I was tricked into buying a spiralizer. Bloody Ella. I only made courgettey once, absolutely vile.

melisma · 30/05/2026 14:38

The good

  • Halara jeans (I am extremely tall and they are both comfortable and non ankle flappy!)
  • - Il Makiagr foundation - personally I absolutely love it
  • Tymo curler - works pretty well on my thin and straight hair
  • Lemonade doll bras - pretty!

The bad

  • Huel - just gross
  • Hormone Harmony supplements - did sweet FA
  • Conturve shapewear (too thick and does very little)

The utterly horrifc

  • Champo hair growth serum - sticky and gross and pretty much just made my hair.oily without doing anything else. In the bin.

Oh dear, it appears I am quite easily influenced 😁

Seen Dash drinks mentioned. I love them! I love fizzy drinks and don't like the taste of artificial sweeteners. Obvs Dash is not sweet at all but I love them. Not all flavours though as some taste artificial. The raspberry and blackberry ones are great.

Agree I am a dash fan and get it on subscription

I wasn’t responsible for buying these but older sister was. They look really comfy you would expect it to be like wearing goves on your feet. It’s not the toe separators make them uncomfortable and bits of loose thread get caught around your toes. She asked why I didn’t wear them just said I don’t like them then said you have them if you’re so bothered. She took them and never mentioned them again.

I bought a spiralizer as I grow courgettes. Unfortunately the bloody things hide and grow to gigantic proportions and they don't fit on it. Teaspoon for scale.

i love courgettes my son eats whole ones raw.

One of those heatless curl thingies. So uncomfortable to sleep in!

M&S chocolate covered custard creams.

Trip drinks.

Glamrdip powder nail kit.

Oh I love mine, but I do it weird, I don’t do top of head, so it just sits af back of my neck and I do the lengths, can’t feel it at all when I sleep and when I take it out in the morning my hair has lovely smooth curls along the lengths (it’s quite long)

Goditsmemargaret · 30/05/2026 15:34

I have three grounding sheets, one for me and the others that I love and want to help stay in optimal health. They are all taking up space in my drawer with a mass of leads.

StrictlyCoffee · 30/05/2026 15:57

Spiralizer
Juicer
aka dust gatherers

i have a shark flex thing and it’s ok but a bit bulky and the straightener isn’t amazing

Oh dear more things I remember from other posts reminding me.... weighted hoola hoop, yes hanging on the back of the living room door.

Charcol toothpaste, makes no difference

A big wave crimper thing for my hair which hopefully Ive now binned. Used twice.

Various packs of home eyelash perm and home eyelash dye and home eyebrow dye. Never used any of them. Binned.

Supplements that sit there until they go out of date. Not used. Binned.

Oh yes weighted hoop here too. Attempted to use it once then it ended up under the bed.

I got the babyliss curl thing that sucks up your hair to curl it. Got my hair stuck in it and singed the first time I used it. Cut my hair out of it and threw it away

StrictlyCoffee · 30/05/2026 16:03

I do love my karcher window vac

cheekynamechang3 · 30/05/2026 16:11

PearlieQueen · 30/05/2026 14:17

The new Pink Lady Apple flavour is the nicest one yet!

I've got this coming with my next batch!

Ineffable23 · 30/05/2026 16:38

The things I keep nearly being influenced by and not buying but sort of want to are:

  1. GlamrDip nails/similar. I like having nice nails and can paint my own nails pretty successfully - they look great for all of 24-48 hours. I'm not prepared to pay salon prices. But I'm not sure if the dippy ones would be any more robust or if they'd look good?
  1. Ninja Crispi - I don't really have enough worktop room but they do look super speedy. But is this the best option if I did buy one?
  1. I'm sure there was a third but I can't remember it so it can't matter that much.

On the steam cleaner front though, I am a big fan. Mum and dad have a Karcher and it is really effective for getting grouting clean and thoroughly stuck on grubbiness on the vinyl flooring. I borrow it about once every 3-6 months and give everything a really good scrub though, so it's not one of those things I feel I need to own.

ThisPinkPoet · 30/05/2026 16:39

Oh dear, seems I'm way to easily influenced.

Purdy & Fig, it do actually like it as it doesn't cause a headache like zoflora etc.
Shapermint vest top, it's pretty tight & I certainly wouldn't be wearing it in the summer as the material is thick. Ok for under a slim jumper.
Sweetsmile, too scared to use it incase it did something bad to my nashers 😬
Airbrush 5 in 1 styler (dyson look a like), absolute rubbish, used once. I might try & sell this.
Prime Prometics mascara, did lengthen lashes but I don't like the feeling of it. (Think crunchy lashes) Plus it starts flaking by the end of the day.
Oh & today i have ordered nip & fab spf 50 face spray stuff 🙄
I haven't succumbed to halara yet, although have them in my basket.

