I'd say nouveau riche (but not that riche).

Interior wise, the decor is following some recent trends in the mass market end of interior design.

Oh, give over. I know people like to think that they can cling to their middle class status in their terrace with nothing more than a full bookcase and framed degree certificate hung up in the downstairs loo, but that home belongs to a middle class family.

I’m looking at a similar house (in a slightly different area) and I suppose wanted to know what people would think of me if I lived somewhere like that! I know it’s shallow!

We have a hot tub. Blame the previous owners who left it. We are definitely upper end of middle class, arguably in my case aristocracy.

I have this house. It’s the Richmond by Redrow. Cost us £850k down South. We are a dual income household over £200k income combined. I grew up in a council house. My decor is massively different to the one linked but I don’t think OP meant the decor. I’d class it as middle class.

What? If you like the house, the area and can afford it, what the house is then like is up to you. Is this you "worrying" about a new build and some perceived snobbery about them?

More "nouveau riche" there is not much cultural capital on display in that home. I also know quite a few working class doing well for themselves who live in a house like that.

I would say aspirationally middle class. Someone working class trading up. Nothing wrong with that.

Not really. I'd expect to see art on the walls, books on the shelves and a different style of furniture, either classic, mid century or high quality modern design.
This looks more lower class with a bit of money. Nothing wrong with that, obviously.

Th decor is a bit ‘home bargains’ lots of
fake plants and it’s a new build so I’d say no it’s not mc - more like wc on a decent wage.

It's a nice house, loads of space, decent sized garden. I think the garden needs loads more plants!
I wouldn't be able to make a class judgement about the person who lived there. Decor is a little bit boring and there's no books or clutter, but that's what you do when you're selling a house.

Yeah it’s very new money (and really not that much money). Nothing about the decor says middle class to me. Looks like it should have a Live Laugh Love decal on the walls. Non-league football wife standard.
