And now she wants all of us to believe she is the victim here. The interviewer's face was a picture.

Parking up in my campervan! Sorry my husbands campervan

INeedAPensieve · 01/06/2026 07:36

Thanks for the new thread! I have enjoyed the first (I'm going between anger, despair and shock at the brass neck plus amusement at some poster's witticisms).

JulietteHasAGun · 01/06/2026 07:37

Did she also not know about the 108 loo rolls that appeared in her house the day before she told people not to panic buy loo rolls? Maybe he hid them from her and she was wiping her arse on newspaper?

It does seem unlikely doesn’t it. Apparently they not ally live quite a modest life.

Perhaps the relationship was on the rocks for a while and so they were living quite separate lives? Although, she could probably just say that if it was the case.

They were in the campervan.

Also forgot to answer in the previous thread, someone doubted that Scottish people were on the thread; I'm a born and bred Scottish woman, all my family the same, all SNP members in the past, I bloody campaigned! Disappointed is an understatement. They've betrayed us all yet people still vote for them. Partisan politics up here drawing from a tiny pool of people who all went to school/uni together, watch each other's backs, close ranks when criticised and barely conceal their contempt for the ordinary Scottish electorate. It was a depressing realisation for me about Nicola sturgeon, and the SNP as a whole.

Anyway, I'm sure @RealFeminist will arrive shortly to impart her wisdom about that interview... 😅

All these threads laced with vitriol directed at Nicola are just proving the point that women in politics are subjected to a degree of hatred never directed at male politicians.

It's truly embarrassing the number of posters on a site which is supposed to be primarily for women and supportive of women are so obviously enjoying putting the boot into another woman.

Pepsi4Eva · 01/06/2026 07:55

I don't support liars and thieves just because they are women. And male politicians who have done dodgy things also attract robust criticism on here. To claim otherwise is sheer nonsense.

Hi Nicola! Great weather for the campervan at the moment.

Twisterlollies · 01/06/2026 08:00

Jokes aside, let’s look at the men on the hook for their wife’s shady behaviour over the last few years:

  1. Sunak and his wife’s legal-but-frowned-upon ‘non dom’ status
  2. Carrie Johnson and her expensive decorating taste for which Boris was quizzed over the invoices in the HoP
  3. Keir Starmer and Lady Starmer’s posh gifted frocks

None of the above broke the law, but was still seized upon as distasteful. So I call bollocks on this assertion that a man wouldn’t be held to account for his wife’s actions.

Nextly SHE WAS THE PARTY LEADER. She was where the buck stopped for all matters and that includes the accounts. So either:

  1. She was actively involved and covered it up which she denies and a criminal investigation has cleared her of any wrongdoing…
  2. OR she knew/suspected something shady was going on and looked the other way to save the party’s reputation
  3. OR she was so hopeless at leadership she didn’t notice a relatively large hole in her party’s relatively small coffers and didn’t pay attention when 3 councillors resigned over not having access to the accounts they were supposed to be monitoring

🤷‍♀️ and yes naturally all 3 of those options will draw criticism, and rightly so

Violetparis · 01/06/2026 08:00

Keir Starmer, Nigel Farage, Boris Jihnson, Jeremy Corbyn all have/had vitriol directed at them. Nicola Sturgeon is being treated with the same contempt, she doesn't get a free pass because she's a woman. How pathetic that would be.

Hi Nicola! Great weather for the campervan at the moment.

I think your post here says it all about the people who are revelling in seeing a woman being put on public trial when the police and Scottish Justice system found no evidence of wrong doing.

Why not bring back public lynching while you are at it?

I disagree. People are rightly angry that she appears to be getting off with large scale theft. Sadly if there’s no proof from a legal pov then I get it’s difficult to prove but let’s face it her pathetic excuses are unbelievable. Didn’t really go in the kitchen? Never noticed a massive motorhome by the side of her in laws small bungalow? Aye, right.

I believe the police did find evidence of wrong doing and wanted a prosecution. I’m not clear how the Scottish system works but it appears this was then blocked at the next stage. Why? Cronyism? Ultimately what evidence the police found isn’t public. So nobody knows. I think it should be made public. I really think this needs revisiting. It’s not about wanting a public lynching. It’s about accountability and justice.

does make you wonder did she want independence as she’d have even more scope for siphoning off more money if independence was gained?

