To think Nigel Farage should be locked up?

He was inciting violence with his “address to the nation” speech, calling for rage.

Meanwhile, he doesn’t care when women are actually murdered by the police

Surely enough is enough and they need to take action?

Nigel Farage MP (@Nigel_Farage) on X

We must not allow the tragic murder of a young woman turn into attacks on men and attacks on the police.

I know perfectly well political centrism exists. I also know many posters are shit scared to say they support Reform because of pile ons. That is a very worrying state of affairs because democracy applies across the political spectrum. I've yet to see a centrist not get it in quickly enough they don't like Farage.

If you know it exists then why call everyone who loathes Farage lefty?

How do you know people are scared to say they support Reform. I think the opposite. I think like Brexiteers and MAGA it makes them feel powerful.

I see Reformers all over the internet banging on incessantly so I don’t think democracy is quite at risk yet. Maybe not until they potentially got into power then I would be seriously concerned as I am about the US.

It's interesting to me.

Are you harassing me? I've already had one unsolicited PM from somebody who didn't get an answer from me on their repetive posts to me.

Well A/S away if that’s your thing but it’s unduly personal to use that on a thread. Everyone has a political position and it usually doesn’t change.

Sallysparkles · 04/06/2026 15:12

LuckyHazelFox · 04/06/2026 15:08

Well I suppose anyone who poses a threat to one's own entry to power would feel like that. Burnham and Streeting being prize examples of the typical behavioural patterns of power hungry MPs.

So you admit that not everyone who loathes Farage is in the left yet still call them all lefty. Why is that?

Dontcallmescarface · 04/06/2026 15:12

LuckyHazelFox · 04/06/2026 14:26

As is your BS that you're not on the left. It's only that political persuasion who lose it over Farage.

Well Rupert Lowe doesn't think much of Farage and his policies and I don't think he can be though of as being on the left.

They had a clash of egos. Both have the same aspirations for the country and need to out those aside.

Left or Right- if you loathe Farage you're on the right side of history. Up until Cameron and the fiasco of Brexit I'd always voted Conservative. You'd never call me a lefty and I despise everything Reform stand for. Weirdly if you're decent and have an education you're far left according to the Farage cult!

That’s hilarious. As thin skinned and bullying as Trump and Farage,

But yes I’m happy to end here (bet you won’t be able to resist harassing me replying to my posts).

MulberryBrandy · 04/06/2026 15:03

Yes, thanks. I just wanted to show that when emotions run high, even when your team has gloriously won again, then riots can develop. Farage wanted to accentuate and flag-up a rightly held emotion and use if for the wrong actions.

You chose an unfortunate example I think;

Former European commissioner Thierry Breton blamed the French Government, which he said had set a bad example and had not kept its promises to immigrant youths. Breton said it was for France to teach them “the love of our country”.

Reconquête leader Éric Zemmour said the violence had nothing to do with football. “They are the first symptoms of a civilisational guerrilla war. We need a major remigration policy to bring peace back to France,” he said.

The right side of history. Bloody hell the arrogance is unreal. I see this tone in the ME conflict. Sorry to break it to you but your being on the right side of history is purely subjective.

As for the poster who seems to have taken an advanced interest in me, heaven forbid I respond to posts. Fuck me, it gets worse!

I feel for you. It’s like the far right have hijacked the Tories and there are no one nation Conservatives left. It’s now hard to be fiscally Tory and socially liberal. That is definitely a threat to democracy. As for Brexit it betrayed a lot of Tories as well as centrists and those on the left.

And where does Farage sit on the scale of politicians pandering to people.
He panders to racists and billionaire donors with an agenda.

You called me a liar when I said that Starmer didn't know what a woman was and that he only changed his mind after the Supreme Court Hearing.

QuintadosMalvados · 04/06/2026 15:42

CheeseyOnionPie · 04/06/2026 13:48

there has always been two tier policing I. This country. It’s mostly been geared towards treating non-white people more harshly. But I sense you would be ok with that.

Your 'sense' has failed you then.

LuckyHazelFox · 04/06/2026 15:55

EasternStandard · 04/06/2026 15:03

You probably do too unless you change political support very often. @LuckyHazelFoxis just posting her opinion as everyone else is. No need to A/S.

I cannot believe anyone who lives in real world has a problem with somebody sticking to their opinion. What @HenriettaHenhouse is trying to do in a not so clever way is call me a troll without saying it. I will keep on reporting her.

A different example and in another country, certainly. I was responding to a post, in the quote history:

Whammyammy · Today 13:34
Not that I agree with violent protests, but I can understand why these people have taken to protesting.
We as a nation are not listened to by our government, people are fed up with 2 tier policing, the way in which the police treated this young man in his final minutes.
What else are these, beer swigging, bin lighting...' people to do to get heard? What they have done has made headlines in global media and showed the world we operate a 2 tier justice system with limited free speech

Boomer55 · 04/06/2026 16:07

No. I don’t sgeee with him, but I don’t agree with a lot of politicians. They have their view, others have theirs. We can’t just lock up people that offend some people. 🙄
