Newnamechchchchange · 25/06/2026 23:39

Hotel for Harry Styles trip has cancelled our booking (due to building works allegedly)

Where can we stay at this point that's not mega money? Any places less touristy but on a tube line?

Hotels close-ish to tube stn only pls as travelling just myself & 2 teen DD. Don't want to be walking thru London late at night anywhere iffy.

Travelling down from NW if there's any other ideas for how to manage this trip now.

I’d go back to Euston and look for hotels round there. There’s a premier inn near the station and a youth hostel (Kings X side) . It’ll be packed on the tube but you’ll be close for the train in the morning. Central London is safe at night - prob safer (busier) than the outer suburbs.

WildClover · 26/06/2026 06:51

Have you looked for an air bnb? Watford is a good shout.

imtootiredforthis · 26/06/2026 06:53

For Wembley I always stay in Southwark - it’s direct on the jubilee line.

I’ve done Uxbridge or Watford Premier Inn before after a Wembley gig. Both were busy trains back, and I got a cab from the station. I was solo and didn’t feel threatened at all. Otherwise, most central London options will be busy around public transport stops.

It really depends when you’re going. This Saturday there are four or five massive gigs on so hotels are absolutely jam packed in town. We’re going to Take That and Harry added after that and after BST so hotels were already tricky. If you’re going on a Wednesday evening it might be easier. Anything close by will be long sold out. We did get a room the night before Taylor but it was four figures and a long, long story.

Take That will absolutely blow your mind! Best concert we’ve ever been to.

SideboobToYouToo · 26/06/2026 07:07

Try St Christophers London Bridge, it's a hostel but they have rooms too, on the Jubilee Line from Wembley Park.
It's where I always stay.

I'm going on Saturday, and Harry and BST.
I'm so excited.

AbzMoz · 26/06/2026 07:08

Given you were considering camping out at Euston (!! Absolutely do not do that!) I’m not quite understanding why you wouldn’t squeeze into a double room at any of the hotels suggested close to the venue?

Exiting the concert will be busy but usually flows efficiently. I’d opt for any Travelodge or premier inn type place on the direct tube lines out of the station - so metropolitan or jubilee. Staying on a few more stops gets you to Canary Wharf, Stratford, the City/Aldgate where there are MANY options and it’s well-lit, busy etc, and aren’t more of a schlep the following morning up to Euston.

Amersham is worth a look as well - at the end of the Met Line.

Amersham is extremely expensive and definitely not old Amersham! (Lived in Chesham next to it for most of my life). Beautiful Chiltern hills etc but the King's Head hotel n old Amersham is v expensive (and where I had a few drinks after my wedding reception).

I'm racking my brains now for cheap accommodation nearby - yes to Rickmansworth, possibly Uxbridge but probably not Watford, as it was rough at night if I correctly recall my teenage nightclub adventures 20 odd years ago 🤔🤣

I stayed here last time I went to Wembley.
It was fairly basic but clean and pleasant enough. It's literally just round the corner.

Just book a double room and squish in together or bring an air bed. Premier inns are self check in these days and nobody cares anyway.

Ah Watford has changed a lot since then. I wouldn't say 'gentrified' but all the night life has closed down and new build flats everywhere. It's still a bit ropey in parts but much less than Wembley.

Rickmansworth you'll be fine walking back late at night - much smaller town than Watford, if that's what you'd prefer.

Euston closes at like 1.30am now, after the last train. It was very different before covid - after about 11, it's pretty skeleton service now.

No family rooms left here at the central uxbridge prem inn on the night we go

Only rooms at the one further out, Google says itson an industrial estate type place, don't fancy walking that v late sadly

How old are your DC, could you book
two regular rooms?

twilightcafe · 26/06/2026 07:27

You could get a cab/Uber from Uxbridge station to the hotel.

Fairydusthello · 26/06/2026 07:35

Maybe get a cab or uber to the Uxbridge Industrial Estate PI. It's not far at all from the station in a cab 5 mins max, I wouldn't do the walk late at night in the dark.

We stayed at the Premier Inn Harrow. 10 mins to Northwick Park Station and in the opposite direction to most people after the concert.
3 stops to Wembley. Ample parking and so easy if coming in down the A1.
Also....air conditioned rooms.
Hope they have availability. Have a fantastic time, he's wonderful

JollyHostess101 · 26/06/2026 07:40

Travelodge Northolt!

15 mins walk to Northolt park station and train straight into Wembley!

macaroonmayhem · 26/06/2026 07:40

We’re in the Premier Inn in Old Street. Literally next to Old St tube and two stops from Kings X for our train to and from home (so 3 stops from Euston I think?)

upsofloating · 26/06/2026 07:49

Newnamechchchchange · 26/06/2026 06:38

This one has availability.

Would the walk between tube & hotel be safe late at night? Never heard of the area.

You'll be fine. Go for it.

Kim5678 · 26/06/2026 07:54

I once got the last train into a dodgy station that was closing. I was quite young and was advised by the conductor to hang out at Gatwick until the first train at 5ish as it’s open 24/7 and has shops and toilets. I definitely wouldn’t be hanging around London stations with kids in the small hours. The big airports are out of your way if you’re travelling back north but it’s a last resort if you’re open to “camping out” and really don’t have other options

easterb · 26/06/2026 07:57

Travelodge in Euston has family rooms for £165 and it’s right next to the station. Will make the morning after much nicer as you can get straight on the train. https://www.travelodge.co.uk/hotels/344/London-Central-Euston-hotel

I got a great apartment just off the Wembley way through Airbnb. Was a tad noisy as there was a football final the next day but amazing location. If not head towards Uxbridge or if a Saturday night look at premierinn in The City

We went last Friday and got a national express coach, they are running from various places across the country straight to Wembley and return. Might be worth a check?

Check companies local to you too, I used a local Loch Lomond coach company to come down for the first night.

Ginmonkeyagain · 26/06/2026 08:33

I am the first to defend London against people who think itnis a dsngerous place, but absolutely DO NOT camp out at Euston station over night. It is a nasty station any way and there are some fairly unpleasant characters who hang around the open air bit between the train and bus station. You will also be moved on by station staff and police.

Look for hotels at locations all along the Jubilee line as it is quick and frequent. There are a number of chain hotels around Waterloo which may have rooms.

BirdLandedonmyHead · 26/06/2026 08:37

We stayed at the Wembley International hotel for a gig recently. Im guessing thats sold out? Its not tje most modern of hotels, but definitely better than a train station.