Do you think Keir Starmer wouldn't be treated the same if he hadn't noticed a huge camper van parked on his in laws drive ? Do you think people wouldn't revel in that.
? Her sex is irrelevant in this which is ironic as she only seems to believe in the reality of biological sex when she is trying to play the female victim.

Luckydog7 · 01/06/2026 08:13

Quite, Starmer WAS quizzed in a similar way over Mandleson when his dodgy behaviour was discovered. There was talk about resigning and I would say it was fairly plausible for him to deny involvement in that case. It wasn't happening in his house.

How do you know they didn’t? Here the Procurator Fiscal decides if a prosecution progresses. Guess whom they appointed as Lord Advocate? Her pal, Dorothy Bain. Why do you think she shouldn’t be held to account because she has a vagina? You’re over all threads about her.

I think she is a liar and a thief and the SNP have completely fucked Scotland, yet their cult like loony supporters still vote them in. The drugs crisis, education, Scottish policing, the ferries. While I pay taxes I’ll criticise all I like. The biggest issue for me is her selling out women’s rights to include men in our spaces. I think she’s rotten to the core. Maybe Pete might meet big Isla in the jail.

You're asking if the ones criticising her are even Scottish. Are you?

Oh for god's sake, she broke every financial corporate governance rule in the book, including being in a close relationship with a direct report with whose expenses she was overseeing, before we start on the auditors resigning because they couldn't audit the accounts.

This has nothing to do with her being female and as a female I resent you thinking women are above criticism because they are women.

OP posts:
LaliqueSaltGrinder · 01/06/2026 08:24

I'm Scottish! Born in the east, live in the west. Not a fan of Sturgeon and the rest of them.

She does not get a free pass by turning on the waterworks and kidding on that she didn't know what Pete was up to. That in itself shows either a profound lack of curiosity "How did we afford a new Jag, Pete" or a wilful turning a blind eye.

Irrespective of the marriage she should have been checking the accounts and did not. She ignored advice from Salmond that being leader of the party when your husband is CEO leave you open to accusations of fraud/lack of transparency. She threatened members of the SNP management committee when people asked questions.

But yeah, poor wee victimised Nicky.

He was also quizzed hard over his expensive glasses, his wife's gifted clothes, entertainment tickets and the fact he made use of expensive flats for his child to have peace and quiet for exam revision- all gifted by donors. He was rightly questioned over the probity of this- and this was stuff GIFTED, not stuff outright stolen.

The idea that Sturgeon is being treated differently because she is a woman is so ludicrious that only those with complete blinkered eyes can argue it. And yes like the OP I resent the idea that a woman gets a free pass because she turns on the waterworks. Fuck that for a laugh.

She is not playing the victim.
She is a victim of a very nasty and very public campaign to destroy her.

People have every right to doubt her innocence in this matter. They have a right to their own views. But. She has not been charged with a criminal offence.
And people revelling in making nasty comments is just absolutely disgusting. What public good does it serve?

And Starmer, rightly imo , gets a lot of criticism. But never has he received anything like the personal derision and nastiness that Nicola gets hurled at her. For years she has been referred to by derogatory names and anyone who denies that the fact she is a woman hasn't played into the attacks on her is being disingenuous.

Johnson Carmichael were the SNP auditors from August 2010 to October 2022, when Peter Murrell was embezzling funds

SNP require to lodge annual accounts https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-66132534

Johnson Carmichael didn't resign until April 2023 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-65212357

So, even if SNP weren't answering questions from within the party, I'd still like to know how Johnson Carmichael missed this. Surely they had access to the records, or they would have resigned far earlier?

Firm which audits SNP finances has resigned

The BBC understands the accountants resigned before former SNP chief Peter Murrell was arrested.

Rapists we're put in WOMENS prisons on her watch, never forget that. She has never apologised and to this day refuses to call Isla Bryson a man. Some of us will never ever forgive or forget that. I can barely look at the bloody women who claimed to be a feminist to her finger tips
