What's hated on MN, but insanely popular in real life?

Disney World
Starbucks, Costa, Nero etc
Center Parcs
A sensible political stance
McDonald's

What else?

I mean I don't think you do always prioritise the safety of children, another user said benefits are a necessary evil to stop children going hungry and you said that's 'absurd and dangerous'

Also are you from the UK or the US? As you wrote 'prioritize'?

Russia, I reckon.

The Mumsnet poster will also despise any notion of leaving their DC unattended, will deprive themselves of a shower for the first 3 years of the child's life and will forgo any social event i.e their best friend's hen, their sister's wedding et all as the child's own father or grandparents simply cannot be trusted with their care. In real life, every mum I know jumps at a chance for a night off!

No guilt here. I love a bit of kitchen roll, especially when it's coming up to Christmas and you get snowflakes printed on. I'll join you in hell, I'll bring my supply.

Me too! Will we brazenly answer doors as well?

No, it sounds absurd and dangerous.

Then you sound like an extremist. All I said was everyone deserves to be treated the same and nobody should be used as a scapegoat for the world’s issues. That’s a pretty basic philosophy.

As someone that is absurdly liberal myself I have actually noticed the opposite. There are a lot of very right wing posters and views on here and it’s been getting worse of late.

I think MN used to lean quite liberal but not anymore.

Yeah I have noticed this a lot. The change has been quite drastic.

Shopping at Aldi.

“Neurotypical”. Not hated here per se but my observation is that almost every poster on mumsnet is either neurodiverse/disabled themselves or their children are.
It seems far higher than my RL experience.

Perhaps that’s because a lot of people-myself included- find it helpful to seek advice about their ND DC from other similar parents, as they don’t have any RL friends who have similar issues?

Wetherspoons. Please let's not start a discussion on how nobody likes it in real life as I know plenty of people of all ages, gender, nationality, wealth etc that do. And their pina coladas are bloody lovely

To be fair men that have bigger boobs than women and scrawny junkies should keep their tops on.
For the record I keep my top on because what is underneath would be a crime to inflict on the wider populace of the UK.
But I do wear very nice polo shirts and tee shirts in the summer months.

My ex in the 90's used to go shirtless working on building site's. Will be against health and safety now.

It's fine where it's appropriate. The beach etc not walking round a supermarket or down the street. We've got a lot of roadworks going on in my area ATM. I do feel sorry for the workmen on a hot day when they are having to wear hi Viz jacket's.

I wouldn’t say I love my toilet brush(es) but I certainly don’t understand the hatred.

I absolutely love Disneyworld.

Donald Trump seems pretty hated. I don’t think he’s that bad actually.
