Furious with DH’s new England flag

NC’d for this. About half the houses on our street put flags up during the big football tournaments. DH put one up with his teams badge on at the weekend, and took delivery of a new flag today. He’s proudly displayed this - it’s a St George’s cross with ‘In Farage We Trust’ printed across the middle 😫

I’ve told him to take it down and that the neighbours will judge but he’s standing firm. Would it be wrong of me to tear it down myself?!

Cut it up into a hundred bits, burn it, bury the ashes. Hopefully that would work for Farage too, he's one of satan's spawn.

Either way, his desire to wind up his neighbours is not very neighbourly... and you will be judged the same as him by your neighbours.

My uncle has recently gone a bit mad like this, he’s got divorced and spent too much time online and now he’s unbearable to be around so you have my sympathies. I’d strongly consider leaving him since he sounds like a fucking muppet, but I know that’s not always an option.

A lot of the Reform voters seem to want Zia Yusuf as PM, from posts I've seen, so if you take racist to mean only wanting white people in the UK, agreed. And no, I'm not a Reform voter, but the only people I know who say they're voting Reform are minority ethnic.
I don't put flags up myself, but it's only very recently that some people seem to think of it as problematic (yes, OP, your flag is a new one, but I mean that I don't remember anyone complaining, or thinking I should be offended, by the normal England flag).

“In Farage we trust” is such a mad slogan. I was just reading an article the other day about the negative impact Brexit’s had on the UK economy. And yet the politician whose whole career was based on conning the country into unilaterally imposing tariffs on itself as a massive act of national self-harm somehow gets a platform to spout more crap and convince people that yet again everything is the fault of migrants, climate science is made up, etc. - plus lack of scrutiny over his dodgy donations.
In a sane world he would have retired from the public stage in ignominy. Sadly we don’t live in a sane world.

I don't think he will. I think there's every possibility he won't win a leaderhsip challenge, even if he wins the by-election.

I am not a Conservative, but I think Badenoch is doing really well (surprisingly well for me) and fully expect that by the next GE, Reform will have self destructed and the Conservatives will be electable again.
