Harry Styles wembley visit hotel headache

Newnamechchchchange · 25/06/2026 23:39

Hotel for Harry Styles trip has cancelled our booking (due to building works allegedly)

Where can we stay at this point that's not mega money? Any places less touristy but on a tube line?

Hotels close-ish to tube stn only pls as travelling just myself & 2 teen DD. Don't want to be walking thru London late at night anywhere iffy.

Travelling down from NW if there's any other ideas for how to manage this trip now.

Ta

Remember to always travel with a couple of rubber wedges to put under the door.
For added peace of mind.

Why didn't you feel safe? I don't know Harrow.
Where did you book in the end? Have you seen HS yet?

I dont know harrow tbh...im from devon. I wanted to book somewhere close to the jubilee line as that runs til midnight..everyone will be swamping the tubes I guessed and i didnt want to be walking around with my daughter in unknown territory. Im taking her to the weeknd in August..I managed to book the premier inn buts cost £400!! I had to bite the bullet. But it was really stressful. I hope you find something hun

Try Best Western Swiss Cottage - we had a family room there couple of weeks ago and it was £121 for the night and about 2 mins walk in a lovely area from the tube. It was a little dated but perfectly pleasant

Thanks for this, I'd not had this chain on my radar doing family rooms.

Unfortunately for me they are more expensive for the room nxt Fri!

I've found 3 options:

TL Aldgate £200
PI Uxbridge Town Centre one (wasn't available previously but now suddenly is) £145
Best Western Swiss Cottage £245

Need to price each up now with tube costs for the zones involved for 2 days (would need 2 adults & 1 child as oldest teen is 16 but looks older so no chance of passing as a child). Uxbridge in zone 6, I think for 2 days of us travelling zones 1-6 is £80?!

At least we have options now with a bed!

Thank you for all the suggestions, you've been truly AMAZING helping me focus & keeping panic mode under wraps.

For Coldplay last year it was really tricky to find a hotel at a reasonable price. In the end we stayed at Hampton by Hilton in Park Royal, which was right next to the tube station. You can get a bus or you can get the tube from Wembley Park, change at Rayners Lane and then the tube to Park Royal. We actually got an Uber but it was a bit of a trek to get to where the uber drivers like to collect from so I’d probably go for the tube if I did it again.

We had a family room and it worked really well for us. Lots of other concert goers stayed there too.

TypicalBlue · 27/06/2026 07:49

I should also say they currently have family rooms available but it says limited availability (Hampton by Hilton, Park Royal)

Haven't RTFT so this might already have been suggested, but have you tried the Travelodge at Marylebone? It's right next to the station which has direct trains to Wembley Stadium.

Fully booked the night we go but thanks for suggesting

You can always go out as far as Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted, Watford St Albans (although not on the same line as Wembley) which all usually have late running trains. Certainly a lot safer than Euston overnight if that is actually possible.

Look at all the stops on the Metropolitan line in both directions and find a hotel near any of them.

They are putting on extra trains from Wembley Park because of the heat. The queue moves really quickly and Met line is speedy.

DO NOT go and hang around at Euston.

The queue after the concert from the stadium to the tube took an hour last Friday. They were only letting a certain number of people into the station at a time.

Which was annoying as we were booked into the Premier inn just around the corner which should have been a 5 minute walk! And they close the side streets so everyone is funneled down wembley way. So factor that into any plans that involve trains.

alexdgr8 · 27/06/2026 08:13

Hello OP.
Hotel Unique next to Golders green tube is showing a family room at 146pounds.
Bus 83 goes from there to Wembley park.
Also night bus.
And Euston is short hop on tube.
Sorry can't do link.

purpleclaire · 27/06/2026 08:13

Book the Uxbridge one - so easy to get into London from there. Good price too.

Go for Aldgate, OP.

If you have time on the day after the concert, you can walk down to Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. Just walking to the middle of the bridge and looking up and down the river is a sight to behold.

If you have more time before catching your train, you can pick up the hop on hop off bus and see the sights.

TheSquareMile · 27/06/2026 10:32

@Newnamechchchchange

OP, re the cost of your travelling in London, I'm just trying to cost that up. It shouldn't be as much as £80.

How old are your children?

Dery · 27/06/2026 10:35

Aldgate is a great option. Also, if possible, i would suggest travelling via Wembley Central tube to and from the concert rather than via Wembley Park. It’s a bit further away but less rammed. Still queues but shorter IME. (We go to Wembley quite often for football games; that said, we live in Hammersmith so are already travelling from within London).

I thought it was zone 1-6 price cap 16.30 for adult (over 16) x2, child under 16 half price, per day?

That's only if you do enough journeys to hit the cap. To and from the venue won't hit that.

Amersham is extremely expensive and definitely not old Amersham! (Lived in Chesham next to it for most of my life). Beautiful Chiltern hills etc but the King's Head hotel n old Amersham is v expensive (and where I had a few drinks after my wedding reception).

I'm racking my brains now for cheap accommodation nearby - yes to Rickmansworth, possibly Uxbridge but probably not Watford, as it was rough at night if I correctly recall my teenage nightclub adventures 20 odd years ago 🤔🤣

My dd lives in Watford and is not worried about going home from Wembley. She is going tonight and Monday, but is leaving during the encore to avoid the big rush at the end.

We also need to get to / from hotel to central London. 3 trips, one during peak I think from hotel to Wembley. So I think maybe around £14 per adult & £7 child per day. I could be wrong. I find the info so confusing when I'm trying to get my head around so many diff factors of the trip!

@Newnamechchchchange

I would suggest buying a day travel card for each of you when you arrive at Euston. You can get a child rate one for your younger child.

I assume that you are arriving on Friday during the day and going to Wembley that evening.

If you did opt for Aldgate, that would be zone 1. Wembley is zone 4, so your cards need to be 1-4.

The following morning, you have the option of just getting a single fare back to Euston if you don't have time to stay.

Prem Inn wembley sold out.

Travelodge wembley is available but £330!

Not many hotels do rooms for 3 ppl either so really feel limited.

If you’re going to pay £200 for a hotel then extra on travel, I would honestly rather shell out that cost to be able to leave Wembley and walk to my hotel.

If you can afford it it would be worth it.

hashbrowneggyolk · 27/06/2026 11:48

We stayed at Premier Inn Euston for Harry recently, dead easy. Perfectly next to the station for the next day and meant easy access for the tube for access to and from the gig. The metropolitan line goes straight from King’s Cross to Wembley and is dead easy

deewillow · 27/06/2026 12:00

We stayed at the Travelodge in Stratford. End of the Jubilee line, direct tube to Wembley. Saw HS on Friday 19th, stayed till the end and was on a tube within about 20 mins and back in hotel room before midnight. 5 mins walk from Stratford tube, plenty of people about at that time of night in the area. And you have a choice of 2 Travellodges. Right near Westfield shopping centre for breakfast the next day.
