Yes. It is still prescribed for ' normal weight'
My god

That is quite bizarre behaviour on your part

Nocameltoeleggingsplease · 11/03/2026 16:01

They don’t look at it before payment.
You pay, then afterwards you send pics, proof of id etc and then if you don’t meet criteria they refund you

FlatErica · 11/03/2026 16:01

Enyastar · 11/03/2026 15:51

If im 9.5 stone and classed as chubby at 5ft 2 have to laugh.
I do 100 squats and sit ups daily. My weight is muscle. I am an ex semi athlete.
I have been approved.

I did this to prove a point. The industry is CORRUPT.

Calm down, Patrick Bateman!

WorstPaceScenario · 11/03/2026 16:01

IDrinkTeaAllTheTime · 11/03/2026 15:59

Sure you do 🙄.

As an ex-nurse, I never used the phrase "health industry", which makes me wonder exactly what the OP does (if they even do work in health). I never had any colleagues who'd have referred to healthcare as an industry, other than the sales reps

museumum · 11/03/2026 16:02

That's awful - who did you go to? Please name and shame.
I went with Lloyds Pharmacy and had to provide photos and a video of me on a scale moving between my face and my drivers licence ID and the weight on the scale and step on and off to prove it was me (BMI 33 at the time). It was very thorough.

MamaBearH · 11/03/2026 16:02

MargoLivebetter · 11/03/2026 15:59

What do you do in the health industry @Enyastar ?

Given there is an epidemic of obesity in the UK and globally what is it precisely about weightloss injections that grinds your gears so badly?

Do you also object to gastric bypasses, Orlistat, weightloss hypnotherapy, diets and so on?

Considering OP describes themselves as an ex semi athlete (wtf?) and in a health field plus their aggression to others, I'd say they probably sell mlm products and are mad their business is being affected by jabs that actually work.
If OP is actually concerned about this unnamed pharmacy then report them. Otherwise move on with your life and let those who choose to use jabs make their own choices.

HairyToity · 11/03/2026 16:03

I agree OP. I think something that can cause pancreatitis and other side effects shouldn't be given out willy nilly. Yes if you have diabetes (originally developed for) or obese but not for normal BMI or in overweight range.

Zov · 11/03/2026 16:03

Avantiagain · 11/03/2026 16:01

Name the pharmacy or it didn't happen.

This. Who is the pharmacy @Enyastar ?!

Heartbreaksally · 11/03/2026 16:04

They don’t look at it before payment.
Onece you pay, afterwards you'll be asked to send pics, proof of id etc, and then if you don’t meet criteria they refund you. The prescribing clinicians are not going to waste time considering it before payment is taken. You've filled in an application form.

If you want to actually prove that youd qualify, put your money where your mouth is and pay. You'll get your money back.

Zov · 11/03/2026 16:04

Who ARE the pharmacy I should say!

CreamolaFoam26 · 11/03/2026 16:04

Because i work in the health industry and i and others will do the best to stop this weight loss private jab industry.

Right oh.

SilenceInside · 11/03/2026 16:05

@Enyastar calling for better regulation or more frequent inspections of online pharmacies is fine. What is odd is to want no one at all, that’s hundreds of thousands of legitimate patients using them responsibly, to have access to an effective treatment. Seems a bit of a knee jerk reaction.

Why would you want to do that? None of your ranting makes any sense. You just come across as unhinged

ExtraOnions · 11/03/2026 16:06

I’ve been on the jabs for just over a year. I’ve lost 6 stone.

I have been with 2 pharmacies MedExpress, and currently Bolt.

Last month I paid for my Bolt renewal, but entered my weight wrongly, so they held it (after payment) so it could be reviewed.

On Med Express I was reviewed every month - after payment.

I can’t think of one pharmacy that is charging that amount for the lowest dose of MJ.

I am pleased that you are able to achieve and maintain the BMI you have. Some of us, despite years of trying, have not been able to. The WLI have helped us to become healthier .. I was on the list for a knee operation that I no longer need.

I suspect your original message is rage bait, and if that’s how you want to spend your day, that’s fine .. but it’s full of holes

DarkForces · 11/03/2026 16:06

FeelingSadToday1 · 11/03/2026 16:01

But you haven't proven anything until you have the medication in your hand.

Exactly. They'll check whether you qualify and refund you if not

bafta16 · 11/03/2026 16:06

What an odd way to spend your time

IsEveryUserNameBloodyTaken · 11/03/2026 16:06

Trusttheawesomeness · 11/03/2026 15:35

It’s not madness. It’s simply not true.

On what planet would that not be true.

Enyastar · 11/03/2026 15:55

Because i work in the health industry and i and others will do the best to stop this weight loss private jab industry.

But the NHS won't prescribe it.

Why don't you want people to be able to lose weight?

I work in healthcare too and have read a lot on this in scientific journals and the research increasingly shows more and more benefits in so many areas. Adhd, addiction, parkinsons , cardiovascular.

I'd love for the NHS to be prescribing it more, but until they do, and especially since youre already slim and a healthy weight, whats your problem??
Mind your own business. You're uninformed.

Working in healthcare could mean anything. Hospital porter? Doctors receptionist, pharmacy assistant, mental health carer? Optician? Gynaecologist? Orthopaedic nurse? Podiatrist?

Why are you trying to stop people taking charge of their own health in the absence of a reliable NHS?

SuzyFandango · 11/03/2026 16:07

This is not news. There are fucking loads of online pharmacies who will do this.

Hereforthecommentz · 11/03/2026 16:08

Yanbu these jabs are ridiculous. People have got so lazy they can't even do the basics like go for a run, walk cut down on shit. They want to pay hundreds for some poison in their body. Fucking mad bastards.

Enyastar · 11/03/2026 15:55

Ok
But what about the genuine cases
For example my start weight was 27 stone ,to my eternal shame
,I'm nearly 11 stone down ,and still have a journey ahead of me
I couldn't of done it alone .
People have to rake some sort of responsibility when applying for these jabs ,they are a medication after all .
Are you wanting the jabs stopped for people like me ?

KPSnack · 11/03/2026 16:09

Enyastar · 11/03/2026 15:55

I think it depends on the provider. I’m 5’3, 11 stone and it has been a straight no. They are businesses, some will be more ethical than others.

SuzyFandango · 11/03/2026 16:09

But the NHS won't prescribe it.
Why don't you want people to be able to lose weight?

People who are not overweight do not need to lose it, and the risks of these jabs are thus not outweighed by health benefits in doing so.

Well done to you. I started at 21 and now down to 15. I think people who haven’t lived it just don’t get it .. they think we don’t understand the concept of Calories (we very much do!)

Keep going !
