She is clearly not well but it annoys me when everyone bleats on about "she needs help". Yes, of course she does but do people realise how difficult it is to encourage someone with serious mental health issues to accept it?
I have worked in mental health myself and its very common that people stop taking their medication because they think they are getting better (thats only because they have been taking it prior) or they dont like the side effects. Then, their mental health inevitably deteriorates and they go into crisis again.
When she had conservatorship everyone was going on about how awful it was and how she ought to be free and this is the consequence. It's not simple or straightforward to get people to accept help, even when it's offered, they have the money and its freely available to them. I am quite sure she has been offered help and has had many interventions by professionals but if she wont accept that help then there isnt much anyone can do. Sadly, what usually happens is they have a mental health crisis and end up being sectioned. I hope for her sake this doesn't happen.
