If you are Reform are you ok with this repulsive man potentially becoming an MP and representing women in parliament?

Robert Kenyon, the “cheeky local chappie” who is standing for Reform in Makerfield is on record as making some shockingly sexist comments and statements. Reform are standing by him.

Can I ask the women on here who are Reform voters if they are ok with the him remaining a candidate given what I cite below. Btw I am absolutely not, but I’m not and never will be a Reform voter for a variety of reasons.

  1. Retweeting a post about performing a (graphic description) of a sexual act on Carol Voderman.
  2. He has attacked women as being promiscuous and accused them of taking any decision to have an abortion lightly. He wrote, “reproductive rights, women's rights, they can dress it up all they want.
  3. They're deciding to kill a baby inside the womb. What they mean is they want to shag anyone they want. And if they get caught, they get a second chance and treat it as a secondary, last form of contraception.”

Either you think this is ok (don’t understand how anyone let alone a woman could be ok with it) or presumably you’ll be contacting Tice and Farage etc to drop him.

Interested in your thoughts.

The other parties do have bad apples, but they get rid of them, usually. Plus this one is particularly rotten.

They only get rid of them when the public really get mad
they normally try to brush it under the carpet with “ I have upmost confidence in Xxx “
then 2 weeks later Xxx is gone 😂

Happyjoe · 27/05/2026 18:20

Clavinova · 27/05/2026 18:02

Farage himself is against later abortion, no matter the risk to mothers

When did Farage say 'no matter the risk to mothers'?

Semantics. He's against latter stage abortions. So even with a risk to mum, he's against it.

So, no matter the risk to mothers is perfectly acceptable.

And, trying to point score is your only concern? No wonder this country is fucked.

Clearly nobody’s told Reform voters that net migration is now at its lowest level since 2012. Or that the party that preceded the current government decimated public services through lack of investment. The wrong people are being blamed here.

@BIossomtoes I don't think anyone believes those figures, as there are so many people unaccounted for.

Like it or not, the fact remains that while tax payers are waiting years for outpatient appointments, and boat arrivals are housed and fed from day 1, people will vote for someone who'll stop it. It astounds me that politicians can't see this. It's like Nazi Germany. Watching a car crash in slow motion, and doing nothing to stop it.

That certainly does happen, agreed, but I think with crimes of Kenyon’s magnitude, any other party would have him out the door so quick his arse wouldn’t touch. They wouldn’t be defending him, even initially.

I don’t live there so no skin in the game. But I really don’t think a sexist misogynist has a place anywhere near parliament.

How very dare you have some standards!! Grins. Do you not understand it's the boat people? It's all anyone cares about. I think they're in for a big shock if Farage gets in.

So if the figures had been really high, I bet you would've believed them.

Honestly. The idiocy around now.
It's not the people on boats who are responsible for the state of the hospitals. You've been taken in.

WildEnergySupplier · 27/05/2026 18:24

He's vile.

If I was in Makerfield I'd be voting for Andy Burnham - who will make a fantastic prime minister.

LuckyHazelFox · 27/05/2026 18:04

Nah, just the usual pile on by all the posters who are on every Reform thread. There are some sad bastards who do nothing but think about Reform. It's like no other party has bad apples.

Has any other party have as many bad apples though?

And that’s always the response when the facts don’t fit someone’s narrative - the figures are false. I bet you wouldn’t be questioning the figures if they said net migration was now double the level in 2024.

DaisyDooley · 27/05/2026 17:56

I didn’t say anything about support.
I said he knows what a woman is -which is more than Andy Burnham or whoever represents the Greens.
Or the Lib Dem’s.
By knowing what a woman is -one would assume - that he supports women’s sex based spaces/jails/hospital wards/sports/refuges would be for women only which frankly is a huge win compared to the other parties.
I could never and will never vote for a candidate or party who supports men accessing women’s spaces or services. Ever.

Every misogynist in the world knows what a woman is.
Rapists know what a woman is.
The government of Afghanistan know what a woman is.
What reason do you have to suppose this particular misogynist would have women's interests at heart?
He won't have any influence at all over women's single sex spaces. Nor need he. The SC has spoken.

Of course they will
Peter Mandelson hung out within the worlds biggest sex abuser😂 considered him a dear friend and took money from him for his partner

They tried to keep him in place at the most important diplomatic post their is until it got to much shit at thrown

Kenyons tweet Is bad but nothing compared to what PM did and how labour tried to hide it sack people till they had no one left to sack 😂

Edited

I understood he would like to bring the cut-off date down to 22 weeks for normal pregnancies - I think I agree with him. Most of Europe have cut-off dates as low as 12 or 14 weeks.

And, trying to point score is your only concern?

No, the Telegraph ran an article yesterday warning us of Andy Burnham's 'true radical Left-wing views'.

All political parties seem to be equally bad at the moment. The nutters are taking over from every side. Where are the politicians who stand up for normal, law abiding, hard- working people?

At least he knows what a woman is ……..

Christ this is some people’s answer to literally every political question isn’t it? Like a speak and spell machine.

”At least he knows what a woman is.”

Hoorah for people who know what a woman is and still believe women don’t have the right to birth control. Not.

It would appear so. Reported this year (not including Conor McGinn, plus I don't think this list is exhaustive):

For feminists voting in Makerfield it's a dog shot or a cat shit sandwich on offer.

Yes. Thoroughly depressing. Thanks Labour. Why couldn't they just sit still, stay calm and carry on, and stop fcking up. Not a brain between any of them these days.

And no, he doesn't want it brought down to 22 weeks as far as I know.
