At your school, what were the 3 most popular girls called?

And, if applicable, what are the 3 most popular girls at your dc' school called?

At my school it was Alexandra (Alex), Natalie, and Christine.

At my dc's school it's Natalie, Jessica and Sophia

Light hearted nonsense to while away a not so happy day.

Sally-Anne , Toni , Tracey , Marie , Nicole (senior school 1981-1986)

I still have no idea what makes one set of girls the popular ones.

At DDs school there didn't seem to be a popular group - they all just got along well together ( only 7 girls per class so they all just sat together at lunch and met up as a group outside of school)

Lisa, Gemma, Elaine, Joanne, Donna and Melissa.

Unfortunately, as popularity in my rough school meant truancy, drinking in parks, and boys (at a time and place where contraception was extremely difficult to access and sex education was rudimentary), their schooldays were easily the height of their lives. Which went downhill into very early pregnancies, poverty, and bad relationships. In our early fifties, if I'm visiting my parents and see them on the street they look much older and ground down by life. It's a real shame. They were sparky, vibrant girls.

The popular boys were Nick, James and Tim.

Awful twats all of them except Alex, who was very nice to your face but an absolute SNAKE.

DD's school: Isla, Matilda, Evelina, Aurora.

ImImmortalNowBabyDoll · 01/05/2026 17:46

Hannah, Sophie, Laura, Danielle, Alex and Kat. Alex and Sophie were nice girls. The others, not so much. But then, there were less popular girls who were also horrible.

springintospring26 · 01/05/2026 17:47

Well the bully girls were Shaz and Kaz. Im
Unsure if they were ‘popular’. I don’t think anyone actually liked them but they were very powerful. Heard years later one was a social worker, one a police officer!! Sadly wasn’t surprised but horrified that such nasty individuals would have power over vulnerable people
