OK this has made me think of another.

The absolute hero worshipping of him, when most people had barely given him a second thought for years, since he died has been absolutely bloody ridiculous.

😄😄 I don't think its hero worship to say hes talented? I didnt know much about him when he was alive, other than he ate a bat or something

Hes talented, that's all 🤷‍♀️

Your comment was fine.

It might be a bit of overexposure to it in my case. My best mate is a Brummie, I work in Birmingham quite a bit, I listen to some Midlands based radio shows and they're still going on about it, wanting to rename the airport etc. Even the parade through Brum seemed a bit OTT. I'm sorry for his family and it's terribly sad but the response has been beyond.

Trans doesn’t exist. There’s just people who have mental health problems that need help.

if I identified as a pirate and wanted to chop off my leg and replace it with a wooden leg to feel more pirate-like, would people support my decision or get me the mental health support that I needed?

Can I ask you a genuine question? When did you get so het up about 0.1% of the population?

I suppose my opinion that is hard to say out loud is that I don’t get, and never will get, the complete hysteria (I’m including male and female hysterics here) over a tiny amount of people considering they have always been with with us.

I have said it on here but it always leads to other women calling me all the names under the sun, grouping together to make fun of me and generally acting like complete and utter weirdos and bullies.

BauhausOfEliott
The more I read about Mumsnetters’ opinions on sex and sexual attraction, the more I am convinced that a hell of a lot of married women are colossally in denial about the fact that they’re asexual or repressed lesbians, and only married a man because they wanted a baby.

Thats such a misguided man’s
view- it’s that we’re bloody exhausted

eta mine is that farms smell lovely and koala bears are creepy!!

Because that tiny proportion of the population are very very loud and trying to ride roughshod over everyone else. If they were just living their lives quietly and without fuss, fine. It's expecting women (and gay men) to put up and shut up when they're in our spaces and communities and coming up with nonsense instead of using perfectly good words we have already. (I see pregnant people a lot at the moment and that drives me bananas.)

He put heavy metal on the map. He was a pioneer of that genre of music. He then went on to host one of the most anticipated concerts in years bringing with him other iconic rock bands to Birmingham! He died days later because he was severely ill. He’s personality and life is unique. Ozzy stayed Ozzy, his significance is huge. Meet rhe osbournes also revolutionised reality tv. I’m not overly bothered about him either but I do understand why there’s so much hype about him.

Because that 0.1% have successfully managed to engineer societal adaptations that fuck an entirely larger percentage of the population.

The removal of womens privacy when undressing/in a vulnerable state being one, and the attempted eradication of homoexuality being another that springs immediately to mind.

Didnt know that they'd always been with us. A pre 20th century example would be great.

I don't think that is an unpopular opinion! 😬

I couldn't agree more.

I have been sexually assaulted multiple times in my life. this is not uncommon in the female population. 99% of sexual assaults are carried out by men.

Transwoman are men. Thats what the ‘trans’ in transwomen means.

In the past a blind eye was turned to transvestites using women’s single sex spaces in the knowledge that if they were acting in a threatening or even odd manner uncomfortable women could tell them to get lost.

The DEMAND that we should allow transwomen into our single sex spaces is a threat to me and other women uncomfortable with men in our single sex spaces.

Biological female rights should count more than the feelings of some men. I’m so delighted that the Supreme Court has upheld my rights to single sec spaces as it means I can go out and about safe in the knowledge that if a man tried to enter these spaces I can now call him out without the danger of being called a bigot.

Im sorry if these facts upset you.

Pointing out the biological fact that trans isn’t a possibility doesn’t make somebody a bigot. I think the real issue here is this type of behaviour from people like you when people refuse to be gaslighted into agreeing with your nonsense.

I’m not upset in the slightest. I just think you’re all bigots. Didn’t read your whole post btw. Though the length of it affirms my opinion, so thank you 😊

And Oxfordshire. Scarf and giraffe rhyme in my accent.

People who use the word 'neurospicy' need to stop. It's a ridiculous word and I instantly think the person using it is an idiot.

Polyamory is just an excuse to sleep around while having the benefits of a long term relationship. The way people get really defensive when it's criticised is quite funny. Casual sex in general is overrated.

Aesthetic is a ridiculously misused word. People who say something is so aesthetic/an aesthetic need to be smacked with a dictionary until they stop! And maybe a thesaurus until they learn some new words.

Make up has got bloody boring recently. I can't even find a good bright pink lipstick shade in places like Boots or Superdrug anymore (I used to make a beeline straight for the bright pink/fuchsia shades.) Then the 2010s really kicked in and there was a smorgasbord of amazing lipstick/lipgloss shades, (I spent a fortune.) It tailed off at the start of the 2020s and now it's just bleh.

The abortion limit is fine where it is. No one should be aborting a healthy foetus past 24 weeks. If there's something wrong terminations for medical reasons go up to full term. And as evidenced by a few cases of men slipping abortion pills into their partners' food and drink to induce a miscarriage, I think the ease with which people who aren't even pregnant can get hold of them is scary.

I do hate the way some women expect all other women to cheerlead everything women do, with regards to things like casual sex, prostitution, dressing a certain way, etc. Nope. Just because we are of the same sex it doesn't mean we have to agree on everything. I think there's limits to everything.

Agree with your last point. Just because a woman makes a choice doesn't automatically make it a good, feminist, free choice.

tbf with many expensive powerful cars with low suspensions if you don't slow right down for speedbumps you'll rip the front bumper/moulding clean off the car.

It's also why I often refuse to be forced to drop off the edge of the road onto the verge to let the twat flying towards me down the middle of the road past.

Yep, having scraped the front spoiler too many times on speed bumps, I slow down every time. My car cost a fortune to me and was a real treat so I’ll be kind to it.
