To ask why there are no riots?

Where are the rioters today? If the roles were reversed and a man of colour was going out and terrorising white people it would be the number one story on the BBC and Herr Farage would be calling for action on the streets. Right now it's the sixth story on the BBC.

Similarly, with the atrocious and heartbreaking case of the baby who was abused and murdered. If the perpetrators hadn't been white there would have been bedlam on the streets by 'degenerate thugs concerned citizens'. The issue is clearly men, but rabid racists, the media and the malign agitators who whip them up into a frenzy never seem to be outraged when it's one of their own.

Man charged after suspected anti-Muslim attacks in Edinburgh

Two people were injured close to a mosque and a man was later seen battering the door of a pizzeria as members of the public run away.

OP's argument is somewhat undermined by the lack of rioting about the grooming gangs which were largely Pakistani heritage men preying on white British girls. This happened in dozens of towns and cities across the UK. And is still happening.

If the roles were reversed and it was white British men preying on Pakistani heritage girls, to anything like the same scale, would there be rioting? You bet your life there would be.

It amazes me that so many people refuse to imagine what would be the response, from the media, the government, politicians and swathes of the public if gangs of white men were routinely raping and abusing thousands of Muslim children in towns and cities across the country. For decades. Complete refusal to acknowledge how this would be responded to in contrast to the cover ups, minimising and frankly acceptance (yes, there are prosecutions but no concerted effort to stop this child abuse) which we see because the victims are white children and the perpetrators Muslim.

And why does the headline not say white man or mention his religion. If he was the victim, it would absolutely mention his colour and religion

typical biased bbc

Because we live in England and that is the default as something like 97% of the population

Muslims were attacked in the street in a suspected terrorist attack and no one gives a shite. You don't need to imagine anything. It's right there for all to see how much people care.

Whiski · 21/06/2026 11:35

Didn’t even see this in the press just on TikTok goes to show.
Will there be a Cobra meeting, will Farage hold a press conference?

It's not just the BBC reporting it like that. And to be fair to the BBC, they were one of the first major outlets to actually report it.

Granted, it was initially in the Scotland section and without the mention of suspected anti muslim attack and a day late.

It’s nearer 81% now.

Where is the CCTV footage of the stabbing of 2 people by Abdulwasi Ahmadi? Where are the pictures? This happened right outside the Bullring in Birmingham city centre 11/06/2026 so there will be CCTV.

The pictures released of Edinburgh attacker are the "This is a white man folks" no pictures of Abdulwasi Ahmadi. He's not who the authorities want us to see commiting crimes. What religion was Abdul I wonder - why aren't we being told?

What race or religion were Abdul's victims? No one cares because he isn't white so it's fine for him to stab anyone - white or non white it's all fine. He'll probably get a suspended sentence and a speech about the racism the poor lamb has faced.

But I’m not imagining the rapes of all those white girls, and the lack of response to them, am I?

Can anyone point me to an incidence of a riot in response to an attack on a white person by a non-white person in the UK? That seems to be the premise of this thread and I can’t think of one.

To answer my own question, there were riots after the Southport murders of three little girls. Any others?

Also the attempted beheading and eye-gauging attack in Belfast.

Any more?

Did you somehow miss the recent riots in Southampton and Belfast? Hmm

Tauranga · 21/06/2026 11:55

HelpMeGetThrough · 21/06/2026 07:20

The rioters are in the States trying to get tickets to a match or two.

What a snob.
Unsurprisingly however

The Southampton riots were because of the police response not because of the murder of Henry Nowak though.

Absolutely correct.
People riot because the police are covering up crimes, minimising and blaming.

Things have to change

See that's not true though. A man of colour ran amok in an Edinburgh neighborhood a couple of months ago with 2 massive knives stabbing locals causing nurseries and schools to lock down. Did you know about that? Probably not because the victims were of no particular religion. Starmer and Yusef didn't feel the need to comment on those attacks despite this being a very similar attack.
Mustafa kononeh from Libya has been charged with attempted murder. Thankfully his victims survived. Wishing Fridays victims a full and speedy recovery. Edinburgh is generally a very tolerant place where multiculturalism actually works well.

ainsleysanob · 21/06/2026 12:06

Haven't seen many of the usernames on this thread anywhere on the grooming gang threads. Shocker.

So we are to be disappointed when epople are not rioting? Really?

Not disappointed, just bemused.
It seems that the concept ‘two tier’ does apply- however, not to policing.

Pamelaaaaaar · 21/06/2026 12:09

Well I’ll tell you what is baffling to me.

That Swinney and Starmer raced out to condemn this man. Whose actions deserve to be condemned of course. But they are nowhere to be seen in certain other cases 👀

Political racism is one of the biggest problems we have today. Thugs being stirred up by grifting righ wingers. A complacent media enabling it.

I agree with you. It makes me fearful for the future and glad that I'm old. Hopefully I'll have shuffled off before things get too bad.

I'm beyond pissed off with it and it feels like things are going backwards. I was marching in opposition to the National Front in the 70s and the British National Party in the 80s, and I really thought that the far-right was a thing of the past.

But then along came UKIP, which spawned Reform and Restore, and here we are: far-right thugs being stirred up by the likes of Farage, Lowe, Tenconi and Yaxley-Lennon. Anti-EU sentiment gave them all a very secure peg to hang their fascist coats on. They feel that they have support and that gives them a sense of legitimacy.

And I think that Reform/Restore may well win enough seats in the next GE to either form a government themselves or enter into a coalition with the Tories. You can say goodbye to the NHS and discrimination, H&S and employment protection laws will be down the crapper in no time.

And it'll be shit for anyone who's not comfortably off.

Starmer put out a tweet 24hrs after the suspected terror attack on Muslims happened. If it was a race he certainly wasn't winning any prizes for his speed or effort.

Christ you're a bit dim aren't you. So if she has said Mr Farage is a nazi would that have been accusing all English speaking men of being Nazis?

I'm dim?

If she said "Mr Farage is a nazi" then the bit of the sentence that suggests he's a nazi is "is a nazi".

But she didn't say that, she used "Herr Farage" as a shorthand for "Mr Farage is a nazi" which suggests she believes that anyone with the honorific "Herr" is a Nazi.

catmothertes1 · 21/06/2026 12:28

2 reasons. Where this took place and who the people who were the victims are.

I live in Scotland and it's a daily occurrence that an event (someone going missing/a murder or similar incident) will not make the national news, when something similar happening in England would and might even be the main story. As who the victims,it's pretty obvious that not all victims are created equally.

OutOfApricots · 21/06/2026 12:31

"To ask why there are no riots?"

There shouldn't be any riots. Aggression is never the answer.
