To ask about totally inappropriate behaviour at wedding?

Was at a seemingly lovely wedding at the weekend. Beautiful setting and lovely ceremony.

One of my friends was chief bridesmaid and she had put so much effort into making the day perfect for the happy couple. But she started to drink a lot after the ceremony and by the end of dinner she was very tipsy and all over the singer from the wedding band. They had been playing some acoustic songs throughout the day and she kept making requests. It was obvious she fancied him.

Later on, one of the other guys from the band was lovely and asked if I had seen their singer because they were setting up for their evening set. I mentioned that my friend was also missing so went to look for them together. We joked that maybe they had eloped or something.

But nothing prepared me for what I was about to witness. Behind the outdoor toilets, my friend was down on her knees giving the singer from the band oral. I was mortified and the other guy from the band told me his friend had done this a few times. We are not even sure if they seen us and I’ve been too embarrassed to bring it up with my friend.

On the up side, the other guy from the band was really sweet and we danced a bit later that night and swapped numbers.

What is the craziest thing you’ve ever witnessed at a wedding?

I can see the point in a BJ if it's going to be reciprocated or at the very least if sex is going to be involved, but I just can't see what's in it for a woman to do this to a random stranger - what does she get out of it?

That said, I think it's really bad behaviour on her part, OP. It sounds as though drinking leads to her making bad decisions.

CanineJesus · 06/07/2026 20:12

This happened at my wedding.
I used to be very good friends with a girl at secondary school. After school, she went off the rails a bit, did some bad things to me and others, and we lost touch. Just before my wedding, we reconnected and I (stupidly) invited her.
She got extremely drunk, slept with a friend who was also our musician, and made him miss his taxi to the airport (he had to leave in the night to fly somewhere). She was embarrassing herself, being loud and obnoxious.
All of that I could have forgiven. But the last straw was that she was rude to my pregnant sister. I was not tolerating that.
That was the last time I saw her, and that was 17 years ago. It actually taught me to let go of toxic people, so it was a good lesson learnt in the end!

@CanineJesus she didn’t make him do anything
it was his job and he fucked up.

My sister came on to my husband at her own wedding

Well, she kind of did. By literally locking the room they were in and refusing to give him the key. Doesn't matter anyway, the things she said to my sister - I would never be able to get over. It was liberating letting her go...

You probably should’ve took your chance when you had it tbh. Being in a band he probably accepts many phone numbers and then that’s the end of it.

Well we have been texting quite a bit so we will see.

Let me get this straight @Katemax82

Your son was filming a couple having sex with you by his side? wtf

Not entirely..they were parked next to a yeep locker and I had to collect my parcel. As I parked near them I noticed they were clothed but the woman was on the man's lap so it was kind of obvious...I said "really!!" As I got out the car. I got my parcel and the man got out of his car and went over and started asking my son why he was filming (my son waited in the car)
I was worried he would get violent so without asking my son if he had I shouted he wasn't filming now fuck off!! Then drove away before the guy could get nadty. My son is 20, 6ft 4 but has never been in a fight or anything so I wasn't going to let that happen. Turns out he took a photo and only caught the man's angry face as he realised he was being pictured

Notallthatx · 06/07/2026 16:44

Because I didn’t hook up with a guy. We chatted, danced and now will go on a date. Nothing like the bridesmaid.

We get it. You're a lady and she's a right slag.

Get over yourself, OP.

All I get from this is in your first post you say your son was filming

and now…. Nope a photo (which is also incredibly weird)

Edited

The man had a go at my son because he thought he was filming, I should have just put the whole story. My point was people do fornicate in public and it's not on

There were people shagging at our wedding. Tbh I was having an absolute blast and was plastered so I didn’t care. I was 18 when I got married, almost 19 and tbh it was more like a party than a proper reception. If it was a more serious affair I would definitely have cared but we kind of did the church bit and then it definitely degenerated a bit… the whole thing was classless I can’t lie 😭. Chavtastic is an appropriate word to describe it.

Can we have some examples please?

If that’s how you wish to view it but I certainly don’t view my friend as a slag. But I do feel her behaviour was highly inappropriate at a family wedding with children around.

So you thought you’d throw her out to mumsnet practically imploring posters to bitch about her (kind of backfired!)? Nice

SnipSnipMrBurgess · 06/07/2026 21:01

See OP you wanted to rip the band members clothes off but restrained yourself.

Your friend didn't.

The only difference between you is that you will be giving your band guy a blow job slightly later than she did hers.

She did. She cheated multiple times after the wedding (not with my husband) and he forgave her 🙄

StayGoldenPonyGirl · 06/07/2026 19:25

Mate, you don't need a mattress, just get on your knees behind the bogs in a field!

@Notallthatx Did he get to finish and what was the set like? I'm not sure if he would have given a better, ahem, performance still full of 'verve' or whether a more relaxed demeanor would have helped his set?

😂
