As for women, I think most men are oblivious to manicures, eyebrows, even haircuts (if DH is anything to go by!) A nice smile and a sparkle in your eyes, even if you are otherwise unremarkable-looking probably goes a long way to making blokes notice you. Along with being friendly/ chatty.
