At your school, what were the 3 most popular girls called?

And, if applicable, what are the 3 most popular girls at your dc' school called?

At my school it was Alexandra (Alex), Natalie, and Christine.

At my dc's school it's Natalie, Jessica and Sophia

Light hearted nonsense to while away a not so happy day.

Didnt have a popular group.

Or maybe I just didn't recognise them.

But font think there was a specific group of popular girls.

Just randomly groups of girls. Each in their own friendship group

DefiantRabbit9 · 01/05/2026 18:17

If by popular you mean 'Mean Girls'

Sarah (F* that bitch in particular), Ashley and Hannah

ballroompink · 01/05/2026 18:22

Secondary in the 90s: Claire, Gemma, Kelly, Danielle, Amy, Keira, Vicky
Sixth form (different school): Joanne, Katie, Harriet, Sophie, Jodie, Lucinda, Chantelle

At DC's secondary school the popular girls all seem to have 'ie'/'y' names - Lottie, Millie, Sophie, Billie, Immy, Tilly etc.

Jamclag · 01/05/2026 18:23

1980's state comp:
Kelly
Tara
Collette
Samantha

Every other girl seemed to be a Sarah, Claire or Nicola - the ubiquity adding to our general perceived lameness...

Jessamy12 · 01/05/2026 18:29

Lots as it was a massive school, the first ones that come to mind are:
Miranda
Fiona
Tess
Larissa
Josie

User7649527 · 01/05/2026 18:32

Tiff
Bug
Toady
Vicky
Sara

All achingly cool. All extremely unkind.

HardFuckingBird · 01/05/2026 18:33

State comprehensive in the 1990s - Vicky, Lydia, Jade and Renka.

In my children's school the popular girls are Emmy, Amelia, Florence and Lily. Most of the boys (popular or otherwise) appear to be called either Seb or Noah 😂

Londonmummy66 · 01/05/2026 18:34

Pippa Lucy and Rebecca

DD1 Elizabeth, Ellis and Maddie
DD2 Milly, Constanza and Ella

roshi42 · 01/05/2026 18:35

Melissa Holly Daisy

Bubblewrapart · 01/05/2026 18:39

I can't remember any of their names! Can recall their faces....but not names. They were all a combination of sporty (in the harriers and on the hockey team etc) and academic (top of the class more often than not), and genuinely seemed to be really nice people. This would have been early 2000's. Remember thinking it didn't match up with the movies at all to have popular kids which were nice, brainy and good at sports. 😂

Remembered the second I posted....one was Layla!

Conkersinautumn · 01/05/2026 18:40

Emma, there probably were others, but this is just based on the one person who seems to still check in (in a warm genuine way) with people.

There were others when we were there - Alex was head girl and went into singing I believe

HouseHouseHouse7 · 01/05/2026 18:49

Rachel, Maxine, Bethan. The latter had moved from Wales. They were really nice girls too.

DC - Olivia, Fern, Amy. Again, not mean girls as far as I know.
