Pro-Palestine and Tommy Robinson-led protests this Saturday with yet again thousands of officers having to spend the day controling these protests. Surely there is a better way. Static protest or once a month for Gaza? I think Tommy's lot isn't weekly like the Gaza lot.

Antisemitism is a major problem and general racism also up. Armoured vehicles are needed now with the first time in 15 years to use them. Terror incidents have risen yet what have either of these 'protests' achieved apart from further divisions!

Stick them in separate areas and tell them to stand with their various placards and keep them there. They ave their virtue signalling and hate fuelled moments but stop annoying the rest of us and keep the costs down - it's costing millions of pounds.

Met call up armoured cars as London braces for a day of protests

In a package of measures billed as the toughest ever, 4,000 officers will be deployed to deal with the Tommy Robinson-led Unite the Kingdom rally and a pro-Palestine gathering to mark Nakba Day.

Nobody said you had to share the opinion of Jewish people on the marches, but you should respect their right to have a different opinion to you. They don’t claim to represent the whole Jewish community. The fact that their opinion is different to yours shouldn’t make you feel threatened, and it doesn’t make them hateful.

So, no one should feel threatened because some don't feel threatened. Its blatantly obvious some do feel threatened, do the marchers given a fuck, not a chance, they gare about nothing about people here in the UK and people having to live here with their nasty hate speech its all .....but but but Gaza.... sod the Sudanese, sod the Yemanese, sod people in this country but but but Gaza! 🙄 Meanwhile, Hamas still govern there, terrorists in charge, going nowhere whilst people in the West cheer them, and the Houthis on...🤔

If you want to organise a march to raise awareness of what’s happening in Sudan why aren’t you doing it? Who is stopping you?? Or are you really not that bothered about them but just indulging in a bit of whataboutery? Why does does it upset you so much that some people care about Palestinians?

MyLimeGuide · 16/05/2026 17:57

YANBU all these protesters are time wasters causing a nuisance with racism on both sides.

It just creates division all round and the cost is a waste.
Both have their own agendas.
I'm more familiar with the extreme far right on the fringes in the early 90s.

Not so upto speed with Palestinian protesters aims and I don't pretend to be.
Like many I find the ME extremely complex.

Except it’s the Israelis who are the aggressors in Gaza, as everyone knows.

No, we all know it’s Hamas.

ForGreenHiker · 16/05/2026 18:08

Not the same at all.

One is a protest against a genocidal regime, being funded by the uk.

The other is a hate filled little man trying to stoke devision and hate. My family is mixed race and we didn’t dare go into central London today. Which is a sad state of affairs.

MajorLanceYouDontWantMeNoMoreNsoul · 16/05/2026 18:30

@ForGreenHiker that's a terrible state of affairs not being able to have the freedom to go about your home city for fear of abuse etc.

These nylon flag clad fools are mere cannon fodder to do the dirty work,70s it was Skinheads,80s,90s football hooligan firms encouraged by BNP C18.
Now it's TR and Farage and co
They're not their kind of people ie millionaires and billionaires.

But didn’t Hamas kill, rape and kidnap innocent people on October 7th? I mean…. Thst seems pretty aggressive to me.

Cheeks4970 · 16/05/2026 18:41

It was great to stand in solidarity with tens of thousands of people today marching against genocide on the streets of London.

We are not free until we are ALL free.

So you were marching for Sudan, the Chinese Uyghurs and the Iranian people! Awesome! I was wondering when someone would. Well done!!

That's what some Jewish feel feel like, week in, week out, in London with the Palestine marches. You only felt like it one week. Imagine every week.

Replying to your points. You care nothing but Gaza. The people of the UK are unimportant but gaza gaza gaza gaza - anyway time wasting, cost millions to police, pointless and virtue signalling with no actual results for over 2 years of the same old same old hate filled marches.

I hate to say this but it looked like the people marching for freedom for Iranians were on the Tommy Robinson march, which means that some people will automatically oppose it.

Why not? There was plenty of people from all races on the march. From the clips I’ve seen they had black speakers on the stage and there was no drama. And how safe do you think Jewish people feel when these pro Palestine marches are taking place or does that not matter? The only hate I’ve seen was on the pro Palestine march where they were shouting “shoot him in the neck like Charlie Kirk”. Lots of love from the tolerant left yet again.

ItWasnaMeGuv · 16/05/2026 20:00

NotAnotherScarf · 14/05/2026 14:13

Just to point out that Tommy Robinson isn't anti Semitic he's anti Muslim. The EDF had Hindu, Jewish and Sikh groups.

The pro Palestine marchers are often uneducated about espouse anti Semitic views without realising they are exactly the same views that Hitler had is rather pathetic to be honest and the level of violence displayed by some of them is disgusting.

He isn't anti muslim he is anti the growing inslamification of the UK and demonisation of any ciltizen who complains. If you actually listen to what he says rather than what other people SAY he says, you would understand this.

Oh I did. I was just wondering where all the signs abd chants were for “free Iran”? Or free the Uyghurs?

mumumental · 16/05/2026 20:07

@WearenotborgThey certainly kidnapped and killed. It’s completely without justification. I don’t defend it. Israel’s killing and starvation of so very many (including children) since is worse, in my view, because it’s so disproportionate. They’re still at it. You can gaslight and call supporters of freedom in Gaza and the West Bank hate filled all you like. It doesn’t make it true, as most people, including many Jewish people, know. Most of those demonstrators in London are peaceful. It’s the endless warmongering which is hateful, and that’s Israel now.

Pretty fucking sick hate filled thing to say given what is happening to Jewish people in the UK recently who are not responsible for Gaza.

Anyone who has seen the pro pal marches knows damned well that are not uplifting or useful.

They're just a load of ill educated wokies who view Jewish people through an ethnically white lens and Palestinian people as brown and therefore they simply MUST march for them because good old Jacinta and Rupert simply must express their lack of racism and indulge their white saviour complex.

All they achieve is disruption, wasting public funds and persecuting our British Jewish communities all whilst conveniently forgetting that Hamas murdered people, raped women and beheaded babies, and who would happily oppress Jacinta and Rupert within an inch of their lives at the drop of a hat if they could. Luckily for them they are here in the West so they are just useful idiots to Hamas rather than cannon fodder.

If the events that happened in Israel happened here to a similar percentage of the population, people would be BAYING for blood.

KatiePricesKnickers · 16/05/2026 20:23

@mumumental Hamas and Hezbollah attack Israelis every single day, and have done so for years.
Israel is protecting itself.
Look at Egypt and Jordan, who have kept on top of the Islamists and don’t allow their countries become breeding grounds for Islamists. They have no issues with Israel attacking them.

TheKittenswithMittens · 16/05/2026 20:42
