It's better than Rolf Harris's place, at that price.

AmazingGreatAunt · 13/03/2026 19:42

Pretty, but what about flooding?

scientista · 13/03/2026 19:44

Is it yours ? I’d live there

Silverbirchleaf · 13/03/2026 19:45

Its a beautiful looking house on a beautiful plot and a lovely location. However, for a ‘recently renovated’ house, it lacks soul. Did they get a cheap, job-lot of white paint!

StationJack · 13/03/2026 19:45

What's my house doing on Zoopla? Smile

Floodplain.

scientista · 13/03/2026 19:45

What does the boat house look like on the outside ? I don’t see a pic

Catlover77 · 13/03/2026 19:48

Perfect. Not plain at all as PP stated

It's a blank canvas. You can easily paint over white.

Newtatterail · 13/03/2026 20:07

No flooding risk, the large garden between the bridge and river means it’s never flooded (in the last 40 years) we are told

To be fair, it's a great price for what and where it is (flooding checked first!), when you compare it with some bog standard detached houses on an anonymous street in other parts of London for not much less.

I like the white walls, think it works well with the darker furniture so wouldn’t repaint

It’s the very first picture on the main listing - the white structure on the left. The boat house was lovely - that balcony was my favourite part

Gorgeous, if I had the money and I’d done due diligence on flooding then I’d snap it up. Do you want me to live in it for a couple of years for you just to check its suitability?

Holymotherforkingshirtballs · 13/03/2026 20:10

I'd definitely want a good flood risk survey done. That's the first thing I thought (but I am married to a flood risk analyst! 😂). But seriously with climate change and wetter winters flooding could be a problem in the future.

i really like it but wondering if it’s just me

I was thinking it was very white!

Does it have parking? I’d want parking. Opens straight onto the narrowest section of what is a reasonably busy road and bus route. Semi-basement kitchen in the flood plain Confused. I know the area and i wouldn’t be tempted.

Altitudewi · 13/03/2026 20:13

Nice, until that river floods.

Why would it be ‘just you’?

Mummadeze · 13/03/2026 20:15

Absolutely stunning. Wish I could live there.

CoastalCalm · 13/03/2026 20:15

Has this been up for sale previously as the photos look like they were taken in Summer ?

Zanatdy · 13/03/2026 20:15

Love it!

Parking across the road in a paid for car park. Resident permit is £112/year. I reckon with all that land at the back - it’s huge - that’s why the price it’s at.

the house has never flooded because of the distance from the river across the large garden I’m told (survey will confirm, but owners seemed confident they have lived there for over 20 years)

house is air conditioned - I love that!

Oh I would absolutely love that setting, but the kitchen looks dark, the attic room sloping walls would annoy me, and I would worry about flooding. Climate change means new risk. On that budget I would want to do better.
