I remember long before pesky blinders, having a mild crush on Cillian. A lot of interviews he mentioned his wife and it’s obvious he adores her. I had a nosy and she looked like a normal, pretty, middle class Irish woman. But seeing her in photos lately at events: she looks, well, stunning: like a model or actress, the sort of woman you would look twice at. I think it’s fairly unusual to glow up in middle age: but she really looks amazing

How can we complain about men treating us as second class citizens and then start threads like this? Women need to start being less complicit in our own oppression.

It’s not sanctimonious, it GENUINELY makes me feel uncomfortable when I am in the company of women and they talk about the appearance of other women.

Are you a little jealous op maybe, she looks just like she always looked to me, natural ageing, bit more make up.

I used to run a holiday club for toddlers. Every year I’d see a few women whose DC had aged out of the club, looking ten years younger with a bounce in their step. I was always pleased for them- the toddler years can be gruelling, especially with pregnancy and recovery in the mix. It was good to see women regaining their health and wellness, along with better sleep!

You probably wouldn't look at Yvonne twice in the street as she is a normal looking woman who doesn't have to rely on getting her breasts out for attention.
She and Cillian look happy together and that's what matters, who gives a shit about randoms slagging off or putting other women down?

It would be rude if she’d made a post saying she looks bland or whatever, but she’s just pointing out that she had a glow up. The whole point of a glow up is you look better than you did before.

I think it’s only in the last few years he’s done more high-profile red carpet stuff. So there’s an extra level of grooming and glam, which would make most people look great. And she was always striking so looks amazing.

I think people/women with more striking features tend to look better as they get older. Great bone structure ages better than softer features. Also we all gain knowledge on what styles & makeup works well on us.

Honestly he always looks a little exposed to me- in imminent danger of frostbite on his cheekbones! I can’t describe it well, but I feel a bit anxious looking at him!

Yep great bone structure provides scaffolding into old age. What can look a bit odd or much in younger years when it feels like everyone else is cute or pretty, pays off later on.
