Harry Styles wembley visit hotel headache

Newnamechchchchange · 25/06/2026 23:39

Hotel for Harry Styles trip has cancelled our booking (due to building works allegedly)

Where can we stay at this point that's not mega money? Any places less touristy but on a tube line?

Hotels close-ish to tube stn only pls as travelling just myself & 2 teen DD. Don't want to be walking thru London late at night anywhere iffy.

Travelling down from NW if there's any other ideas for how to manage this trip now.

Ta

Euston family rooms are sold out on our night :-(

@Newnamechchchchange

OP, snap up the family room at the Aldgate East Travelodge, as I suggested.

It has a large double and a single bed.

Any room at the St Pancras one? It’s just down the road

What is the budget? Sorry if I missed that in one of your posts.

3luckystars · 27/06/2026 14:03

I was there in Wednesday and it was very safe and a really good feeling around Wembley. I stayed in a hotel nearby and glad I did as the heat was unreal.

You can get a triple room, or double and single bed, you don’t need a family room. Surely your daughters can share a big bed.

TheSquareMile · 27/06/2026 14:07

@Newnamechchchchange

Just to add that the Aldgate one is very near to the first station on the Metropolitan and City Line which goes to Wembley, OP.

You would be certain to have a seat.

Thanks for this, I'd not had this chain on my radar doing family rooms.

Unfortunately for me they are more expensive for the room nxt Fri!

I've found 3 options:

TL Aldgate £200
PI Uxbridge Town Centre one (wasn't available previously but now suddenly is) £145
Best Western Swiss Cottage £245

Need to price each up now with tube costs for the zones involved for 2 days (would need 2 adults & 1 child as oldest teen is 16 but looks older so no chance of passing as a child). Uxbridge in zone 6, I think for 2 days of us travelling zones 1-6 is £80?!

At least we have options now with a bed!

Thank you for all the suggestions, you've been truly AMAZING helping me focus & keeping panic mode under wraps.

Aldgate/the City has direct buses to Euston/KC at £1.75pp (or £5.50 for a daily cap) if that’s all you were doing the following day. It’s also quite well placed to take in Spitalfields market/leadenhall market and a few other sites within walking distance.

You would then just have one day of reaching the tube cap the day prior.

Euston don’t have any family rooms with three beds.

have you decided your options yet. I’d personally go for Uxbridge town centre. I did have Aldgate booked for Bruno Mars but changed to Uxbridge.

We stayed at the Premier Inn Haverstock Hill (Hampstead/ Belsize Prk) - an easy walk to Finchley Road tube (one stop to Wembley). It was great.

There’s a Holiday Inn on Finchley Road.

You can always go out as far as Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted, Watford St Albans (although not on the same line as Wembley) which all usually have late running trains. Certainly a lot safer than Euston overnight if that is actually possible.

I was looking at this thread yesterday and almost came on to suggest Hemel Hempstead. The Premier Inn Central has a family room on your date (3rd July? Are you just coming up that day, going to the concert and then going back the following day - so a 1-night stay?)@Newnamechchchchange. You can get to Wembley Central with an easy change at Watford Junction, or if you’re really determined to go by tube, just get a Travelcard for the day. Hemel to Euston's c. 25 min by train, covers tube as well, then go to Wembley by underground. Honestly, it would be so easy.

There are other chain hotel options around Hemel too. You might need to get a taxi to/from the station but that’s not a problem.
Originally from the NW myself but a transplant here for many years and can reassure you it'll be fine!

This one has availability.

Would the walk between tube & hotel be safe late at night? Never heard of the area.

Yes, nice area. It will be very quiet at that time but you should be able to get a cab from the station.

mylifeisexams · 28/06/2026 11:07

I would avoid Amersham - not enough trains late at night

OnTheBoardwalk · 28/06/2026 11:53

@Newnamechchchchange as others have said, grab the one at Aldgate before it goes or they ramp the price up with us all clicking on it

Sober23 · 28/06/2026 19:02

I was going to get the 483 back to Holiday Inn Ealing Broadway after a Harry gig but where will I get it from if its on diversion? Londoners please help 🙏 @CheeryEeyore

If you are OK with buses then the Premier Inn Hanger Lane is worth looking at. If you are coming down by car it has parking, but it's also very close to Park Royal and Hanger Lane tube stations. For the concert itself you can get the 483 bus from Wembley in the direction of Ealing which stops about 2 mins (if that) walk from the hotel. The service is pretty reliable. It's not the most glamorous area but I've sometimes taken that bus in the late evening and never felt unsafe.

As it's an event day the 483 will probably be on diversion so not stopping at the stadium itself but you can walk up to Wembley Central Station and catch it there.

@CheeryEeyore can you help?

@CheeryEeyore can you help?

@Sober23 the info that TheSquareMile posted is right in that that's where the 483 stops when it is on diversion but it wouldn't be my choice unless you're pretty fit. Dagmar Avenue is a quiet residential street but it is also very steep. It goes up one side of a big hill and down the other. And you will have to find the bus stop in the dark once you have got to the other side.

If it was me, I would either walk to Wembley Central station - well lit, lots of other concert goers going in the same direction - and get the 483 from there. Or catch the 18 towards Sudbury from Cecil Avenue to Wembley Central (2 stops). The 18 and 483 bus stops are almost next to each other at Wembley Central.

hashbrowneggyolk · 28/06/2026 22:00

If you download the CityMapper app you can check which hotels are easy access via public transport, it shows how many tube stops it would be and how much walking etc

Newnamechchchchange · 25/06/2026 23:55

Where else does family rooms apart from travelodge, premier inn, holiday inn?

Does Euston train stn ever close if we just made our way there after the concert & camped in main stn until the first train back to NW?

You will be turfed out of Euston Station. There is a Premier Inn nearby.

Folkwhore · 28/06/2026 22:27

Would you be up for a drive? We went on Friday and stayed in Hitchin. Did Park on my Drive on Wembley Park Drive (£44), straight back to car after the gig and then back up to Hitchin - we got back just after midnight. Hitchin PI not available next Friday but Stevenage is (10 mins away) and its £75 for family room.

RandomMess · 28/06/2026 22:59

Premier Inn Hampstead Heath? Belsize Park tube station.

Newnamechchchchange · 06/07/2026 23:10

Just to say thanks for all the helpful suggestions & ideas.

We stayed at uxbridge town centre in the end & it worked great location-wise.

Brilliant night at Harry Styles too, still in a bubble :-)
