AIBU to conclude women pretty much always outshine men overall?

Or is it just me? I find that men, as nice as they can be, are just a little bit shit.

And even if they’re not shit, they’re just not as good as the woman they’re with or a woman of similar age and circumstance.

I see it everywhere. My parents. Friends’ relationships. Colleagues. The sense of entitlement, putting themselves first, not being as organised, not thinking ahead in the same way, letting their mood affect everyone around them…. I am not saying women are not like this, of course they can be. But it’s rare it’s to the extent of men.

Maybe it is just me. I’m old and cynical these days.

Do you people not love your DH and your DSons?

Either they don't, or they think that their relatives are the exception (all the time sneering at other women who love men, calling them 'pick mes' and 'not my Nigel's)

It really does make you wonder what they’re teaching their sons!!! The message they spout is so harmful!!

Perhaps, but then so are the geniuses.

Have you heard of the Male genetic variance hypothesis?

There are bad men and there are bad women in the world. My DS for example is a hard working young man actively trying to bring about the UK's clean energy future. I've had arguments with DH but I love him to bits and he works very hard to provide for us.

@BettyJoanPerske but it’s not about the minority of men. It’s the fact that it’s men and not women (in the main) who are responsible for such things

Of course it’s the minority of men that are violent!

I honestly think that the people who start these sorts of threads think that the stat '90% of violent crime is committed by men' is the same as '90% of men are violent'. I mean, they can't actually think that, but it sometimes seems that way.

The “man haters” just want someone to
blame for everything that’s wrong in the world, past and present. They then don’t have to take any responsibility for their own behaviour!!! Let’s just blame men for EVERYTHING!!!!

I really really don't get how in 2026, so many are still living their lives setting themselves in boxes based on their sex.

Am I the only one who never really thing men or women? I see kind vs unkind, selfish Vs empathetic, intelligent Vs not so intelligent, interesting Vs boring, but never in terms of male Vs females. Both belong on either side of the coin in my world.

100s of women have just discovered that their loving, kind, husbands, sons, fathers, brothers and friends are rapists.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cnv9er181lno

So? What does that have to do with women 'outshining' men?

Passaggressfedup · 26/06/2026 18:07

You could line 13 women who have abused their kids too. What does it say?

I don't think that they can do. It's really disgusting how they talk.

13 women who drugged, conspired and repeatedly raped someone? Men do this. Not women.

What it says is that women can't know with any real degree of certainty that the men they love aren't rapists. That takes the shine off men for me.

It must have been her partner or father's fault. Didn't you know that women never do anything bad on their own accord!?

Passaggressfedup · 26/06/2026 18:39

There is evidence that there is more likely to be level of abuse amongst low level income.
Should we conclude that high earners outshine lower income people?

How convenient! Yet the analogy is exactly the same, so it is very relevant. It just sound much more insulting when you compare money rather than sex.

Says it all really!

I mean we obviously know that high income people outshine low income because they achieve more! Just like men often achieve more than women in s one areas.... Almost like they... OUTSHINE THEM 😂😂
