live in a different world if many of you think it's not absolutely mingerish behaviour to suck a strangers cock at the back of a toilet block 😂
Years ago a group of us went to strip show and before the show even started my ds' sil came out the changing room, with a huge grin and wiping her mouth, proudly announcing that she had sucked this random strippers cock.
I've never looked at her the same since 🤑

My son and I witnessed a couple fornicating in a large pick up truck in the train station car park near us...the man had the cheek to confront my son for filming!

Seems to be so many women here who view this like it’s just a quick snog.

I think it’s important not to judge people. Sure it would have been better if she hadn’t been caught but hey. It’s not the worse thing in the world! Have you never been in a situation that you really didnt want to wait?

TungTungTungSahor · 06/07/2026 17:44

It’s not a proper wedding party unless someone gets drunk and blows someone inappropriate.
