Just heard Nigel talk about this on LBC following Digwa sentencing. Also saw the video... I'm shocked and so saddened. Not sure what my aibu is but I think we need to ban all religious weapons for a start . What do u think ? Are you in police ? Are you treating people differently?

Be honest, how often do you disparage the poor as 'racists' and cringe at the sight of your own flag? It's honestly ridiculous, virtue signalling nonsense..thankfully this horrendous and tragic murder might lead to the beginning of the end of people's sick attitude towards British people despite them welcoming with open arms people from literally every corner of the globe..

I’m from a council estate in the North East, so I’m actually not very disparaging of the “poor” at all. No middle class scorn here.

I only call them racist or thugs, when they’re racist.. or thugs.

And I would know if they’re actually just “concerned citizens”, because they’re my family’s next door neighbours, my nephews schoolmates, etc.

There are many working class people, like me, being royally let down by the groups of them that think it acceptable to smash up people’s cars and homes.

They don’t represent us. They’re not representative of “the poor,” they’re representative of criminals.

“It's the ones who claim not to support Reform but defend them regardless that should have a good think.”

@TopPocketFind - to be clear, I did not defend Reform nor Nigel Farage.
If Nigel Farage has broken the law or any codes of conduct applying to politicians, then that is for the judiciary to decide or the applicable bodies.
And certainly not any of his political opponents.

I 100 per cent believe in democracy and am against all political silencing if that is what you are getting at, at this point. Which would be rather worrying.

In fact, political silencing is far more worrying than Nigel Farage.

bafta16 · 03/06/2026 16:26

Reform are all about skin colour and hatred. If that sits well with you, Enjoy.

Araminta1003 · 03/06/2026 16:30

“Reform are all about skin colour and hatred. If that sits well with you, Enjoy.”

@bafta16 - it is too reductive, yet again.

You see I would never vote Reform. But it is clear a lot of people are voting for them. And labelling them in a simplistic and reductive manner - it is really dangerous. I doubt it puts people off. I think it encourages more people to join them to express their dissatisfaction at the status quo.

Why don’t we try and understand why people are voting Reform?

Araminta1003 · 03/06/2026 16:33

This morning my 12 year old DS enquired why so many young men are following Elon Musk’s calls for freedom of speech, when he is clearly aiming to be selling Starlink facial ID and identification services via SpaceX straight back to the Government. Now how come my 12 year old can think of this kind of thing straight up and knows about the SpaceX IPO and wants to do Quantum Computing and these other teens barely older are rioting on the streets?

To try and turn a political party into it being about “skin colour” and “hatred” makes me wonder what is going on in your head??? Why are you so obsessed about skin colour that you need to make that statement? Are you racist yourself? Are you alright?
You do realise there are people of all different skin colours that are members of that party. As pp has said above, constantly trying to silence people and label them as racists is encouraging people to join them! Constantly dismissing people’s real concerns is nothing short of gaslighting!

Please share what Reform is about if it's not skin colour and hate. Yes I know, Google is my friend.

Cut to the chase, just spit it out.

bafta16 · 03/06/2026 17:29

What is this rhetoric about people being constantly silenced? If somebody says I am concerned about uncontrolled migration and insufficient resources, nobody is " silencing"

BIossomtoes · 03/06/2026 17:32

Constantly dismissing people’s real concerns is nothing short of gaslighting!

The main concerns for voters are currently the cost of living, the NHS and the economy. I’d question who’s doing the gaslighting.

I think “gaslighting” might just be word of the week, it’s been used quite a few times on this thread.

Often to describe something that isn’t actually gaslighting.

Yes so has the racist card. Gets used everywhere so as long as people pedal the racist shit I’ll keep calling it gaslighting! Might even go as far as to call them far left thugs!

LuckyHazelFox · 03/06/2026 17:46

Seeing the Lib Dem weasels behind Farage behaving like thugs. Irony aside, what do Lib Dems actually contribute led by their weasel leader. Then you've got Starmer saying he's advocating lessons will be learned. Absolute clown of a PM, who never learns from his own mistakes, never mind those of other institutions. Unreal.

Yes. There’s a “far left thug” effort to throw bins around tonight. 7pm, I believe.

I’m not sure the many things you say are gaslighting actually are, lots of them are just truths that you don’t like.

It’s fucking gaslighting! Calling people racists because they have real concerns and downplaying and dismissing those concerns is emotionally abusive and gaslighting! Try and defend it all you like…. Doesn’t wash with me!
And no I don’t condone the throwing of bins or inciting violence!

Real concerns about… Sikhs?

New one. Don’t think that was a thing until this week.

Oh, love. Nobody is dismissing your concerns, they’re just not sharing them. We don’t all have to have the same ones.

I never hear nothing about the Lib Dem’s until it’s a general election and then they pop up out of nowhere, win a few seats and then disappear only to be never heard of again. I think the time they were in a coalition with the tories is probably the most bit of airtime they’ve had in a long time!

I am sure you recognise the kind of posters I am referring to.

And there is no political silencing.

I mean. That was over 10 years ago.

So I’d hardly say it’s recent “air time.”

WTF? Where did I say people have real concerns about Sikhs? I swear the left are loony! No people have real concerns about being dismissed! Henry Nowak was accused of being racist by the perpetrator who then tried to play the victim by playing the race card. The police listened to him over Henry Nowak who told them multiple times he’d been stabbed! But yet again you turn it into something about religion! Jeez there’s no logical argument from you people! Just spinning dumb arsed narratives and twisting stuff I say!
