Could Zack Polanski be any more of an obnoxious twat?

Just seen him saying this:

'I am concerned about the rise in antisemitism and we know Jewish communities are saying they feel unsafe. There is a conversation to be had over whether it's a perception that they feel unsafe or whether they are actually unsafe.'

WTAF? Can you imagine if a politician said that to Muslims after a series of absolutely awful targeted attacks where people have died?

I don’t know, but for all my life (mid fifties) the hard lefties I know have all been unapologetically antisemitic. They don’t give a fuck.

Yes, I used to be in an anti-war group and antisemitism was rife. I remember people ranting in meetings about 'Fascist Jews'. I think they were so invested in the pro-Palestine cause that they had lost touch with reality. And it's even worse now.

Yes, and the same people are strangely silent about people being persecuted in so many other places: Nigeria, Sudan, China etc etc.

I feel sad for the Jewish community. Now I know why they have a saying about keeping a suitcase by the door.

Yes, and the same people are strangely silent about people being persecuted in so many other places: Nigeria, Sudan, China etc etc.

I hate this kind of whataboutery. Not only do people rarely protest everything but none of those countries have the huge support of our government.

As opposed to Nigel Farage who is a righty tighty and has said very anti-Semitic things?

Eh?

What’s Farage got to do with a thread about Polanski and the Green Party?

That may be true but the threat to Jews isn't coming from the right. It's coming from Islamist extremists and their useful idiot allies on the left.

That’s not what the government says. The far right is still a big threat.

We sell a lot more arms to the UAE who are funding some groups in Sudan and Saudi who are conducting a war in Yemen than we do Israel. The Israeli government do not give a shit about the UK government or their opinions.

75% of all Prevent referrals are Islamist threats.

JHound · 30/04/2026 17:44

Ok I have no time for the police but them being criticised for roughly handling a knife wielding attacker is bonkers.

I was responding to the specifics of that post.

But my point is the whataboutery is a weak argument. Most people don’t protest everything on the planet.

Yes, and a similar percentage of security threats dealt with by MI5 are Islamist extremists.

It's not the threat from the far right which has driven thousands of Jews to leave France because they no longer feel safe in Europe.

Luckily there are other options - the choice isn't Farage or Polanski.

How has she not been arrested already?? Surely inciting racial hatred is still a crime?

Not only that, she's still standing as far as I'm aware. She also wrote 'God’s people: the chosen ones. Tell me again not to wish death on these shits.' Said 'vermin need to be killed,' and wrote fantasies of seeing Israelis die.

What a vile, racist piece of shit she is.

How can she still be within the Green Party, and have not been suspended?

I mean, just how?

It’s impossible to look at this situation and not draw some really worrying conclusions about the Greens.

5MinuteArgument · 30/04/2026 19:35

Polanski is getting a well deserved rebuke from the Met Chief for re-tweeting criticism of the police officers who took down Essa Suleiman, suspect in the Golders Green attacks.

Good idea, Zac, maybe in the next terrorist attack the police should run away and hope for the best?

The Greens already set up a support group for the members arrested/suspended for antisemitic comments, conspiracies, and inciting antisemitic violence and hatred. Deputy leader Mothin Ali told them they were 'making the right kind of noise' and were 'not alone.'

As Maya Angelou said, when someone shows you who they are, believe them.

You can read Rowley's letter to the Tit Whisperer here

https://x.com/metpoliceuk/status/2049890435514958018?s=20

That's a great letter, gave Zack a proper telling off. How dare complacent dimwits like him and his followers criticise officers who are disarming someone who has just stabbed two people?

Desperatelyseekinglazysusan · 01/05/2026 06:09

Now he's decided that politicians are using ' Jewiish pain' to ban the pro pal marches. I wonder if that's real or imagined pain? He's done a massive reverse ferret after he was publicly rebuked by Mark Rowley. At least he has some shame.

inamarina · 01/05/2026 07:24

Desperatelyseekinglazysusan · 30/04/2026 13:32

I agree. He's doing exactly what the entryists into the GP wants him to do. Give them a shield for their anti Semitism- 'How can we be anti Semitic when we have a Jewish leader?' while they proceed to downplay terrorist acts against British citizens. He is either stupid or doesn't care. The anti semites, both Far Left agitators and Islamic fundamentalists are now a far larger group than the cosy environmentalists, so that's who he is playing to.

'How can we be anti Semitic when we have a Jewish leader?'

Yes, I’ve seen it several times here on MN: 'But he’s a Jew himself!' and even 'Isn’t it antisemitic to criticise a Jew?' 😵‍💫

nomas · 30/04/2026 17:32

People don’t need to protest everything, but it is interesting how many choose the hyper-focus in Israel.

Yes I wonder if he's been subjected to anti Semitic abuse by any of the Green Party candidates who have been told to remove their social media posts ( as if that's enough) or the ones who have been arrested, or his own deputy who has urged them all to sue his own party because 'we knows you are telling the truth'?

EasternStandard · 01/05/2026 08:01

I think he’s moved on from the thread title even. The letter below from MR is good.

Nasty individual. The hate marches should be banned, spreading hatred.
