To ask why there are no riots?

Where are the rioters today? If the roles were reversed and a man of colour was going out and terrorising white people it would be the number one story on the BBC and Herr Farage would be calling for action on the streets. Right now it's the sixth story on the BBC.

Similarly, with the atrocious and heartbreaking case of the baby who was abused and murdered. If the perpetrators hadn't been white there would have been bedlam on the streets by 'degenerate thugs concerned citizens'. The issue is clearly men, but rabid racists, the media and the malign agitators who whip them up into a frenzy never seem to be outraged when it's one of their own.

Man charged after suspected anti-Muslim attacks in Edinburgh

Two people were injured close to a mosque and a man was later seen battering the door of a pizzeria as members of the public run away.

The rioters are in the States trying to get tickets to a match or two.

Oh please! No one's granting those criminals ESTAs.

It is a relief there are no riots and it is very obvious why. For me it's the double standards in the media and government that upsets me the most. A guy with a knife roaming around Edinburgh trying to stab Muslim people. Starting his violent campaign outside a mosque. Where is the government outcry in how they are going to protect the Muslim community against abuse? Promises of increase in police security to protect the community? Where's the media outcry on this anti Muslim hate? Nothing but tumble weed. Their silence makes their message loud and clear

Edited

I only know of this incident because I saw statements from the Prime Minister and the Home Secretary, in which they both said that anti-Muslim hatred was unacceptable. Frankly, I'm amazed Kier Starmer was so unequivocal so quickly, I wouldn't have thought they'd have that much confirmed info to make such a firm statement.

I am horrified by news of the attack in Edinburgh. I am grateful to the police and emergency services for their bravery in apprehending the suspect and for their speedy response in attending to the victims. The suspect appears to be motivated by an...

It’s the middle class wealthier Scots that are in the States (hence the good behaviour). The jakies are all still here.

I'm dim?

If she said "Mr Farage is a nazi" then the bit of the sentence that suggests he's a nazi is "is a nazi".

But she didn't say that, she used "Herr Farage" as a shorthand for "Mr Farage is a nazi" which suggests she believes that anyone with the honorific "Herr" is a Nazi.

Yeah @VimesandhisCardboardBoots isn’t the dim one here.

ilovebrie8 · 21/06/2026 12:44

Where is the outrage for the 250,000 girls raped and abused in the most horrific way?

No mention in mainstream media !

The sheer numbers beggars belief.

Not a word from Starmer nothing or Humza Yousef who is quick to play the victim.
Both of them have not even acknowledged the rape gangs but were on this in lightning speed.

I didn’t even mention Humza because his opinion means fuck all. Unbearable little man.

Why? He could release a statement on the ambulance arson attack the same morning that it happened calling it a 'deeply shocking antisemitic attack' and saying that his thoughts were with the Jewish community. So I'm curious as to why you think 24hrs is 'so quickly' in this case?

The Golders Green stabbing within 24hrs he had called a Cobra meeting, released a statement and visited the area.

Yeah @VimesandhisCardboardBoots isn’t the dim one here.

Yeah, 26 agree emojis in one hour would suggest otherwise. Semantics aside, Herr/Mr/Monsieur Farage is a known Nazi supporter, and all the DARVO in the world doesn't change that.

Delphiniumandlupins · 21/06/2026 12:49

The kind of people who riot will not be bothered by this incident

The OP’s use of Herr was childish and simplistic which is why I raised it. It’s difficult to take the rest of her concerns seriously when this level of thinking is exposed.

I don’t really understand what you are getting at in the comment above. I can see that you judge the quality of your comments based on emojis though. Good luck.

LuckyHazelFox · 21/06/2026 13:08

There's nothing stopping Muslims from protesting is there? Why do you immediately jump to the idea of riots when this attack is disproportionate for its type?

chocoluv · 21/06/2026 13:26

The same reason why the rioters claim to be doing it to protect women and children, even though statistically they have much higher rates of violence and SA towards women and children than any other group.

These are the same men that won’t care that a woman is raped or killed under any other circumstances but if a brown or black man is the perpetrator then all of a sudden they care - but not about the woman or child.

The Belfast attack was shocking but it was a retaliation stabbing for personal reasons.
These men tried saying it was because he was an immigrant or black or that he was trying to behead him etc just to justify their violence.

This man has gone and attacked complete strangers on the street and there’s complete silence.
They can’t use this as an excuse to be racist and violent.

The double standards is shocking and it’s embarrassing for anyone to be associated with these men.

The double standards are also embarrassing that people stay silent on crimes that don't into their narrative. The Grooming scandal report thread is very quiet. As for men not wanting to really protect British women, that's a lazy argument to justify the negative stereotype of White British men.

Shoola · 21/06/2026 13:50

I thought the rioters were pretty open about being racist.

5MinuteArgument · 21/06/2026 13:52

Gribbit987 · 21/06/2026 11:07

Also undermined by the London riots of 2011. Probably the biggest riots in recent times when 5 people died.

They started after the police shot dead mixed race Mark Duggan (which was ultimately deemed a “lawful killing”).

Yes, also undermined by the mob that attacked a police station in Rotherham last year after police tried to arrest 2 violent thugs at Manchester Airport.

The OP's assertion seems to be that it's only ignorant white gammons that indulge in rioting. That is absolutely not the case.

MyArtfulGreySloth · 21/06/2026 13:53

There were no riots when Rhiannon Whyte was stabbed 23 times with a screwdriver.

Once again, why aren't Muslims protesting against this attack? Do you think the onus should fall on 'gammons' to fight every battle? Maybe the Muslim population are too busy to start goady threads. Good for them.

Why would only Muslims protest this attack?

It is a good thing though that politicians aren't calling for cold rage and that Musk is quiet.

If you are on X, have a look at the comment to Mahmood's statement. That should worry you.

How many Muslims protest alongside attacks on white people?

Now I've heard it all. The attempted beheading of Stephen Ogilvie in Belfast described as a 'retaliation stabbing for personal reasons'. You don't work for the BBC do you?
