Benefits are a necessary evil, I won’t want children going hungry and people living in poverty and I would rather them be uncapped than not exist.

Pro immigration and pro immigrant, people are people regardless of their country of origin and deserve the same rights and respect as everyone else.

Love my Israeli friends, don’t love Zionism or children being killed.

Doesn't that seem sensible to you? Not unnecessarily hateful and I don’t use scapegoats to deal with my frustration at the state of the world.

I only know a handful of the 30+ women in my social circle who don't play. Even my mid 60s mother owns a PS5.

But the 41% statistic is from Sony themselves. The Nintendo Switch is 52% female owned.

Whilst I've never had a discussion with any of my friends about trans issues (it's just not on our radar) it is a very real topic out in the world. Investment in Pride is down this year again, with Trans being one of the main reasons. Pride had good backing until trans obfuscated the topic. Being fine with other people doing what they want is one thing, but ignoring biological facts and asking 45 year old bald blokes if they might be pregnant riles up most normal people.
So whilst the real world isn't obsessed with Trans issues, the issues are definitely having big knock on effects.

In fact, anything that started out as a slightly upgraded version of an everyday purchase is sneered at on MN by posters with their exquisite taste.
Not so much 'very popular' but I have yet to meet anyone in real life who banned family visits after the baby was born or who micromanages their children, husband and ideally inlaws like they do on MN. Likewise UPF.

I game most nights, but I wouldn't talk about it at work, on the school run etc because I'm old enough that it wasn't common/acceptable for girls when I was younger. It's much more common amongst the younger folk though.

Also I wouldn't mention it on general MN threads because MN hates parents who play video games.

surely you can see the difference between overtaking, and hogging the middle lane?

You don't need to constantly zoom in an out on the motorway, but it's pretty obvious when a car is overtaking slower vehicles or just being brainless and hogging the middle lane. Or worst, the "fast" lane, they do that too.

It's not just stupid but also extremely dangerous.
