How many people have you slept with?

…and do you lie about it? I’m late 30s, 4 or 5 relationships, most 1-2 years, been married now for 6 years. I’ve slept with around 50 people (I know cos I made a list once!) Only 1 or 2 were ‘true’ one night stands. I know that’s a lot but I refuse to be ashamed of it, I had a lot of fun in my youth. When I was dating before my husband I never admitted it to anyone I was dating. I’d always say less than 10. So how many people have you slept with and do you freely admit it or do you reduce the number a lot if asked by people you’re dating or were dating before if you’re in a relationship? And how do you feel about the number?

I've never told anyone how many people I've slept with.

Not because I'm ashamed, but because it's no-one else's business.

Well, I’ll probably get judged but it doesn’t bother me really. I have no idea but it’s in triple digits. I only know because I kept count initially after I lost my virginity aged 16 to my first serious boyfriend. We broke up and I discovered I really enjoyed the attention from men. So I went a little crazy with it.
Once it got to 100 I stopped counting. I then spent two years working as an escort (not coerced or abused but willing chose to make ends meet that way for a while as I was being paid to do something I loved) and averaged 2-3 chaps a day. I was also fairly wild in my own personal life and really enjoyed ONS and casual hookups.
No one in real life has ever asked me for my number directly 🤷🏼‍♀️ Then from my twenties I was in two long term relationships (back to back not at the same time 😂) and then married someone else in my thirties so it’s only 3 men over the last 20 years or so.
My husband is aware of my past and genuinely is unbothered by it. I have no regrets, I enjoy sex and was always practicing ‘safe’ so meh. I’m not going to be shamed or lie about a number that’s not important.

I've never made a list, so I don't know the number, so I'm not able to lie about it. DH and I don't talk about exes (except the obvious ones as I had a dc when we met, and he was once engaged). We know very little about each other's sexual and relationship history, we've been together 19 years.

Nobody has ever asked me how many and I've never volunteered the information.

No one is doing that about anyone. That's quite an unpleasant thing to say in general, but especially on this thread

Only three, as I met my late OH right as I turned 18 and was with him for a little over 15 years. I haven't dated since he died two years ago as I don't feel ready yet.

I definitely wouldn't date anyone who cared about what my number was, even if it was 100+ as I don't think it's relevant at all. I only know the number as it's hard to miscount at low figures.