I'm sure there are many more ,I'm so embarrassed 😳

Northermcharn · 30/05/2026 17:04

I Love the questionably named Norwegian socks!

Leapintothelightning · 30/05/2026 17:32

sunnydisaster · 30/05/2026 07:56

One good thing (not inline per se) was the Kishskin product from the latest Apprentice winner - it’s transformed my face from a post-menopausal shit show of zits and redness to clear and bright! It’s been 6 weeks since I started it.

Oh I need more info about this please!

BoredZelda · 30/05/2026 17:40

Steam mop / steam cleaner. They are absolutely useless. I’ve been sucked in twice!

Left · 30/05/2026 17:46

I forgot about the weighted hula hoop! It was just painful and bruised my waist 🥲

BridgetRandomfuck · 30/05/2026 17:56

I am an advertiser’s dream, have bought so many hyped things from social media.

Good:

Nida skin care - no, it is not ‘Botox in a bottle’ and I don’t have anyone mistaking me for a 20 year old, but it is good value and I have sensitive skin and it doesn’t break me out. I have just added the eye cream to my stash and I think it is actually reducing my dark circles, could be wishful thinking though. The suncream is ace.

Halara - the jeans are really comfy, sizing can be a bit hit and miss, plus they only do long length on a few styles - more please!

Jelly bras - got mine from Amazon, love them, so comfy. I do have small boobs though, if you were larger they wouldn’t offer much support.

Tymo hot brush - possibly any hot brush would be just as good, but this is the one I tried and I love it.

Bad:

Crimpit - too small and faffy, just make some toast.

Il Makiage - horrible orange foundation. They said you can send it back if not a colour match but couldn’t be bothered.

Tymo beach wave crimper - oh my god, I looked like I’d stuck my finger in an electric socket, not the causal waves I wanted. My hair is offensively straight though and resists all curling/waving devices, I should have known better.

A lovely necklace - the necklace is still lovely, only this was before I understood the phenomenon of drop shipping, so I later realised the gold plated necklace I bought for £40 was available on AliExpress for £2. Lesson learned, always check the Chinese sites now if I see something advertised…

AhBiscuits · 30/05/2026 18:27

I've got the sandwich version of the crimpit and the wrap one. The sandwich one is ok, although I have not used it in forever, the wrap one is shit. I cannot get them to stay closed.

AhBiscuits · 30/05/2026 18:29

Oh I got some of those earrings with the chains from Atlas of Dreams. I really like them. I also got a necklace from there though and it was cheap shit.

MsRinky · 30/05/2026 18:37

My feed has been filled with £50 pillows that don’t squish your face this week. As someone with a permanently creased left side of face I was very tempted, but did the sensible thing and googled and now have an identical one from Dunhelm for £12.50 which I picked up today. And it was very comfy and I woke up without a massive cheek crease this morning! Also I did not give some dodgy Chinese company my credit card details. I bought an actually OK hairstyler thing from Rosie Hair but they enrolled me on the sly in their VIP club bollocks to send me crap forever for £5.99 a month, the cancel button doesn’t work, they respond to cancellation emails with adverts and then ignore you and I had to raise a credit card dispute to get rid of them. Never again…

HeidiLite · 30/05/2026 18:58

I live my Kärcher steam cleaner but sounds like in this instance you get what you pay for, and the random cheapies tend to be a bit rubbish.

ThreeStripeQueen · 30/05/2026 19:24

Love-
Smol laundry pods, fabric softener and dishwasher tablets not keen on the cleaning stuff or washing up liquid,
WOW money mist and pop and lock serum,
Rehab shampoo, conditioner, hair oil and body oil,
Trinny BFF cream,
Ninja steam mop and ninja vacmop,
Suri toothbrush,
Dyson hairdryer,
Condimaniacs
Estrid razors

Rubbish-
Purdy and Fig,
Holy Gels nails wraps,
A huge ninja air fryer,
Hampton and Astley towels,
Dock and Bay towels fine to sit on rubbish as towels,
Estrid deodorant
AKT deodorant,
Fussy deodorant,
Shapermint,
Lemonade Dolls bras not rubbish but just didn’t fit me the customer service was great though,

JillsGills · 30/05/2026 19:25

I mean I don’t know where to start.
I imagine 75% of what I buy I don’t need. I do still love my purdy and figg though.

MoonWoman69 · 30/05/2026 19:26

Oh and when everyone was raving about Charlotte Tilbury mascara, I got some. Waste of money, couldn't even see I'd got any on!
