Things you hate or find overrated in hot weather

. parents draping sheets over their DC in their pushchairs. It overheats the area

. BBQs especially when used too much lighter fluid. As it makes food taste of that. Plus need to BBQ about four meals worth of meat. if you did eat inside

. Going to crowded beaches. Struggle to park, queues for everything.

Have been in Spain for 11 weeks now and am so looking forward to a bit rain.
Poor dog is melting, unfortunately he is rather dim and refuses to lay on his cold mat.
It was 27° at 06.30 when we first went out at 06.45.
Now, it's 35° and 13.03

People who go out in the blazing sun without sunglasses - why?

Hard agree about topless men - absolutely no need

Loud people get so much louder when the sun comes out - blaring music out of cars or gardens 🙄

People roasting themselves to the colour of an aubergine 🍆

People who love it as hot as it can go - honest question, do you just not sweat? The thing I hate most of all is being damp and sticky all day

Try somewhere a bit more upmarket that has parasols.

Me too. It happens every year, make provision for it and get over it.

Sometimes they're thin as a rake and also have a massive beer belly
I don't mind tattoos though.
But men with no shirts on generally, apart from at the pool/beach – mate, put it away, I always think.

I bet they are forced to wear their blazers too

YABU , try living in SE Wales where it rains all the time. l am so glad to have sunshine. I don't care about annoying trivial things just give me some Sun 🌞 🤣

Definitely people complaining. The number of weeks of hot weather each year can usually be counted on one hand. There's around ten out of every twelve months to "enjoy" shivering in the wind and rain.

My head. I need to unscrew it in hot weather. It does not last well otherwise.

If only it was that simple. Some of us have health issues which are exacerbated in the very hot weather. Believe me, most of us would like nothing more than to enjoy a beautifully hot summers day like everyone else.

Oh god yes… Has anyone noticed it’s ALWAYS the men who don’t go to the gym as well? Never the ones with a six pack and big biceps is it?!

I just don’t really enjoy hot weather to be honest. It makes me sweat constantly so my hair always looks trash. My heart rate is also constantly crazily high in heat, presumably sensitive to it or something.

Saw a tiny baby without a sun hat on today…

Sorry about your health issues. I was being light-hearted though, responding to a post about people moaning that I took to mean just general moaning, not people with pressing reasons to dislike hot weather.

in investing in air conditioning then you remember you live in Ireland and it’ll only be used 5/6 days a year

Agree, I HATE suncream. Hate the sticky feeling, hate that it makes my eyes water, hate that it wrecks the kids clothes. Hate that everything sticks to it. Hate the extra time of putting it on everyone before we leave the house.

I also actually hate summer clothes, I'm a socks and proper trainers/shoes person, with long trousers/jeans and a nice cosy jumper. Summer clothes make me look worse and feel uncomfortable.

The mess and faff of sun cream is why I cover up in summer rather than going short-sleeved/bare-shouldered etc.
Get a load of nice light cotton or linen long-sleeved tops or dresses and you're sorted. Cooler than letting the sun beat down on bare skin too. And more chic, I always think; there's nothing nice about the sight of pink or roasted chests or backs.

Public transport is quite, quite grotesque in hot weather. It smells even worse than usual, the elderly in their puffer coats never want the fucking windows open while the sun beats mercilessly in through the large windows, there's always wasps trapped in the bus and angry, a sweaty/greasy topless man leaning on your arm and a spilled can of coke slopping down the aisle.

Sex in hot weather is fun though, no chilly interludes or freezing sprint to the bathroom ❤️

People saying “ooh we definitely need a downpour!”
Omg no. All that will do is make it humid and uncomfortable. It doesn’t cool the air down, it makes everything so much worse!

Ice cream vans, especially the ones outside school. Having said that, I caved and got my DS one once last year and he dropped it and cried. He’s never asked for one again.

Sitting on the beach. Boring. Got to keep moving.
