A cottage pie ready meal with ‘use by 25th’ on it!

DS is 7 - will it cause any adverse effects?

I don’t think joking about someone dying is Humorous!

Me too. Lighten up.

And yes, people I love have died.

He’ll live, don’t worry.

They don't immediately go off when the clock strikes midnight

Do you think food goes off at midnight on their use by date?

If I had £1 everything I had eaten "out of date" I would be a rich woman!

I've no idea how those of us over 60 are even alive. We didn't get a fridge until I was 15.

FGS just because someone is uncertain about food safety and feeling anxiety about it as their child is involved doesn't mean you need kindly suggest therapy. Riiiight.

At least PP was responding thoughtfully with genuine advice, which could be useful if OP suffers from anxiety, instead of all the insults people have been hurling at OP for asking a harmless question. What a horrible pile-on. I hope OP is ignoring the rudeness.

Asking a question is the intelligent thing to do if you’re unsure about a potential risk to your child. The only stupidity I’ve seen on this thread is from those suggesting OP is intellectually incompetent.

I've eaten a pack of yogurts dated 24th Jan this week. I'm fine.

The "kind" queries about anxiety and suggestions for therapy are passive aggressive digs.
