I’ve noticed that there’s one particular poster who almost always likes or agrees with my posts on a thread.

I use a few different usernames and post on threads about a variety of topics - politics, bad husbands, hen do dramas, inheritance, general life issues and all sorts of random things. I just notice this same username popping up all the time (there’s a second who I notice agrees with me very regularly, too).

Clearly we’re very similar and think the same way about a lot of different things. Just wondered if others have noticed the same.

YABU- I’ve never noticed a particular person always agreeing with me.

YANBU - happens to me too.

This is turning into a 'who is your favourite Munsnetter' thread. How very retro.

Agree - whenever I see a three word username like 'willynosepsycho' (check out the mafs thread for that reference) I always know to avoid the thread as its just ai generated

It doesn’t necessarily mean the thread’s AI generated though.

When people sign up Mumsnet automatically suggests a user name for them in that three-word format. So people who are newly signed up and can’t think of a user name (or whose user name of choice is already taken by someone else) often have those names.

I have a Reddit user name like that.

Some might be AI bots but lots won’t be.

I never did but then I was reading a thread and realised I knew the op in real life. She was a massive over-sharer on here so then every time she popped up I knew more about her problems and opinions than I’m sure she would have been happy with her real life friends and acquaintances knowing.

Ever since then I’ve changed my username every couple of months just in case.

Oh god I feel 🫣 about that one too. Triggerhappy with the like buttons and very leaky with the overshares. Shuffle of shame

An acquaintance in real life showed me screenshots of Mumsnet posts of a mutual neighbour, and her sister in law. It felt very intrusive.

After that, I started changing usernames regularly.

Is it just me who pays zero attention to user names? I rarely look at them and could only name maybe three posters off the top of my head. I’ve been here off and on under various guises for almost 20 years.

I’m the same, I don’t really take in the usernames unless someone says “love your username btw” then I have a look. There’s one name I’ve noticed seeing on various threads but I can’t remember anything they’ve posted before when I see it.
