AIBU to ask if you have a mumsnet twin

I’ve noticed that there’s one particular poster who almost always likes or agrees with my posts on a thread.

I use a few different usernames and post on threads about a variety of topics - politics, bad husbands, hen do dramas, inheritance, general life issues and all sorts of random things. I just notice this same username popping up all the time (there’s a second who I notice agrees with me very regularly, too).

Clearly we’re very similar and think the same way about a lot of different things. Just wondered if others have noticed the same.

YABU- I’ve never noticed a particular person always agreeing with me.

I agree with your politics, your sense of fairness, your undramatic and sensible approach to family issues and your anti ageism. Plus your ability to express yourself in a few shrewd sentences, no messing!

I often agree with you, but I NC very frequently so you’re unlikely to recognise me. There are about three or four other people I usually seem to find myself in agreement with. I often used to agree either way BertrandRussell, but haven’t seen her about in a long time..?

I have several posters who regularly agree with me, often across quite a wide range of topics. Including a couple on this thread!

I usually agree with everything they post to. I often think that we would be good friends if we met in real life.

There was one poster on here previously that seemed to agree with virtually everything I ever posted more than anyone else, but I haven't seen that poster for a while - either liking my posts or posting stuff of their own. I really hope that they are just taking a break from MN and that nothing bad has happened.

There’s one poster who has had very similar life experiences to me, is about the same age and holds the same views. Sometimes we rally exchanges, often I receive notifications she’s agreed with me but I name change constantly.

I rarely, if ever, even clock usernames.

I always wanted to be a twin. A Mumsnet twin will do 🙃

I tend not to notice usernames. Posters change them so often they are meaningless.
I often don't check on who likes a post of mine, so it could be the same name or various.

There are one or two posters I agree with regularly and vice versa.

Same. I’m pretty unobservant on here.

I never read posters names and I change my user name every few weeks. So I guess that’s a no from me, lol

Yes, I do absolutely notice usernames - both those that I think always make really good points and others who I think are almost always asshats 😂

I don’t deliberately hoard facts about posters but if I notice a fellow autistic woman, or a poster with SEN DC then it often tends to stick in my brain.

To my eternal shame I do look at the usernames of those reacting 😂🫣 But that’s mainly because I like it when names of people I recognise and respect pop up, particularly if I feel as if I’ve been unintentionally controversial or gone against the grain.

I used to NC a lot but I rarely bother these days. I like this username so I’m loathe to change it!

I have one poster who once told me she disagreed with just about everything I post but she thinks my cat is gorgeous. So we do agree on one thing. 😻

Yes. There’s a poster that likes quite a lot of my posts. I agree with a lot of hers.
I wonder how many regular posters are on here?

There’s only probably 2 or 3 names I recognise/notice. There is a person on Sen boards I fan girl on a bit as they are do knowledgeable and even when they change their name I can tell it’s them

I dont know. I never check my posts to see if anyone's reacted and I have notifications turned off.
