So old/bad intel?

Apologirs, I see you led with that. 😁

MNing whilst distracted.

Exactly! Bad Intel. I don't think the US would deliberately bomb a girls school but being incompetent and having bad, out of date Intel. Yup, that I can believe.

To be honest given that they managed to kill khomeini in the first hour and then the panel of experts trying to elect a leader, as they were doing, it I doubt their info on active bases is wrong.

Iranians have been putting out pictures of basji in schools, I remember Iranians talking about it a few weeks ago and posting pictures of IRCG forces moving onto school sites. Help one of their spokesmen literally held a press conference in a school yesterday. So as I said the americans could have done it. Very Hamasy of them.

I just don’t trust anything the IRCG says or does tbh.

I don't think any of the parties can be trusted here. The regime are going to kill as many children as they can so they can have their martyrs.

The US/Israel are not going to own up to knowingly striking a building full of children.

And the chances of obtaining any real independant/unbiased information or evidence is buckleys and none. And even if there WAS such evidence. Whichever side was responsible would come up with a reason why it shouldn't be relied on.

Butterfly44 · 04/03/2026 04:37

Over 200 children were killed by the Iranians themselves in the protests last month. Many older teenagers and youth in the estimated 30k+ killed, and large number still in prison. Doctors who treated the wounded arrested or killed. Right now Iranians are firing missiles all over the place. It’s possible it was their own gone wrong as some reports say. Internet is down in the country with only regime narrative allowed.

It's also possible that the entire school story is absolute bullshit. It's war, it may have happened, but Iran, like Hamas and Hezbollah, are known for creating deliberate propaganda depicting the aftermath of supposed attacks on civilians which are later found to have been definite fabrications. The only primary source for this story is Iranian State media, a completely untrustworthy source.

RelativisticJet · 04/03/2026 06:03

The Iranians deliberately sited a missile launch site next to the school - it was a failed Iranian launch.

Look at their policy of indiscriminate attacks on all countries in the region, and their brutal suppression of the recent uprising.

We all know this wasn’t a stray US or Israeli missile.

Yeah I don’t think you are completely wrong, I think there will be an investigation and if they did do it then it will quietly be owned at a later date when no-ones paying attention.

I just dislike the “OMG THEY JUST LOVE KILLING KIDS” nonsense that gets spouted about stuff like this. Very few people are psychopathic enough to want to do that. No US or Israeli commander is going to say “ooohh look it’s a school, I want you to spend hundred of thousands of dollars to bomb that school full of little girls”. Theres a paper trail with stuff like this. It’s a nonsense only believed by people who are so deep in conspiracy theories they can’t see common sense anymore.

I do trust the USA and the Israelis more than the IRCG though, simply because war deaths are used as propaganda by outfits like Hamas, hezbollah etc. hezbollah literally put a bunker underneath a nursery. It’s not the kind of thing Israelis and americans do.

FruAashild · 04/03/2026 06:05

This is from the BBC website on the incident. Neither a denial or a confirmation from the US. If they had evidence it was the Iranians they would say so. If the Israelis though the Iranians were using schools like Hamas they would say so. If the Iranians had evidence it was a US or Israeli bomb they would provide that. So likely an error from one side or the other but no way to confirm.:

On Monday, the BBC asked the US Secretary of State Marco Rubio if the school building was struck by an American missile.
"The US would not deliberately target a school," Rubio said in response. "We would have no interest, and frankly, no incentive to target civilian infrastructure."
"I don't have the details as to what led to it, but what is clear is that the United States would not target a school," he added.
In a statement reported in US media, Centcom spokesman Tim Hawkins said: "We take these reports seriously."
"The protection of civilians is of utmost importance, and we will continue to take all precautions available to minimise the risk of unintended harm," he said.

But when ICE killed Renee Good and Alex Pretti, Kristi Noem, the US Secretary of Homeland Security (a woman who killed her 14 month old puppy and pet goat) immediately called them domestic terrorists. So you can't trust the USA with Trump and his circus clown car cabinet (Mark Rubio is a member)

100% but certain posters evidently have an axe to grind, and anything other than a US/Israeli missile being responsible, does not suit their narrative….

Really good point you made! Hadn't thought of it that way but it makes sense.

Certainly not gullible enough to automatically believe anything that comes from Iranian ‘officials’.

Sorry.. how do we trust US and Israeli officials? The same ones that gaslighted us on the 1000s dead in Gaza.

Are you still under the impression you can trust ANY media/government information in these sorts of circumstances?

salagadoo · 04/03/2026 06:17

This thread is absolutely disgusting. For the last two years we have seen the Israelis target every single hospital in Gaza and multiple schools. And then also do double tap attacks where they target the rescuers. And then you have people DENYING they targeted a school?

‘Why would the US or Israel target innocent civilians?’ Because they literally do it ALL THE TIME. At least 75,000 dead in Gaza - tens of thousands of which are children by Israel using American bombs?? Honestly no wonder the entire world can’t stand those two countries - because they cause the most destruction in the world and then their people think they are free and yet parrot everything they say yet think it’s everyone else that has no freedom of thought.

nomas · 04/03/2026 06:17

The utter lack of humanity by some on this thread about children in a country they don’t care about is despicable.

Shame on the fucking lot of them.

This isn’t Gaza you know. You can’t use those same excuses.

No not Gaza but much.like Hamas the IRGC and Iranian State media are not reliable narrators. When they shot down the Ukraine Airways flight in 2020 killing 176 they denied it.

GeneralPeter · 04/03/2026 06:22

Dirtydianaoh · 04/03/2026 05:05

Why isn’t a failed missile launch a plausible scenario in Iran?

Iran missiles fail also, and the regime is also capable of dishonesty. For that matter it’s capable of killing its own people deliberately.

(I don’t know what happened. But you seem very certain).

I can believe Israel may have deliberately bombed the school. With the USA, I think it was more likely due to bad intel.

Netanyahu has been trying to get every US President to attack Iran. It is only with Trump (an utter buffoon) was he successful. Netanyahu has "been trying to get presidents from both parties to do a regime change operation in Iran with him for decades. Donald Trump is just the first one stupid enough to actually do it." Rep. Sara Jacobs (D-CA), who has family in Tel Aviv, on why the U.S. entered war in Iran alongside Israel.

RichardOnslowRoper · 04/03/2026 06:27

I don't trust either side. But the girls are dead. That much is confirmed.
"Collateral damage" rather than targeted perhaps. But dead anyway. It has been verified by Western sources outside of Iranian media.

This must be discussed rather than being ignored as Iranian propaganda.

Salivating/euphoric at the thought. But unable to provide any actual reason why.

timeserved · 04/03/2026 06:37

Well if no one had been firing missiles and dropping bombs would those poor kids still be alive? And who started the war?

Simplestars · 04/03/2026 06:42

May they rest in peace and those responsible rot in hell.

Wowzel · 04/03/2026 06:44

The Al Jazeera investigation indicates that it was the US/Israel that hit the school.

In the run-up to the war, how many Iranians had each side killed?

Reported up to about 36,000 Iranians killed by Tehran.
