Could Zack Polanski be any more of an obnoxious twat?

Just seen him saying this:

'I am concerned about the rise in antisemitism and we know Jewish communities are saying they feel unsafe. There is a conversation to be had over whether it's a perception that they feel unsafe or whether they are actually unsafe.'

WTAF? Can you imagine if a politician said that to Muslims after a series of absolutely awful targeted attacks where people have died?

Awful.

The hatred for Jewish people in the UK and blaming them for Gaza is ludicrous and appalling. Dumb people screaming 'Free Palestine ' in the UK as they annoy people in London and other areas are not doing anything for Palestinians but are spreading hatred on our streets.

Well, they've certainly "Globalised the Intifada", as they promised.

Portakalkedi · 29/04/2026 16:55

No probably not, from what I've seen I'm amazed there are people mad enough to vote for him. He makes the other party leaders look noble in comparison. (and he gives me the creeps)

Sadly they have. All those marchers achieved is the spreading of hatred.

Dappy777 · 29/04/2026 17:08

The Left has always been a magnet for three types of people. First, the bitter, destructive, hate-filled type. Second, those with a martyr/saviour complex. And third, those in search of a purpose/substitute for religion. I see a bit of all three in Polanski.

He's certainly enabling hate and division. It's heartbreaking. My elderly neighbours are now too scared to go to their synagogue, and that makes me so angry on their behalf. I've offered to drive them and collect but they're scared someone will force their way in.
They are mid 80s 😢

It's so bad. I wish all those leftists on the pro-Palestine demos, who are really only there because it's a trendy cause, would pause to think about what they're doing. Their anger towards Israel spills over into harming ordinary Jews in the UK who are not responsible for Israeli government actions.

If I was them I would no longer be going on those demos.

Yes, as pp have said, it's just sown hatred. The chanting, the banners, the badges, the placards, slogans and graffiti have been allowed to dominate a space, without thought or reflection.

Yes, and the same people are strangely silent about people being persecuted in so many other places: Nigeria, Sudan, China etc etc.

I feel sad for the Jewish community. Now I know why they have a saying about keeping a suitcase by the door.

Ilikesundays · 29/04/2026 17:56

Considering two Jewish men suffered serious stab wounds while walking along a main shopping road in Golders Green today, I’d say the fear is very real and justified. Polanski and his Palestine Action followers have a lot to answer for the anti-Jewish hatred that’s only too prevalent.

Absolutely. It makes me so angry that this is Britain in 2026, a supposedly diverse, multicultural, progressive society.
We have a minority group scared to identify themselves, scared to share their heritage and religion, and scared to go to their places of worship.
Shocking.

It has sown hatred.

What good could come out of "globalise the intifada", calling The Houthis to stop ships, screaming 'Free Palestine ' in the faces of people in the UK. It did nothing good, but encouraged and emboldened hatred against innocent Jewish people here in the UK.

I agree. I've seen it myself in the workplace, the emerging bigotry, the ignorance, the stereotypes of Jews.
It's all accelerated since the atrocities of Oct 7th, which are still minimised and denied by many.

After a while, when it becomes clear that that's all it achieves, since it doesn't do fuck all for Gazans (nobody who gives a shit about Gazans would fail to denounce Hamas, much less support them, ), you have to start wondering what the objective has always been.

Preppyprepper · 30/04/2026 06:21

I think the Green Party carries a stigma now that Reform carries.

If someone votes Labour/Libdem/Tory/SNP etc then they may share different opinions to you, while still being mainstream and not a bad person.

If someone votes Green they are agreeing with the racist antisemitic filth that half their MPs spout. Putting a Green party banner in your window signals you are a racist and dimwit, in the same way as putting up a reform poster, or a union jack with a bulldog on.

Anyone who openly admits to voting or supporting Green is now outing themselves as a racist antisemite, supporter of perverts and drug use.

ScarlettOYara · 30/04/2026 06:35

I'm surrounded by Green Party banners in my neighbourhood! Teachers, civil servants, university lecturers... people I always say hello to. It's a worry.

I wonder how many of these people go on the 'peace' marches calling to 'globalise the intifada' scream 'free Palestine at all who pass, run into McDonald's shouting at people , march pass Jewish areas causing fear, sit in the road, holding up signs for Palestine action, (who think it ok to whip security guards, take sledgehammers to break in raids, and 1 member took a sledgehammer to.a prone policewoman's back and broke her spine apparently in fear for himself) 🙄.

This building of hatred week by week matters, this obsession with Gaza, above all, over all world problems eg in Sudan, Yeman etc., builds an intolerance for anyone who doesn't join the marching club. Logic goes out the window

Exactly this. Hatred was allowed to grow, and spread. It normalised the language of terror. It was everywhere. It should have been stopped.

I hope the government sees now where falling for the "free speech" argument has ended up.

Not just this government, the Tories before them too.

I’ve also been seeing it amongst people I know.
Lovely, well meaning people saying things like “it’s not antisemitic, it’s just anti-Zionist”, using the word “Zionist” in the way they would use “white suprematist”, saying the attacks on Jews in the UK while being unacceptable are consequences of Israel’s actions…

Yes, it certainly accelerated because it was enabled.

Today more crap from ZP.... poor knife attacker. The leader of the green party is odd.

"The Green Party leader has shared a tweet that said the officers were acting 'violently' towards the knifeman who was Tasered after allegedly stabbing Shilome Rand, 34, and Moshe Shine, 76."

So are we the police to be gently, gently towards perpetrators of terrorist acts. What the heck is coming to the UK. Green party is the upside and back to front party.

Oh they make me sick. Why can't more people just see there is too much antisemitism in the Green party. And their leader is a big part of the problem.
