Just looked at Olio out of curiosity and they say they remove listings that are out of the use by date and/or listings must be removed for safety reasons.

Do you have to input the use by date or is it trust based?

We can only list use by until midnight so people must collect use by from us that evening. Best before i tend to list for 24 hours.

We have to photograph the date on the listing picture

The dates must be in the photos unless there just is no date.

You can and will lose your fwh status if you are found to be giving away use by items after the date. Also for not photoing the date.

It’s ok, the ready meal can’t read so it doesn’t know it was past its sell by date.

I’m so sorry you’ve had to go through this ordeal, and I feel desperately sorry for your son. He’s the real victim of all this.

You really need to consider whether your marriage can survive this horrendous and egregious dereliction of parental duty.

I often have food a day past their use by date and have always been fine. As others have said it's not like the food inside can tell .

Gosh a day? I might think twice if four or five days after, depending on what it is…
