People who insist on packing their shopping at the till in Aldi should be made to pay a surcharge. Or banned for life.

Conversely, I think people who stay living where they grew up, for the most part, lack imagination and ambition.

You got me!
My only defence is that I didn't go to uni and that from 30 years onwards I was a single parent and didn't want to move my DS away from his dad. It is a bit shit though I agree.

I find it really weird and uncomfortable when people treat their dogs as if they are their “child”. Pets are lovely, but they are animals, not human beings! They should be treated as animals.

Bless you 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Morally superior people really piss me off. You know the ones who call you thick because you don’t have the same opinion. It lacks intelligence yet they think they’re so much intellectual than they really are.

Natural diamonds are overrated. Cubic zirconia is cheaper and sparklier. For natural clear sparkly stones there's zircon, topaz and sapphire, for synthetic sparkly stones there's CZ, moissanite, lab created diamonds and synthetic rutile (the sparkliest of all, it looks like holographic glitter.) I only found out synthetic rutile existed the other day and now I really want some. It was used as a diamond substitute in the 1950s. (I wonder if the clear stones in a ring I found in a charity shop are that!)

It’s hard not to treat them like a family member.

Mine is people who buy dogs jumpers and hair bows etc.

I think it’s cruelty!

Very strange. The tendency in recent years to take dogs to John Lewis, Clark's, every café, restaurant and bar. It's not an accessory. It's an animal.

Oo, I'll piggyback on this and say that I think design and setting is everything. A bad one will make the most expensive diamond/stone look cheap and tacky!

I am not against it being a family member of course, but they are still animals!! I have relatives who literally treat their dog as if it’s their child. It’s often people who don’t have any children of their own. If you want a child then have one, don’t replace it with a dog!

Literally this.. Some people even say they prefer their dog to their spouse!

Oh, on shoes. Pointed toes on shoes. Especially with trousers. Pointed toes on shoes which are otherwise open. Pointed toes on otherwise open shoes that are neutral in colour. I can never say this because people are still wearing these abominations.

I really hate very pointy toe shoes. I can’t understand why women wear them. Round toe are so much nicer.

muggart · 17/03/2026 23:25

it was a little embarrassing how ugly our royal family was prior to Kate and Meghan marrying in and raising the standard. I secretly suspect that it made the world see Brits as somewhat unattractive by extension.

Many countries see British women especially as ugly and I do think the royals and upper classes who are all far more inbred (and have different heritage with a greater % Norman or German and lesser % Celtic, Saxon, Norse) than the majority are to blame for that.

Think… horsey.

Bushmillsbabe · 18/03/2026 13:16

People who don't even try to stop their child kicking the seat in front shouldn't be allowed to fly. I had my seat kicked for4.5 hours all the way to gran canaria. After 2 hours I asked one parent 'please could you try to stop your child kicking my seat, i have hurt my back and it's making it worse' - the mother just shrugged at me and did nothing. On the way back, who is sitting behind me - the kicker!

On that topic - manspreadwrs should be forced to pay for 2 seats, along with anyone who cannot fit into 1 seat. Planes are squashed enough as it is.

I have small feet so round shoes make me look like I have trotters.

Men who wear loafers with no socks and suits - looks absolutely ridiculous

I prefer that to someone chewing frantically, jerking their head from side to side and pointing at their mouth while squeaking mmmmmhhhhmmmmm! until they can answer properly.

Edited

I think the idiot that asks a person that has food in their mouth a question needs to leave the table and check their own manners.

People who let dogs sleep in their beds have weird standards of hygiene.

I've caught more things from a child than I have from a dog and people let them sleep in their beds all the time

Viviennemary · 18/03/2026 13:19

Dogs should be banned from everywhere. And I would say that out loud.

People who pay actual money to make their cars loudly pop and bang are fucking antisocial losers who need to get a life.

People who vape are grim.

Vaping is grim but not necessarily the people. My son vapes. I wish he wouldn’t, but he is a fantastic, lovely son.

I totally agree. One of my (ex) friends has a dog with pink bows in her hair and an array of jumpers. She even has boots and, wait for it, a PRAM in case she gets tired on a walk.

All the dogs in the area probably bark to each other about how ludicrous she looks when she’s out.

The worst one I’ve heard was another friends ex husband who was getting married again. The new bride’s chihuahua was a bridesmaid. She had the same dress as the actual human ones 🤦‍♀️.

We still laugh about it. The poor dog 🤣

people who stand at the baggage carousel at airports blocking it for everyone else & are then joined by the rest of the family some of them little kids. If everyone stood back and waited for their bags before going straight to the belt it would be a much better experience. I think to myself some of these must be educated people just statistically speaking. Yet they clog up the belt so when you see your suitcase you’re practically whacking them with it to get them off whilst trying not to hit their child

Exactly the situation at the school gates. Stand back, Jesus Christ you don't need to be practically IN the gate. Then continue to stand there yapping even after you've retrieved your child. MOVE!
