The Al Jazeera investigation indicates that it was the US/Israel that hit the school.

Posters will say they don't trust AJ.
But the Guardian, Deepsite and others confirm the school was hit.

This thread is absolutely disgusting. For the last two years we have seen the Israelis target every single hospital in Gaza and multiple schools. And then also do double tap attacks where they target the rescuers. And then you have people DENYING they targeted a school?

‘Why would the US or Israel target innocent civilians?’ Because they literally do it ALL THE TIME. At least 75,000 dead in Gaza - tens of thousands of which are children by Israel using American bombs?? Honestly no wonder the entire world can’t stand those two countries - because they cause the most destruction in the world and then their people think they are free and yet parrot everything they say yet think it’s everyone else that has no freedom of thought.

Exactly.

Al Jazeera is funded by the Qatari government who are also a financial backers of Hamas. Do you think they are an unbiased source?

To be honest given that they managed to kill khomeini in the first hour and then the panel of experts trying to elect a leader, as they were doing, it I doubt their info on active bases is wrong.

Iranians have been putting out pictures of basji in schools, I remember Iranians talking about it a few weeks ago and posting pictures of IRCG forces moving onto school sites. Help one of their spokesmen literally held a press conference in a school yesterday. So as I said the americans could have done it. Very Hamasy of them.

I just don’t trust anything the IRCG says or does tbh.

I completely agree with this poster.

AStonedRose · 04/03/2026 06:55

This is so unlikely to be a rocket misfire, or some kind of intel error.

It's indiscriminate murder of kids. Let's be honest with ourselves and call it what is. Anything else is sickening.

RichardOnslowRoper · 04/03/2026 06:27

I don't trust either side. But the girls are dead. That much is confirmed.
"Collateral damage" rather than targeted perhaps. But dead anyway. It has been verified by Western sources outside of Iranian media.

This must be discussed rather than being ignored as Iranian propaganda.

There is no confirmation of that whatsoever, just the word of known liars.

Foggybottomblues · 04/03/2026 02:41

It is very sad but there is no evidence this was caused by US/. Israeli forces. The evidence points to a failed Iranian rocket launch.

I agree. The regime and its proxies are also well known for using hospitals and civilians as human shields. Weren't they also gassing girls' schools at one point?

"In a controversial deal, Israel's government under Benjamin Netanyahu supported Qatar's payments to Hamas for many years in the hope that it would turn Hamas into an effective counterweight to the Palestinian Authority and prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state".

I expect unfortunately Iran will be at fault here too. Using the school as a shield

Apparently they can. How unsettling.

Snopes, an American company is are highly rated fact checkers

Yes, it concludes at the moment it is unable to confirm or deny who was responsible for the bombing. So the claim is “unrated” do not a lot of help really

Who do you believe hit the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza in Oct 2023?

Honestly no wonder the entire world can’t stand those two countries - because they cause the most destruction in the world and then their people think they are free and yet parrot everything they say yet think it’s everyone else that has no freedom of thought.

unfortunately when you put militants inside civilian infrastructure you turn it into a legal target. This is true.

Hamas regularly put tunnel networks under civilian infrastructure and used hospitals and schools to store weapons and operate out of. This is true

Hamas use war deaths as propaganda, we know this because they say so, we also know this because they could have sheltered civilians and they chose not to.

If you attack a population they are likely to attack back and try to ensure you are not in a position to repeat the attack. This is also true.

You may start a fight with an adversary which is better armed and more competent than you. This is true.

Your responsibility is for your own people, the people you attack should not seek to harm civilian populations but equally it is not responsible for their wellbeing. You are. This is true.

There is blindspot with many in regards to the Gaza war and it’s entirely ideological. Iran killed the same number of dead in Gaza within a few days. They were all civilians, this is not the case in Gaza. Yet we didn’t see the same outpouring for dead Iranian children a few weeks ago. I’ve followed both and god knows it hurt my heart to see Gazan children dead or with amputated limbs, it hurt my heart to see the pictures of Israeli children who had been murdered and it hurt my heart to see mums and dad in Iran weeping over their children.

The sad reality is there are people who only seem to care about children when they think Jews or americans may have killed them. We see this with the crying over the death of Khomeini, a man who was responsible for the deaths of many children, he contributed to the purposeful barrel bombing of children in Syria for example, yet no outrage against him. Indeed people like Mothin Ali are going to vigils for the old bastard.

We have ideology masquerading as morality and it is grotesque. Theres no point in trying outrage on me, I’m not a racist so it just doesn’t work.

TheFilliesWillRiseAgain · 04/03/2026 07:07

Iran effectively admitted it was one of their own misfiring missiles?

Wellthisisdifficult · 04/03/2026 07:10

Unfortunately, it might never be known exactly what happened. Women and girls are not treated well in Iran compared with western values. It’s possible that the girls school was being used as a cover for the military.

The USA/israel deliberately targeting a girls school seems the least likely scenario due to there being no strategic value to this (and it actually harming them) There is strategic value to Iran bombing it/denying it accidentally bombed it/not admitting it was a cover for military assets though.

Is that the same Al Jazeera who filmed a rocket from Gaza hitting one of its own hospital parking lots and then deleted the footage and said it was done by Israel and that hundreds were killed in the hospital?

Wellthisisdifficult · 04/03/2026 07:16

2O26 · 04/03/2026 07:05

From Snopes" "While the exact source of the missile strike remains unconfirmed, available evidence does not support the claim that Iranian authorities were responsible".

Nice try - taking a line like this out of the context of the whole document- the article says there is no evidence for or against the statement that Iran bombed the school, hence they leave the claim “unrated” until further evidence is available. You can quote all the lines you like, it does not affect the position in the article that it cannot conclude on the matter yet.

I don't think Iran ever took responsibility for the attack but the local IRGC is quoted as admitting that the attack was a 'mistake'. That's an odd thing to say if you're talking about your enemy
